New Season
February 2023
Universal Movie Studios, Los Angeles, California
Due to his success in the previous season and also due to the fact that Heineken is one of the sponsors of F1, Y/N is shooting a commercial directed by David Fincher
The commercial was simple, but eye catching. After peering into an empty fridge, cameras point at Y/N as he leaves his apartment. Huge mobs of paparazzi fill the streets and stumble over one another as they follow him on an errand to pick up some Heineken from the market
David Fincher, with his keen eye for detail, orchestrates each shot meticulously, capturing the essence of the scene. The camera angles shift seamlessly, providing different perspectives of Y/N's journey through the bustling cityscape
In the scene, after purchasing his pack of Heineken, Y/N slips out of the market's back entrance and into a dimly lit alleyway. The bustling city streets fade away behind him, replaced by the quiet solitude of the narrow passage.
As he walks through the alley, the camera follows him closely, capturing the play of light and shadow on his face. Despite the darkness surrounding him, Y/N's presence radiates with a sense of calm confidence
In the final scene, Y/N enters his apartment, carrying a bag of Heineken beer. As he closes the door behind him, he exhales a sigh of relief, glad to be back in the comfort of his own space. Setting the bag down on the kitchen counter, he reaches inside and pulls out a bottle of Heineken.
With a flick of his wrist, he pops open the bottle, the satisfying sound of the cap being released echoing in the room. Y/N takes a moment to savor the aroma of the beer before taking a long, refreshing sip
As the commercial draws to a close, the scene transitions to Y/N lounging comfortably on his couch, a bottle of Heineken in hand. The TV screen illuminates his face with the glow of an F1 race broadcast
David: Great job today, Y/N.

Two days later...
Y/N and Hailee's Villa, Beverly Hills
Alone in his villa, Y/N spent the day with his loyal companions in Hailee's abscence since she went to London for a quick shooting for a cameo. Maximus, Martini, Brando and Conan played around, the spacious rooms echoing with the sound of their playful barks and the patter of their paws as they chased each other around the house
As the he settled in on the couch, the smooth sounds of Marvin Gaye's "Trouble Man" filled the air, emanating from Y/N's Bluetooth speaker. The soulful melodies and captivating rhythm created a relaxed atmosphere, setting the perfect backdrop for a tranquil evening spent in the company of his furry friends
Y/N glanced at his watch, anticipating the arrival of Tom and Timothee for their golf outing. He felt a sense of excitement at the prospect of spending the day with his friends, enjoying a round of golf while discussing Tom's upcoming wedding plans
Y/N's phone rang, interrupting the tranquil atmosphere of his home. Glancing at the caller ID, he saw that it was Mick. Curious, Y/N answered the call.
Y/N: Hey, Mick. What's up?
Mick: Hey Y/N. Are you home?
Y/N: Uhh...yeah.
Mick: Listen, I need a big favor. I'm in LA with Ella and I was planning on taking her to a nice place to celebrate our 10 month anniversary. But we couldn't find a sitter for Michael. Would you mind watching him for a few hours?
Y/N hesitated for a moment, considering his plans for the day.
Y/N: I'm actually heading out to play golf with Tom and Timothee in about half an hour, Mick. But I could watch Michael until then if you need.
Mick: That would be a huge help, Y/N. We shouldn't be too long. I'll drop him off at your place in a bit.
Y/N: Sounds good. See you soon, Mick
...
Twenty minutes later, the doorbell rang, and Y/N went to answer it. Mick stood outside with baby Michael in his arms.
Mick: Hey, Y/N. Thanks for doing this.
Y/N: No problem, Mick. Michael's always welcome here.
Mick handed Michael over to Y/N, who cradled the baby carefully.
Y/N: Have a great dinner with Ella. We'll be fine here
As Mick departed, he left behind a baby carrier, a baby bottle, and a small bag of diapers, all carefully arranged near the doorway. Y/N picked them up, nodding appreciatively at Mick's thoughtfulness. He secured the baby carrier, ensuring it was properly adjusted, and then settled Michael into it snugly.
Y/N: Alright, little man. Looks like it's just you and me for a while.
Michael cooed softly in response, seemingly content in his new perch
30 minutes later...
As Tom's SUV pulled up in front of the villa, Y/N stepped out, baby Michael snuggled securely in the carrier against his chest. Tom hopped out of the driver's seat, a wide grin spreading across his face as he caught sight of Y/N and the baby
Y/N: Hey, Tom. Ready for some golf?
Tom glanced at Michael, a surprised expression crossing his face.
Tom: Uh, Y/N, is that...?
Y/N: Yeah, this is Michael. Mick's with Ella for their anniversary, so he asked me to babysit.
Arriving at the golf course, Y/N and Tom stepped out of the SUV, Y/N with baby Michael still securely nestled in the carrier against his chest. Timothee was already waiting for them near the entrance, a golf bag slung over his shoulder
Timothee: Well...what do we have here?
