Yeonjun and you abandoned the race car as soon as possible, you couldn't have police following you. Well, they did anyways. It was quite critical.

"Come, we gotta hide somewhere as fast as possible.", he took your hand and immediately both started running into the darkness of the forest.

It was cold and freezing but the rush of adrenaline kept you warm.

Quickly after the police arrived at the diner you parked.

You kept looking back but the two of you kept on running, out of breath but you kept going, you couldn't stop just now.

It got darker and darker the more you kept running and so it got scarier and scarier but you didn't mind - as long as you were with Yeonjun, nothing and no one could stop you.

You looked back once again but then stopped, making your boyfriend confused: "Why are you stopping? We gotta-"

"Look.", you said out of breath and looked back and no flashlights were visible.

"Wait, they're not out here as well?", he tilted his head.

"Don't police always use flashlights once they enter dark territory?"

"Yes, usually."

"Does that mean they thought we took another route or took another car?"

"Probably. But let's go, we can't stop now. We actually gotta get somewhere to get a car though."

"Right.", you agreed and so, you still kept running, you tried to stay as close to lights as possible. In the distance you could see the city lights.

Eventually you made it to the next service stop.

"Okay, let's use the bathrooms real quick but then we gotta go, okay?"

"Yes. I really have to go.", you kinda chuckled and he did too, so you walked towards the building. Quietly you entered the ladies room and looked around. Okay, luckily no one else was in here.
So, you went into a stall and locked the door. You sat down and took a breath.

Suddenly someone entered the restroom as well, making you kind of nervous but you just thought it could be Yeonjun since he was faster.

After you were done, you left the stall and immediately faced an unknown old man's face.

You let out a scream since you weren't expecting that.

"Hmm, what's a young lady like you doing out here all by herself?", he tilted his head and checked you out, making you feel disgusted and annoyed and extremely nervous. He let you through to wash your hands but stayed next to you, looking at you.

Okay, just breathe... you tried your best to stay calm. As long as he wasn't doing anything, you were fine but this situation could go wrong any second now...

You dried your hands and slowly turned around and he was just about to say something, then he got hit with baseball bat. You screamed but as you saw your boyfriend, you gasped out of relief but as you saw the man's body on the floor, panic rushed in.

"Fuck... is he...?"

"I don't think so... probably just unconscious... let's go...!", he took your hand and pulled you outside. There he stopped and held your hands. "Baby... are you okay? Did he do anything physical?"

You shook your head and took a breath: "No, he didn't... I'm as okay as I can be... but thank you for saving me, baby..."

"Of course, I'm here to protect you, my love.", he gave you a peck on the lips and then you two made your way to a car Yeonjun found.

"Let's finally get out of here.", he said and opened the door of an old car for you. "Oh yes, please.", you got in, so he closed the door and got in himself.

Quickly he took out the wires and rubbed them against one another until it started sparkling. Yeonjun started the car and then drove off onto the motorway.

"Let's hope cops won't find us so fast again...", he concentrated on the street while you looked outside the window.

"We just gotta cross the borders and then it won't be so easy."

"True, the surprise I planned was across the borders anyways."

You drove all night, well, Yeonjun drove and insisted on doing so even though you tried to convince him otherwise several times.

Eventually you fell asleep, making him smile but also sigh as he was in his thoughts but the radio caught his attention.

"Yeah, racer Yeonjun Choi seemed off that day, perhaps things went wrong in his private live. I mean, him and his girlfriend didn't seem as lovely that day either, maybe there's relationship problems.", a male moderator said.

A female moderator added: "Did you see the photos? Apparently he's also participating in illegal street races."

"Illegal street races? Wow, that's a low."

"It definitely is."

A third moderated now said: "Come on, cut this guy some slack. He can't be perfect all the time and he's also just a human, some days nothing works the way we want to. So, if they'll cut him off of races, I'm not supporting that."

"Did you not hear him tell people to f off?", the other male one said.

"I did but have you never had a day like that?"

"You're saying it like you allow this kind of behaviour?"

"Well, I'm not saying it's good behaviour but sometimes everything is just too much, so leave him alone."

"Someone seems to be a loyal fan.", the female laughed.

Yeonjun just sighed and turned off the radio.

"What exactly happened?", he asked himself and scoffed. Hopefully you were going to tell him once you were awake again.

Slowly the sun started to rise in the distance, making Yeonjun yawn at the thought of being awake all night.

As he made a rather aggressive turn, it woke you up, confused you opened your eyes and looked around and then at him.

Yeonjun noticed and put his right hand on your thigh: "Babe, everything's fine, no worries."

"Hmm, okay.", you said in a sleepy tone and closed your eyes again.

He smiled to himself after he quickly looked at you.

As the sun was shining brightly on the car, you actually woke up, sat up and stretched your body as much as possible.

"Morning, my beautiful girlfriend~", Yeonjun smiled at you and you smiled back, "Good morning, my handsome boyfriend~"

You kept on sitting sideways, looking at him and admiring his side profile.

He chuckled: "Babeee, enjoying the view?~"

"Oh yeah, I just love looking at my beautiful boyfriend~"

"I love it when you do that~ I love doing that too, so I can't wait to finally make it to our destination~"

"Where are we going to anyways?", you asked.

"Kai suggested this beautiful cottage at a lake. I was like, how do you know this? Turns out it's his actually."

"Damn and he just lets us stay there?"

"Yes! Man, he's really the best."

"Oh, he is!", you started, "so how long until we're there?"

"According to this map, not much longer.", he gave you the map you didn't even know he had. You took it and opened it, then saw the red circle around it.

"Can't wait for it to finally be only the two of us again~"

"It already is, baby~", he smiled.

"True~ but I mean like, when we're there, it's really only us and no one to bother us."

"Oh yes, you're right. Nothing and no one but us, the thing I love the most."

"Me too, love.", you smiled and looked at the map again, then back at him, "actually, Kai texted me the other day, saying he made us fake IDs and they're already waiting for us at our destination... how is he doing all that? He really has connections everywhere or what?"

Yeonjun chuckled: "Oh yeah, this guy knows like so many people."

"Such an advantage."

"I agree."

Not even half an hour later and you guys finally made it. Driving past and then inside a forest until you made it to the beautiful wooden cottage right at the lake.

You both started smiling.

"It's so beautiful, damn!", you were excited and so was he.

"Can't wait to make love~", he smirked.

"Yeonjun!", you playfully hit his arm, making him groan.

"Ayy, as if you don't want it either~"

"Well, not right now.", you smirked at him and then left the car, making him do the same.
