Here on Berk every year their is one day with no troubles, no attacks, nothing. It's a day to spend with our mothers. We call it mother's day. It's suits it. Unless your the twins. The gang left the edge and headed to Berk to celebrate mother's day. Everyone was really excited to see their parents again. Especially their mothers. Except Hiccup. He never got the chance to do stuff with his mother. His mother died a long time ago. The village said she was taken by a dragon.

"Hey hiccup what are you going to do for mothers day... with no um mother?" Asked Snotlout.

"Do you just seriously asked him that question snotlout?!" Glared Astrid. She was concerned for hiccup. He never spoke about his mother. I mean she wouldn't blame him. Hiccup doesn't know what his mother even looks like.

"Astrid it's fine." Hiccup said. Sure it bugs him, but this is just another routine.

"Hiccup what are you doing for mother's day?" Asked Fishlegs.

Hiccup did have something planned. Something he did every year. He always made sure no one saw him. Only toothless knows he's secret.

"I don't really have something planned but I'll come up with something for my mother." Hiccup stated. He had to keep a sort of a low profile. The gang just nodded. The rest of the rest of the flight was really uncomfortable for the gang. Berk soon enough came into view.

"Berk is near. Once we get their rest up. Tomorrow is mother's day. So no explosions please." Hiccup said looking straight at the twins. The twins just shrugged their shoulders.

"No promises." Laughed Ruffnut. The gang just rolled their eyes.

The dragon finally landed on Berk's shore. The riders dismounted their dragons and headed to their families houses. Along with their dragons. Once everyone left hiccup and toothless just started at the upcoming evening sky.

"What do you say bud. Up for a quick flight?" Hiccup suggested. Toothless didn't need to be told twice. The two shot up into the sky. Even though they just arrive from the long journey they could never get tired of having a evening flight. Hiccup just relaxed and let his back rest against toothless's. Hiccup felt free in the sky. Nothing can go wrong when he's up here.

Hiccup and Toothless slowly made their way to their own house. Toothless landed in front of the Haddock's household. Hiccup entered seeing he's father there. Sitting with a ice cube on his head.

"Hey dad. Tough day?" Asked hiccup grabbing a chair. Toothless went and sat next to Skullcrusher who was sleeping near the campfire.

"Yah. Sven kept on scaring the sheep, and Gobber needed help with the forge cause Gustav and his dragon crashed on the forge. Then I had to marry a couple and as soon as I married them they wanted a divorce. Their so many other things but enough about me how are you and your friends enjoying the great beyond?"

"Oh it's great. We finished our primary defense. Yah it's great." Hiccup replied. Hiccup wasn't really focused today. His mind kept wondering. Asking questions that doesn't seemed to have an answer.

"Dad what was mom like?" Hiccup asked. His dad never liked to talk about Valka. He never found the strength to. Maybe it's time for him to move on. Stoick took a deep breath.

"She was a adventurous type of gal. She always loved discovering new things. She was just like you son. Always causing trouble. I loved her dearly. I thought nothing could be better. Until we had you. It was a perfect. Half the time we were making sure you didn't crawl into a hole." Stoick laughed.

Hiccup was listening closely. He never knew he was just like his mother. Hiccup chuckled.

"Wow I-I never knew that. Dad how did you know you were well I don't know loved her?" Hiccup question. Stoick rubbed his chin in deep thought and smiled.

"Oh we met when their was a raid. She was helping the children and elder get to the great hall. She was helping one of the elders when the house they were in collapsed. They were both trapped. I rushed to help. I found both of them, your mother and the elder they were both safe. I helped your mother out and we both just started at each other for a while, until Gobber came into the picture."

Hiccup just laughed. Everytime Gobber comes in its always the most romantic or serious time ever.

"What happened next?"

"He pushed us away and kept babbling on and on about something. I wasn't listening cause me and your mother were to busy having our own silent conversation. Gobber must if saw us cause he kept on looking at me and your mother. We both laughed. He left and we wanted to spend the rest of the night together, but we were in the middle of dragon raid. After that we spend as much time we could spare together." Stoick finished with a smile enjoying the memory.

Hiccup loved hearing about his mother. God's he would do anything to at least get a glance of her.

"Dad I know she was taken by a dragon, but do you every have a feeling that she might be out their?" Asked hiccup.

"Sometimes, since we seen the dragons soft side, but I don't really think about it. Why do you ask?" Stoick asked raising his eyebrows.

"N-nothing I was thinking she might still be well you know alive."

"Son she's dead. I know you never met her but you didn't see what I saw. Well you don't remember it." He answered. Hiccup just sighed. He knew he wasn't going to win this one.

"Well son it's getting late. I suggest you and toothless call it a night." Stoick said getting up and heading to his room. Hiccup nodded and whistled for toothless to come. Toothless followed hiccup to his room. Toothless went over to his rock slab and layed down, but hiccup wasn't as tired as toothless. Hiccup had his toy dragon his mother made him when he was younger. He lost it when he was little. Him and the gang found it when they went to breakneck bog. Hiccup never wanted to go back there.

"Hey toothless do you ever wonder what your parents were like?" Hiccup found out toothless never met his parents when he asked him two years ago on mother's day. Toothless nodded his head in a yes motion. Hiccup walked up to toothless and layed by him. Hiccup always felt secured when he was near toothless.

