Hiccup and Toothless were enjoying there morning flight. It's been weeks since the fire incident. The forest was still as black as Outcast Island, but in some places in the forest the green was eager to see the bright yellow sun. Hiccup smiled. Sometimes green overpowers red. The dragons settled in what was left of the forest. It was small but the dragons didn't care. Over the weeks Morningglide and a Nadder named Darkstripe started mating. Darkstripe was injured from a Dragon Hunter trap and broke his wing. And was depressed from the injury. The riders helped healed him and help him get back on his feet. After a few weeks Darkstripe was as good as new. Morningglide helped Darkstripe a lot, and over time Morningglide and Darkstripe became closer.

Darkstripe had a hard time getting Morningglide's parents or more of her father to agree with mating Ragingfire's daughter. Hiccup and the riders watched the moment with interest. Fishlegs copied everything the Nadders shown in their mating and protective instincts. Ragingfire, Morningglide's father was very protective over her. Darkstripe finally convinced Morningglide's father and then Darkstripe had to convince someone else. Toothless.

Toothless was very very very protective over morningglide. Ragingfire and Toothless became good friends mostly cause they both wanted to protect Morningglide from any harm. Including mating a male. When the two dragons found out that Morningglide was mating Darkstripe they nearly blew up the stables. Hiccup and the gang did there very best to calm the shocked overprotective dragons.

Darkstripe was a nicely slick with black with a sunset red scales across his big strong waist. Three red lines on each wing. His wings were nicely long and strong. Darkstripe looked fierce but was very kind hearted. The gang liked Darkstripe very much. And was very impressed with his features. Darkstripe was a impressive Nadder. Fishlegs thought he might be a titan wing, but the gang didn't know for sure... only time will tell. Darkstripe was excellent on stealth and was excellent at battle skills. Toothless and Ragingfire were very impressed but that didn't stop them. Toothless and Ragingfire even pulled pranks on Darkstripe to leave Morningglide, like putting a eel on his horns. It took every will power for Toothless not to freak out or even swallow the eel. Toothless was on a tree above Darkstripe and Morningglide and dropped it on Darkstripe. Darkstripe freaked out and ran all over the forest. Morningglide struggled to calm her mate.

But Toothless and Ragingfire's plan didn't work out as they planned. Morningglide helped Darkstripe with the eel, and all their prank did was get them closer. Leaving Toothless with a very angry Hiccup. Hiccup spied on his dragon to see what he was up to and was clearly mad at what he saw.

Soon Darkstripe became a part of Morningglide's family. And not long after that he became Morningglide's husband. Time pasted quickly for Ragingfire and Toothless but they knew that Darkstripe would keep his promise on keeping their Morningglide safe. If he didn't he will never see the sun again. Everything was peacefully for the two newlyweds.

Hiccup and Toothless were working on new moves. Things had been a little tense. But with Morningglide and Darkstripe's wedding things became a little bit more settled.

"Come on bud push it!" Hiccup encouraged. Toothless flew faster and did a back flip and did three multiple blasts and spun right in the middle of the purple inferno. "That's it bud!" Hiccup said with pure freedom. Hiccup let out a whoop of joy into the open blue sky. Hiccup let the cold morning air fill his lungs and let his arms fly free. Toothless made a slow stop and glided through the red-orange clouds. Toothless let out a roar that echoed across the sky. Hiccup laughed.

"Ah man! That felt good! What do you say bud... keep flying or head back to the Edge?" Hiccup asked with his eyebrows raised. Toothless gave him a 'really' look and blasted full speed making the loud whistle as the sped across the ocean.

"I guess that means a no!" Hiccup yelled against the wind. Toothless laughed. The morning was amazing. The two could stay in the sky all day without a problem. Today Hiccup gave the gang a day to rest and to do what they wanted to do. Astrid and Heather went with their dragons to the dome to do target practice. Fishlegs and Meatlug were resting in their hut, while Snotlout and Hookfang were making a new 'S' for their hut. Not that they were actually doing it, though. The twins were just creating new plans for this year's Loki day. Boy what they had stored for Snotlout. They could hardly wait for Loki day to arrive. Hiccup and Toothless were going to spend the day in the forest and just relax for the day. Hiccup and Toothless didn't have as much time alone as they once have. So they decided to spend the day bonding.

