Early morning, sizzling sounds of cooking eggs and bacon with the soft glow of the September leaves. Calm and warm in the small house of two and a few small dogs.
The second person finally rose from bed with stinky eyes and stiff muscles. He stretched the stiffest out and popped some bones here and there. He stopped for a second to catch his balance and sight as everything was blurry and he felt dizzy.
Eventually, he made his way to the kitchen. Still a hand to the wall as he walks down as for his balance is still uneven.
Greeted with a soft smile from a woman that resembles him, his mother. She put a plate down on the table and asks him how he's been feeling. It's the same answer for two months now; "I'm dizzy, thirsty, tired and my chest is still sore." His mom went to the fridge and walked back to her son with a bottle of water.
"I'm getting very worried, you weren't able to sleep for like two months. Maybe you should go see a doctor," she said as she hands the bottle to her son.
"No, no, I'm fine," he said before taking a few gulps of water.
"James..." She whined.
"I'm okay," James said. He started to eat his breakfast and hummed to the taste. His mother tapped her chin and thought of what illness James could have. The thirst doesn't seem like an sickness from the top of her head, neither does chest soreness. Dizziness? Any fever or cold really.
She kept thinking and thinking, maybe best to drag James to a doctor.
After some arguing and bickering, James changed his mind and went to the doctors with his mom. They walked inside, waited, got called up, and guided down the hallway by a doctor. He introduced himself respectfully.
"Hello, I'm Dr. Ciro," he said as he sat down. He smiles at James. "What's the matter?"
"I'm always thirsty, tired, dizzy, and my titties are aching."
"Titties?" Dr. Ciro looked very confused.
"His chest, not actual boobs," James' mother reassured the doctor. "But they are sore." Dr. Ciro nodded.
They talked and talked, asking boring questions about boring things about medical stuff. James mentions some cramps in his stomach but that happens when there is pressure to it, which is one issue to his sleeping problems. Dr. Ciro eventually started taking notes on James like his heartbeat, lungs, joins, etc. However, nothing out of the ordinary. Dr. Ciro just suggested not putting pressure on his stomach, drink plenty of water, and stay in bed a lot so he catches himself falling asleep.
They got home and James ended to his room to try to pass out again. His mom kept thinking and still was worried. She busted out her laptop and started to Google his symptoms. Some articles showed up and she read through most of them, but she got more worried about James. The big names and long scary descriptions frightened her. She read about 15 descriptions and the bad things that can take a toll on James.
She rushed into James' room and opened the door, "James! I fo-" she stopped.
She saw her restless son was sleeping like a newborn. On his side and cuddling his bundled up blanket and multiple pillows. He was slightly snoring and sure looked comfortable. James' mom smiled and left the room, shutting the door without a sound.
She'll be on his neck when he wakes up.