"Do you have anything that belonged to your parents?" Toothless nodded his head no. Hiccup felt sorry for his friend but it's also what makes them stronger.

"What do you say bud. Are you up for mothers day?" Hiccup looked at toothless. He just rolled his eyes making hiccup laugh. Hiccup yawned.

"Goodnight bud."

Everyone on Berk was up as the sun made its usual appearance. The gang med up in the plaza with their mother's, except hiccup.

"Hello hiccup." Greeted Mrs. Hofferson.

"Hello Mrs Hofferson." Hiccup said nodding his head on greeting. The gang was with their mom's talking about their plans for today. Hiccup kinda felt a pang of sadness. He always wanted to feel what the gang felt on mother's day. But today he has something planned. Something he thinks he's mother might like.

"Hey hiccup why don't you join us today?" Asked Astrid.

"Uh no I don't want to interfere with your families and besides I might have something to do." Hiccup said slowly backing away. He didn't want to interfere with his friends mother's day.

"Hiccup your coming with us. You can join us on our activities." Astrid suggested again. More like a command.

"Hiccup it won't be a problem." Mrs. Hofferson asked.

"Uh n-no thanks but I should get going." Hiccup said turning away, but Astrid grabbed his hand and turned him back around. "Your coming with us, and your going to have a fun time." Astrid said nicely.

"I don't have a choice do I?" Hiccup said.

"Nope."

The gang and their mothers headed to the great hall and had a little breakfast and headed to do their mother's day activity. They made cakes, and they all went over to the cove and talked about their adventures on the edge. Once evening came the gang wrote letters to their mothers even though they were right their. The gang suggested hiccup to write a letter to his mother. He didn't argue. Not that he even had a choice. Hiccup wrote what he would have said.

Dear mom,

I love you very much. I wish you were here right now. If what dad said was true we would have done a lot of adventurous things. I really hope that one day we might meet. Every mother's day I think about you. I might not know you at all, but I love you and that's what counts. You would've loved it here on Berk. We discovered new things almost every day and I think you would have had a blast. I miss you mom a lot. I love you to the dearest of my heart. Happy mother's day.

Hiccup wrapped his letter into his leather armor. The gang wasn't watching him so hiccup slipped away. The evening sun slowly went down and the stars awoke. Hiccup and Toothless rode to the highest cliff on Berk. Hiccup's dad said she always loved coming here. He couldn't blame her the sight is magical when the moon shows itself.

Hiccup went to the edge of the cliff and sat down letting one leg dangle.

"Hey mom. Happy mother's day. I have a lot of questions that I wish you could answer. Sometimes I blame myself that I was the reason you were taken away. I just... all I want is to see what everyone else sees. I want to see you smile. I want to feel your embrace. I just want you mom. I want you here with me, with dad. I want us to be a perfect family. Like I always wanted." Hiccup said with tears slowly coming down. Toothless cooned comforting his rider. "I'm okay bud." Hiccup said with a little difficulty from the tears.

"Mom I just want to say I love you with every love, heart, and soul. I just wanted to say thank you for everything. You made my dad the happiest man alive. You made him have the perfect life. I don't remember anything we did together but when dad talks about you and us it feels me with happiness to know that we had a great time together. Thank you mom. I love you. Happy mother's day." Hiccup said looking at the moon and the stars. Hiccup smiled. Hiccup got up, toothless following.

"Thanks bud for being their for me." Hiccup laughed. Toothless just licked hiccup throwing hiccup to the ground. Hiccup laughed as toothless hit his stomach.

"Toothless! Toothless stop that tickles. Quit bud or I'll put an eel on your head." Hiccup laughed. Toothless stopped as soon as hiccup said eels. "So much for lighting and death itself." Hiccup said with his eyebrows raised, while crossing his arms. Toothless just growled making hiccup roll his eyes.

"Come on bud let's go home." Hiccup suggested. Toothless happily agreed. Hiccup and toothless headed back to Berk and landed near the middle of the village meeting Astrid and the gang. "Oh Astrid sorry about well sneaking away." Hiccup said nervously rubbing his neck.

"Hiccup where did you go? We were worried. If your dad didn't say not to go looking for you we would have gone off searching the whole island!" Astrid said poking Hiccup's chest.

"I was doing something for my mother." Hiccup defended.

Astrid calmed immediately. "Oh I'm sorry for yelling at you but please tell us next time." Astrid asked. "Muttonhead." Astrid said punching Hiccup's shoulder. Hiccup and the gang just laughed.

"Hey I say we go to the great hall and get something to eat." Said the twins. Everyone nodded their heads in agreement. Toothless bounced up and down waiting to go eat. Making the gang laugh at toothless's playfulness. Everyone enter hearing all the mothers and children spending time with their mothers. The doors shut leaving happiness inside the great hall.

Little did they know islands away a dragon was flying away with many dragons behind it. On top of the dragon was a rider going further and further away from Berk.

I thought this would be a good story. Father's day has past and i thought of doing it but when i thought of hiccup and his mother I had to write. It's probably not the best but it works for me. Updates are coming just wait for a little bit. I promise that I will make the stories better. I hope. Your the readers, and I'm just the writer. Please vote and comment.