Hiccup and Toothless landed in the lightly covered forest. The late afternoon sun casting beautiful shadows and warm light. Where a small pool of water layed. Rocks covered the edges of the pond. One looked like a diving board. Hiccup made a note to not tell the twins about this place. Thin layers of newly grown grass circled the beautiful pond. It looked like the cove. Hiccup smiled at the memory of when him and Toothless first met and bonded. Terrible Terrors sleeping in the new grown trees. Hiccup jumped off Toothless and scanned the area. Hiccup actually like this part of the forest. He wondered what it looked like when the forest was still as green as dragon nip.

"Ok bud what do you say we do some quick exercises. How about hand signals. We really need to work on that." Laughed Hiccup. Toothless just growled.

"Come on bud you need to work on them. We both do. It's best to be safe then sorry!" Admitted Hiccup. Toothless just turned his back on him. Hiccup just crossed his arms.

"Oh you want an apology?!" Toothless rumbled. Hiccup smiled. "Is that why your crying big baby boo!" Hiccup said making baby noises. Toothless glared. "Well try this on!" Hiccup said pushing himself against Toothless's black chest. "Oh! You feeling it bud! All my heart felt remorse!" Toothless walked over to the rock that looked like a diving board. "Yeah, yeah you wouldn't let a one legged-" Hiccup looked at the water and yelped.

"Ahhp! Ohhh, your right, your right, you win. You win!" Surrendered Hiccup. Toothless grunted and fell back rolling himself and letting Hiccup fall to the soft ground.

"Oh he's down. Oh and it's ugly. Dragons, Vikings enemies again. Locked in combat to the greater-" Toothless landed flat on Hiccup's chest. "Uhhhhh..." Hiccup said. Toothless licked Hiccup completely.

"Argh!" Hiccup groaned as he rolled backwards and stands up quickly. "Argh, you know that doesn't wash out!" Hiccup said wiping off Toothless's saliva off his brown leather armor. Toothless laughed. Hiccup just stared and flicked the rest of the slobber on Toothless's nose. Toothless growled quietly as he wiped his own spit off of him.

Hiccup just laughed. "Come on bud." Hiccup gestured to the pond. Hiccup walked to the edge and sat down and looked at his reflection and looked at what Toothless did to his hair when he gave Hiccup a unwanted bath. Hiccup just shook his head in happiness. What would he do without Toothless. He thought. Hiccup took his leather armor off leaving him with his red tunic. Hiccup wiped off any last remaining of Toothless's so called wet slobbery bath. Toothless tried catching a small fish that shined when the sun shines on the fishes red green scales. Toothless watched the fish carefully. Hiccup watched him and smiled. He had to get Toothless back somehow. Toothless was so focused he did hear or see Hiccup walking behind Toothless. Hiccup took a few steps back and ran into Toothless knocking him into the water. Toothless gave a surprised roar as he went under the blue aqua. Toothless swam up to the surface. Seeing Hiccup laughing hard. Hiccup hugged his chest tightly as he laughed.

"That's what you get for giving me a slobbery bath!" Hiccup laughed. Toothless gave a angry snort in reply. Toothless slammed his tail against the water and water slammed into Hiccup. Hiccup who was laughing was now choking at the sudden coldness that swept over his thin body. It was now Toothless's turn to laugh. "Not fair. We were even!" Pouted Hiccup. Hiccup just crossed his arms as his hair was dripping with water. "Your going to pay!" Hiccup said pointing at Toothless. Toothless just stuck his tongue at him.

