The next few weeks or was it months? Time was hard to tell since there was no electricity, running water or all those conveniences we used to have.

Anyway, life was a bit less peaceful than I hoped.

We had new members, and a few attacks, but that wasn't the main problem.

The main problem was that we had more people. More mouths to feed, more supplies needed.

That meant that we would need to go out more, and that increased the chances of  being seen by the infected or any other threats like animals.

Oh did I mention that animals are still around but the effects of the nuclear explosion had turned them more aggressive and MUCH more deadly.

Anyway, we were happy to have more members but some wee still nervous around Evan and there was lots of distrust.

But most of us learnt to accept Evan,  so why can't the others?

Wow, it was crazy, I never thought that I would be friends with a mutant.
Then again, I never expected the apocalypse to happen and now...

I miss my old life so much.
I wanted to go back to when I still had my family.
Back to when my life was simple and boring.
Back to when all I was stressed out about were my failing grades despite trying to improve and back to all the problems I had then.

I guess I never knew how much I missed all those little things in my life...
