Note: I decided to timeskip to when the gang first encounters the Death Song on Melody Island. Please don't hate on me.

A few weeks later, the gang have started to go on missions together again and are working on trying to find a new base to stay at. The group had stopped for the night on an island and were sitting together chatting like old times. Naomi was glad to be amongst all her friends like this again as she sat next to Nightstorm who was currently laying down beside her and she said softly to her as she used her ability to understand dragons to know what Nightstorm was thinking as she pulled out a notebook her mother gifted her and began to draw Nightstorm as she did fairly often "What are you thinking about girl?" Causing Nightstorm to answer as she made soft purr-like roars to her that Naomi understands as "It's so amazing being amongst our friends like this again Naomi! I've missed spending this much time with Toothless, Stormfly, Hookfang, Meatlug, Barf and Belch, Duskcutter, Rockettail, Hawkwing, Dodge, Whirlstriker, Ragetwister and Swiftwing." Causing Naomi to nod as she says in reply "I'm with you girl, I'm glad to be with my friends like this again too. It's been so long since we spent time together like this." Then Hiccup walks over and sits next to Naomi and says as he watches her draw and knowing that she was probably having one of her "special talks" with Nightstorm "What were you and Nightstorm talking about?" To which Naomi replied with a smile "We were talking about how much we are enjoying our time with all of you like this again." Now he knew she loved to draw but he never actually saw her do it so after he inspected the drawing of Nightstorm laying down that Naomi just made he said kindly "Naomi this is really good." This made her smile as she said in reply "Thanks Hic...I mean I'm nowhere near as good as you but I try my best at it anyway." Only for him to say back "No I mean it Naomi, your drawing is amazing." After he begins talking with Fishlegs who was sitting not to far off from Naomi, she turns and notices Astrid, Ashlyn, Asa, Runa, Luta and Dalla all giving her looks as Ashlyn leans over and whispers "Tell him Naomi! You know you want to!" Only for her to softly snap back as she she says "Ashlyn I already told you I'm not going to push things! When I'm really ready to tell him then I'll tell him!"

A while later, the group decides to call it a night and Naomi walks over next to Nightstorm before Nightstorm kindly folds her wing over her as Snotlout comments "Why in the name of Thor do you always do that with Nightstorm?" So Naomi replies "Because whenever we are in the woods like this and spend the night in them Nightstorm and I like to cuddle this way, right girl?" Receiving a bark-like roar in agreement from Nightstorm before Naomi says to the others "Good night guys, see you in the morning." At first none of the others respond until she clearly hears Hiccup kindly say in reply to her from his spot next to Toothless which actually wasn't very far off from her and Nightstorm "Good night Naomi." This made Naomi blush and she was glad she was under Nightstorm's wing so that the others couldn't see it as she thought to herself while smiling a little "Really? It's those kinds of things that draw me to him. Why does he have to do sweet little things like that?"

The next morning Naomi was still fast asleep and was totally unaware that most of the dragons were gone until she felt someone gently nudging her awake while she also heard a voice calling out her name but still somewhat asleep yet she couldn't quite make it out at first until she opened her eyes and saw Hiccup kneeling down next to her and she says as she sleepily yawns "Hic what's (yawns) going on?" She then realizes that Nightstorm is missing and she immediately says worriedly as she gets up "Wait a minute where's Nightstorm?" So Hiccup explains "We don't know Naomi, all the dragons are gone." Just then Toothless comes out of a nearby bush and Hiccup says after he gently rubs him knowing by the look in his eyes that Toothless wants to tell him something important "What is it bud? Is it the other dragons?" Only for Toothless to latch on to Hiccup's prosthetic leg as he drags him a few inches before the leg breaks off and Naomi says curiously "How far do you think he's going to go this time Hiccup?" Only for Hiccup to say as he sat up "I don't know he seemed pretty committed." But it wasn't long before Toothless returned back and gave Hiccup back his prosthetic. After Hiccup put it back on he said after Toothless gave him a apologetic look "No it's okay bud."