"Oh yah!" Hiccup challenged. Hiccup lunged at Toothless and they both fell back into the pond. That was now filled with scared fish and a crazy dragon and his rider. Hiccup resurfaced and splashed his best friend as Toothless came up for air. Toothless sneezed the water out of his nose. Hiccup laughed. Toothless grabbed Hiccup by his two front paws and pulled Hiccup down. Hiccup came up as soon as he went down coughing up water. Toothless swam away from his rider so he didn't face the same fate that his rider just faced.

Hiccup coughed up the water. His nose burned as well as his throat. Hiccup scanned the pond seeing his friend swimming away from him. Hiccup took a deep breath and went under and swam right by Toothless. Toothless looked around furiously around the water looking for Hiccup. Hiccup swam closer and got to Toothless's chest and scratched Toothless's pressure point and Toothless went down as if fed Dragon Nip. Hiccup swam up to the surface and took a deep breath a cool air. Toothless was on the shore shaking himself off and coughing. Hiccup swam to the edge as well and lifted himself out of the pond.

"I told you I would get you back! Now we're even." Toothless rolled his eyes. Hiccup and Toothless sat at the edge drying off there now wet bodies. Toothless wrapped his wings against Hiccup and Hiccup felt warmer from the sudden heat. The now evening sun making the world look entirely different. Hiccup and Toothless watched mother earth make its changes for the night. Hiccup loved the peace that came with the magnificent view. Peace. Peace is what Hiccup wanted. Hiccup's thoughts wondered around. The world looked so peaceful and happy, but on the other side a war is happening against the Dragon Riders and the Dragon Hunters. Hiccup sighed. Peace seem so far away yet he was breathing it in right here.

Toothless sensed his riders change in mood and nudged his rider. Hiccup scratched his scaly friends and smiled. Hiccup wondered what life would have been like if he didn't meet Toothless. But Hiccup kept himself from thinking of that cause it didn't happen. Instead he was here soaking in his friends warmth and enjoying an amazing view. The evening sun went down against the edge of the world. The clouds turned a light black. The sun making its finally goodbyes for today. Hiccup didn't want this day to end. Hiccup looked at the sky and saw orange and purple. The colors reminded him of a Monstrous Nightmare. Hiccup leaned in against Toothless's broad chest. Even the most dangerous dragon has a soft spot. Hiccup never wanted Toothless to leave him. Toothless is his brother and his best friend. Just the mere thought of losing Toothless made his heart shatter.

"Toothless everything looks so amazing and peaceful, yet when the sun shows itself we're at war with the Hunters." Hiccup said pointing to the sky. "I just want it to stop." Hiccup looked downcast. Toothless purred and wrapped his tail tighter around his rider. "Thanks bud." Hiccup said grateful. Hiccup got out of Toothless's warmth and dusted himself off. Hiccup was nearly dried when the two decided it was time to head back to the Edge.

"Come on bud. It's getting late. Besides I don't won't the gang to worry after what's happened over the weeks." Hiccup said clipping his armor back on. Toothless purred. Hiccup mounted Toothless and shot into the sky. The now lightly black sky with streaks of blue painted the sky and stars looked like diamonds. Hiccup felt himself let go and he leaned against Toothless and closed his eyes. Toothless flew around the island a few times breathing in this moment. Toothless watched a shooting star soar across the night sky and Toothless closed his eyes and made his wish. Toothless smiled. His wished was to help him keep Hiccup safe.

Toothless saw the Edge and flew downward. He landed with a thud waking Hiccup. Hiccup yawned. "Come on bud let's go to bed." Yawned Hiccup. Hiccup dismounted Toothless and headed straight to there hut. Toothless didn't argue and walked next to his rider. The two made it to their hut and Toothless went straight to his rock slab and warmed it up making burn marks on the already burnt rock and settled down. Hiccup was already in bed and his head lead comfortably on his pillow.

"Goodnight bud." Hiccup said and he drifted of to sleep.

I hoped you liked it. I was wondering, has my writing improved? I wanted this to be really detailed. It probably wasn't but I did my best. Should I write about Heather and Fishlegs... you know like together or a date? I'll only do it if you want me to. Cause I don't want to write something nobody doesn't want to read.