Y/N: Timmy, meet Michael Schumacher II. He's Mick's son.
As they made their way towards the clubhouse, Y/N gently bounced baby Michael in the carrier, eliciting delighted giggles from the little one. Despite the unexpected addition to their outing, Y/N found himself enjoying the chance to bond with Mick's son, feeling a sense of warmth and affection as he interacted with the baby
As the game progressed, Y/N, Tom, and Timothee found themselves immersed in the rhythm of the golf course, each swing of the club punctuated by banter and laughter
Y/N's skill on the course was evident as he expertly navigated the fairways and greens, his focus unwavering despite the occasional distraction of baby Michael's cheerful babbling
Y/N: Years of playing Wii Sports have led to this moment...
However, at the end, Tom came out on top. Showing Y/N and Timothee his experience at golf
Tom: Thanks for the game, guys. It's been a blast. And to you, Y/N, I'll be expecting that hundred now
Y/N laughs, conceding defeat graciously as he hands over the money.
Y/N: Consider it a donation to the Tom Holland Wedding Fund. Enjoy spending it, mate.
After that, they settle into a comfortable corner of the clubhouse, the conversation turning to the upcoming wedding plans.
Tom: So, boys, what do you think? Any thoughts on venue, theme, or...anything?
Timothee leans back in his chair, mulling over the question.
Timothee: Well, I think the venue should be somewhere picturesque, you know? Like a countryside estate or a vineyard. Classic and romantic. I mean...it's your choice
Y/N nods in agreement, sipping on his drink.
Y/N: Yeah, that sounds great. And for the theme...how about something elegant but not too formal? You know, relaxed vibes with a touch of sophistication.
Tom considers their suggestions, nodding thoughtfully.
Tom: I like where this is going. A scenic venue with a relaxed yet elegant vibe...sounds like the perfect setting for Daya and me to tie the knot
Michael reaches out with chubby hands, grasping at the air as if trying to catch the sunlight streaming through the windows. Y/N chuckles softly, marveling at the innocence and pure joy radiating from the little one.
Y/N: Looks like someone's wide awake today. I'm surprised he watched us play a whole game of golf without yawning
Timothee smiles, watching the heartwarming interaction between Y/N and Michael
Tom: Me and Daya, we discussed that it would be either at a country club here in LA or somewhere in the UK. I suggested Eastnor Castle
Y/N: Why don't you guys find a middle ground? You pick somewhere in Europe, like Greece or Italy, instead of making it in either of your home countries
Tom considers Y/N's suggestion, mulling it over for a moment before responding.
Tom: That's actually not a bad idea. A destination wedding in Europe could offer a unique experience for everyone involved. Plus, it would give us a chance to explore some beautiful locations. I'll talk to Daya about it and see what she thinks.
Y/N nods in agreement, pleased that his suggestion was well-received.
Y/N: Sounds like a plan. Let me know if you need any help with the planning. I've got some connections in Europe that might come in handy.
Y/N takes a moment and notices that baby Michael was yawning
Y/N: Oh, now he's sleepy. We should get going.
Y/N, Tom and Michael leave the clubhouse as Tom drives them back to Beverly Hills
A couple of minutes later, Tom drives away and Y/N carries baby Michael back inside the villa, cradling him gently as they make their way through the front door
With Michael settled in for a nap, Y/N takes a moment to relax, the day's activities catching up with him. As he reflects on the events of the day, a sense of contentment washes over him, grateful for the time spent with friends and the opportunity to care for baby Michael
Y/N settles into a comfortable chair and reaches for his phone, navigating to Hailee's contact and initiating a Facetime call. After a few rings, Hailee's face appears on the screen, her expression lighting up as she sees Y/N's familiar face.
Hailee: Hey, babe!
Y/N: Hey, Haiz. How's London treating you?
Hailee: It's good, but I miss you.
Y/N: I miss you too. Michael says hi, by the way. He's napping right now.
Hailee's smile widens at the mention of Michael
Hailee: Michael is there?
Y/N: Mick and Ella are celebrating their anniversary in the city and didn't have anyone to look after him. I got babysitting duty today.
Always, Haiz. So, how's filming going?
Hailee: It's been busy, but good. We're wrapping up soon, though. I'll be back home before you know it.
Y/N smiles warmly
Y/N: Say...I got called by Zak for winter testing at Silverstone. Just a chance to look at the car before the season begins. You wanna extend your stay there?
Hailee's eyes light up at the suggestion, her excitement evident even through the screen.
Hailee: Are you serious? That sounds amazing! I'd love to.