A bit after that the group follows Toothless to wherever he wanted to take Hiccup to and find a weird nest with a bunch of dragons covered in a odd amber-like substance and Snotlout yelled out "Hookfang! Hookfang!" Hoping that his Monstrous Nightmare was nearby while Nash and Hunter yelled out "Duskcutter!" "Rockettail! Where are you guys?" Moments later, Fishlegs calls out not too far ahead "Astrid I found Stormfly!" As the rest of the riders eventually find their missing dragons Naomi can't seem to find Nightstorm so she decides to do something she knows that Nightstorm has been trained to respond to and makes a noise similar to a Night Fury roar (Naomi has trained Nightstorm to respond to this call) and just as Hiccup (who was walking just a few paces behind her) was about to ask her what she was doing they both hear a roar that responds to her and she says "Hiccup it's Nightstorm, she's close." After that it isn't long before she and Hiccup find Nightstorm high up on a ledge covered in an amber like substance just like the others and Naomi jumps up to Nightstorm's ledge just as Hiccup calls out to her "Naomi no!" Right as she lands on the ledge and she says as she walks over to her dragon friend "Don't worry girl, I'm going to get you out of here." That is until a loud roar is heard and Naomi and all the others turn to see a huge dragon land in the area and Naomi says since she has seen this type of dragon before on special little travels with Nightstorm "Oh no, we're in a Death Song nest! The dragons must have been attracted to it's song during some portion of the night." As she looks down to see her friends scrambling for cover she notices Hiccup clutching onto Toothless to prevent him from attacking the dragon right as the Death Song picks up a Terrible Terror and flies away. Once it's gone Fishlegs says "We should come up with a name for this dragon since we've never seen it before." Naomi though says "I've seen that type of dragon before, I call it a Death Song." Fishlegs then says to her since he can't help but geek out for a minute "That fits, the dragons are attracted to the song it makes and once they are lured in the Death Song encases them in an Amber-like substance." Just then the Death Song returns and this time Toothless does attempt to attack it only to be trapped in the amber too before Hiccup calls out "You guys, get your dragons free now!" The minute he says that Naomi desperately tries to get the Amber-like substance off of Nightstorm until she notices that the others are now trapped in amber and that it's heading straight for Hiccup without him noticing so she cries out "Hiccup it's coming for you!" Before he can be trapped in it Naomi jumps off of the ledge and in the way taking the blow for him after she manages to nudge him out of the way just in time only to be trapped in the Amber-like substance herself and Hiccup calls out to her only for the Death Song to chase him again.

   He returns hours later with a little backup from some Thunderdrums that apparently are there to rescue their baby and after the Death Song is gone the Thunderdrums free Naomi, Nash, Hunter, Snotlout, Astrid, Ashlyn, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, Fishlegs, Asa, Runa, Tula and Dalla as well as their dragons and Toothless once Nightstorm is freed Naomi runs up to her and hugs her before she says "I was so worried about you girl, don't ever run off after a Death Song like that again." Only for Nightstorm to give Naomi a chirp-like roar in reply before Hiccup leads everyone away from the Island after dubbing it Melody Island. That night after they land on a different Hiccup has decided to allow the gang to come up with ideas for their new personal areas when they find the perfect Island to make their base and Naomi is currently working on the plans for hers. First, her hut and then the area around it. Her hut will have a deck where Naomi can sit and enjoy time in the sun drawing Nightstorm or coming up with ways to improve "Dragonwrath" or maybe even a spot where she and Nightstorm can hang out, there will also be a hot tub on her deck where she can take it easy. In terms of the hut itself Naomi wants her roof to be painted with black and light-blue stars as well that also happen to have as well just like Nightstorm. She also wants the roof to feature a totem of a Night Fury on the roof as well as the Wildseeker family crest. For the inside she wants the main living area to be pretty big since Naomi's brothers will probably come over and spend time with her and there is an area where dragons can hang out as well. It features some chairs and a couch so that any of the others and Naomi can sit down and a fire place. Naomi also wants a staircase for her hut since she wants an upstairs loft where her bedroom will be. As far as her bedroom is concerned it will be on the second floor of the hut. Her bed will have a headboard with the Strike Class symbol on it. She will also store "Dragonwrath" and the daggers she has on her in the room as well. There will be a spot next to her bed where Nightstorm will sleep since Nightstorm has always liked sleeping close to Naomi (she was a teenager when Naomi first met her so she was still able to fit on the end of Naomi's bed at her mother's hut but once she grew too big Nightstorm would lay on the floor next to the bed and sometimes rest her head on the end of it). Since Naomi likes stain-glass she wants stain-glass windows in her room, the stain-glass will actually have drawings that Naomi made of herself and Nightstorm carved into them and there will also be a nightstand and a dresser. Downstairs their will be an extra bedroom incase one of the girls want to spend the night with her (will actually be for Nicole in the future). The hut will also feature a small kitchen where she can cook for everyone or herself when she wants to. Hiccup soon notices her drawing and says curiously "What are you drawing now?" To which she says with a smile "My plans for my area when we find a base." She then shows him the plans she made and he says after looking it over "I'm sure we can work something out Naomi. I think it's best that everyone get their own space when we find the perfect place for our base." Naomi then stated with a smile as Nightstorm came over and stood close to Naomi's shoulder also interested in what she was doing so Naomi stroked her on the snout "I think that is a wonderful idea Hiccup. That way when we find our new base no one is fighting over ideas they have for their personal space." After that Naomi sat down next to Nightstorm in the dragon rider's new temporary camp while Nightstorm laid down next to her and wrapped her tail around her as Hiccup smiled at the two while he sat down next to Toothless.
