This is Carrie Unswicht, you guys, your resident F1 Rounduper! 

It's finally here, people! The official calendar for the new season is finally here! You can click below to paste every single weekend into your personal calendar, I know I will. 

We all know that Covid made it real hard to plan the season, and it needed some necessary changes from the order we all knew by heart. 

While the 2020 season had been heavily delayed and curtailed, and last year was mainly about getting back to the normal flow. From the outset F1 stated its intention of running a more normal schedule in 2022, albeit with a record-breaking 23 races. 

The first of those had to be postponed though. The Australian Grand Prix was delayed until November, and Bahrain became the new opening race. Yes, you read it right, people! We begin our journey in Bahrain!

As we near the date to finally begin the 2022 Formula One season and pre-season testing will finally close… we get a little bit of gossip. 

Thank the Lord! We have all been so deprived of some news, that a little crumb is just enough for us, eager fans. 

Degrassi called together a press conference for this weekend! Yes, the DEGRASSI! Degrassi, meaning The Holy Scuderia Degrassi, the oldest and most successful racing team in F1. Notorious for secret keeping and being private. So, them doing a press conference… is more than weird.

Maybe it has something to do with our very own Mason Verena, the one-time World Champion and Degrassi's – very hopeful – lead driver for the new year, as Martin Cantoni was ultimately retired. And of course, the One Hit Wonder did prepare for this role.

Or maybe it has something to do with Mason's team leader, dear old Matti also retiring… who will lead the main driver's team then? Maybe even Sullivan Meier, current head of statistics and overall girlboss. She is paving the way for all young women who aspire to work in motorsport! A legend, really.   

 But the real question is… Who will join Mason in Degrassi colours? Will they bring in someone from F2 or a junior team? Or just gently hatch someone off from another team? 

Well, luckily for us… Intel is very near. The press conference is in two days.