After they hang up, Hailee's mind races with thoughts and emotions as she considers the sight of Y/N tenderly caring for baby Michael. It's a gentle reminder of the depth of their relationship and the potential for their future together
As she ponders the idea of starting a family, Hailee's heart swells with warmth and a sense of longing. She imagines the joy of watching Y/N become a father, the laughter and love they would share as they navigated the journey of parenthood together
Hailee reflects on the complexities of their lives and careers. However, she can't help but feel a pang of sadness at the thought of the challenges they might face in starting a family. Their demanding schedules and frequent travels could make it difficult to prioritize time together and nurture a growing family.
Despite these concerns, Hailee remains hopeful. She knows that love and commitment can overcome even the greatest obstacles, and she's confident in their ability to navigate the ups and downs of life together. With open communication, trust, and unwavering support for each other's dreams and ambitions, she believes they can create a fulfilling life
Back at the Villa, Y/N watches as an ominous black cloud looms overhead, Y/N's senses are heightened by the distant rumble of thunder. The sudden change in weather sends a shiver down his spine, and he can't help but feel a sense of unease
Y/N's connection to the elements had become sharp over his years of racing. Through countless hours spent on the track, he had developed an intuitive sense for the subtle shifts in weather patterns, honing his ability to anticipate changes in conditions
The sudden rumble of thunder startles Michael awake, and his cries fill the room as he seeks comfort from the unfamiliar noise. Sensing the baby's distress, Y/N moves swiftly to soothe him, cradling him gently in his arms
Y/N: Just a little thunder. Nothing to be afraid of
As the storm rages outside, Y/N continues to hold Michael close, providing him with the comfort and security he needs until the thunder fades into the distance and the calm of the night returns
Y/N: You've got that look again. The one I hoped I had when I was a lad. Your face is just beaming. Your smile got me boasting, my pulse roller-coastering
Y/N's voice fills the room, the melody of "For Your Babies" by Simply Red carrying a soothing and comforting tone. As he sings, the gentle rhythm and heartfelt lyrics seem to have a calming effect on Michael, who listens intently, his cries gradually subsiding
As Y/N sings to Michael, memories of his own childhood flood back, recalling the gentle lullabies that Donna would sing to him. He reminisces about the warmth of her voice, the softness of her touch, and the unconditional love that she showered upon him
Y/N: I don't believe in many things, but in you...I do
As the last notes fade away, Michael's cries have ceased, replaced by a peaceful calm. Y/N smiles down at him

Six days later...
McLaren F1 Team Winter Testing
Silverstone Circuit
As Y/N takes the new McLaren car for a spin at the Silverstone Circuit during winter testing, he quickly realizes that things aren't quite going as smoothly as he had hoped. The car feels sluggish and unresponsive, lacking the speed and agility he had come to expect from McLaren
He continues to push the McLaren around the Silverstone Circuit, he notices a persistent issue with understeer. Each time he approaches a corner, the front end of the car feels heavy and unresponsive, causing it to drift wide and lose precious time
Y/N: What the hell is going on?
Rob: We're still checking, Y/N.
As Y/N expresses his frustration over the radio, Rob, his engineer, responds calmly, assuring him that they are still in the process of diagnosing the issue
Y/N: Amazing...what is this car you guys gave me? It understeers like crazy, the weight distribuition is a disaster and the engine...is Mercedes fucking us in the ass?
Y/N's frustration is palpable as he vents his concerns about the performance of the McLaren car to the team over the radio.
Rob: Y/N, we understand your frustration, but we're working through the data to identify any issues with the car's setup and performance. We'll get to the bottom of this.
Rob's response is measured and focused, emphasizing the team's commitment to addressing the challenges they are facing
Meanwhile, the McLaren engineering team continues to analyze the data and conduct diagnostics to pinpoint the root cause of the understeer and other performance issues Y/N has encountered on the track
After the session, Y/N guides the McLaren car back into the garage, his frustration evident in the way he maneuvers the vehicle. As he brings the car to a stop, the engineering team springs into action, surrounding the car to begin their analysis
Y/N glances over at Lando as he approaches, his expression a mix of frustration and curiosity about the car's performance.
Y/N: Did you get a chance to drive this?
Lando: Yeah, I had a go earlier. It's definitely...challenging out there.
Y/N nods in understanding, knowing that Lando's feedback will provide valuable insights into the car's behavior.
Y/N: What did you notice?
Lando takes a moment to gather his thoughts before responding.
Lando: The understeer is pretty severe, especially in high-speed corners. And the balance feels off, like the weight distribution is all over the place. Plus, the engine feels sluggish compared to what we're used to.
Y/N: I think there's something wrong with the ICE.
His words hang in the air, prompting a collective pause among the engineers as they absorb his assessment.
Rob steps forward, his brow furrowed in contemplation.
Rob: We'll need to run some diagnostics and check the telemetry data. If there's an issue with the engine, we'll find it.
Y/N: I need to have a word with Zak and Andrea
As Y/N approaches Zak Brown and Andrea Stella, McLaren's new team principal. The gravity of the situation weighs heavily on his shoulders. He knows that addressing the issue with the car's engine is paramount to McLaren's success in the upcoming season
Y/N: Zak, Andrea, we've got a problem with the car. It's understeering like crazy, and I suspect there might be an issue with the ICE
Andrea Stella nods in agreement, his demeanor composed yet focused.
Andrea Stella: I'll assemble the team and have them start analyzing the data as soon as we get back to Woking with the car. We need to pinpoint the root cause of the problem and implement a solution as quickly as possible
Y/N: I appreciate that, boss.
After talking to his supperiors, Y/N goes to Hailee, his expression reflecting a mix of frustration and determination after the testing session.
Y/N: Hey, Haiz.
Hailee looks up, sensing the seriousness in Y/N's tone
Hailee: You don't look particularly happy
Y/N: We're a month away from the new season and the car feels very bad...
Hailee: I'm sorry to hear that, babe. It must be incredibly frustrating, especially with the season looming so close.
Y/N nods, his frustration evident in his features.
Y/N: Yeah, it's not ideal timing, that's for sure. We've got a lot of work to do to get the car where it needs to be before the first race.
Hailee reaches out to squeeze Y/N's hand reassuringly.
Hailee: I have faith in you, Y/N. You and the team will figure it out. You always do.

Race Night
As the race progresses under the floodlights of the Bahrain International Circuit, Y/N remains focused and determined behind the wheel, pushing his McLaren to its limits in an effort to maintain his position in the top five.
With each corner and straight, Y/N navigates the circuit with precision, expertly maneuvering through traffic and maintaining a consistent pace to stay ahead of his competitors. The roar of the engines fills the night air as the cars speed around the track, the tension palpable as the drivers jostle for position.
Despite the challenges of the circuit and the fierce competition from the other drivers, Y/N remains composed and focused, his eyes locked on the road ahead as he continues to push forward with determination and skill
However, in the closing stages of the race, Y/N's engine starts smoking
Y/N: Rob, what the hell is going on?
Rob: Y/N, we're seeing some issues with the engine. It looks like we're losing oil pressure. We're monitoring it closely, but you need to be careful out there.
Y/N grits his teeth, frustration evident as he feels the performance of his car starting to deteriorate
Despite the setback, Y/N remains focused, adjusting his driving style to conserve the engine and minimize the risk of further damage. With each passing lap, the smoke grows thicker, but Y/N continues to push forward, determined to finish the race and salvage whatever points he can.
As the checkered flag looms closer, Y/N's engine continues to struggle, but he refuses to give up. With skill and determination, he navigates the final corners of the circuit, crossing the finish line amidst a plume of smoke.
Despite the engine issues, Y/N manages to bring his McLaren home, securing a hard-fought points finish in the season opener
Rob: Good lad, that's P8 for us. Sorry about the engine
Y/N: Not your fault, Rob. Let's keep working.

March 2023
McLaren F1 Factory, Woking
Y/N and Lando sit across from each other in a meeting room at the McLaren factory in Woking, frustration evident on their faces as they discuss their ongoing struggles with the power unit.
Y/N: This is getting ridiculous, Lando. Three races in, and we're still dealing with the same engine issues.
Lando nods in agreement, his expression mirroring Y/N's frustration.
Lando: Yeah, mate, it's been a nightmare out there. Every time I try to push, it's like the power unit just can't handle it. We're losing too much ground on the straights
Y/N runs a hand through his hair, a deep sigh escaping him as he contemplates their situation
Zak and Andrea then enter the meeting room, their expressions grave as they take in the scene before them. They exchange a brief glance before turning their attention to Y/N and Lando
Zak: Y/N, Lando. I know things aren't going as planned, but the team is trying their best to solve the issue with your engines.
Andrea: We understand the frustration, but we need to stay focused and work together to find a solution. Our engineers are analyzing the data and exploring every possible avenue to resolve the problem.
Y/N: We appreciate that, Zak. But time is of the essence, especially with the championship race heating up.
Lando: Yeah, we can't afford any more setbacks if we want to stay competitive.
Zak: I hear you loud and clear. We'll do everything we can to get to the bottom of this and get you back on track. In the meantime, I need you both to stay patient and keep giving your best out there
After that, Y/N has an idea
Y/N: What if...we change our engine supplier?
Andrea: It's worth investigating, but we'll need to gather more information and analyze our options thoroughly before making a decision. We'll consult with our technical team and evaluate all available alternatives
Y/N: What if...there's already an option out there?
Zak: I'm listening.
Y/N: We need a supplier that can help us with our power issues and that can help us put fear in the heart of our competitors.
Lando: Do you have a specific supplier in mind, Y/N?
Y/N: How about we become McLaren...Lamborghini?
