"Anika!"Shivaay called as he banged the door, there he was, waiting outside the bathroom for his wife to show up, they had decided to go visit Sigiriya

which was the largest and most sophisticated single construction project ever undertaken in ancient Sri Lanka. The ruins of Sigiriya only represented 20% of the actual structures. And most buildings were made of wood while those of wood were destroyed by time those made of brick were here to provide a glimpse of the ancient era.

Its centerpiece was a huge rock which appears as though it were a large cloud tethered to earth festooned with a spectacular work of art, the Sigiriya Frescoes,

 which harked up to a Sky Palace on top of a huge rock 200 meter tall.

"I'm coming!" Anika answered. Lady Kumbkaran had to wake up early this day, around 5 to get ready for the 4 hours long trip to Sigiriya.

"I don't know why you want us to go there today itself, we just arrived yesterday, I'm so tired, I wanted us to go sight seeing but not this far!" Anika whined, most because she didn't get to sleep.
Shivaay knew that when she would be less tired, she would thank him for the day. They got down to join the driver and to Shivaay's shock Anika greeted him by saying:

"SUBA UDASANAK WEWA. (Good morning in Sinhala, thank you @ChristineGomes2 for the courses, love you mommy <3)"

"Wait Anika, were did you learn Sinhala in just two days?" Shivaay whispered in her ear.

"My little secret.." Anika said and Shivaay rolled his eyes while smiling. She would always surprise him.

During the drive to Sigiriya, Anika was taking pictures here and there,enjoying the beautiful landscapes. 

They stopped from time to time,taking pictures of the beautiful view that Sri Lanka offered them.They didn't even know when they reached Sigiriya as they were too busy taking pictures and romancing.

When they reached the place, Anika first stretched her sore body then opened her eyes wildly.

"Vah! Shivaay! It's beautiful!" She gasped and Shivaay smiled at her.

"And with you it's breathtaking.." He said and she hit him playfully on the chest.

"You will never change, cheapda!" Anika said and dragged him to visit the place.

"I'm very happy to be here with you Shivaay." Anika said as they were going up the stairs. As they were halfway, though, Shivaay was breathing heavily.

"Hey pati parmeshwar, are you okay?" Anika said as she pulled his cheeks.

"Yes..just a bit tired..don't you want to stop here?" He asked.

"Shivaay, stop doing your drama, you'll love it. Sigiriya is one of the best beautiful place in Sri Lanka, we can't come here and not visit it, and the view is breathtaking!" Anika said mocking him just like he said the night before and Shivaay laughed and drank some water.

"Okay Jhansi ki rani, let's go." Shivaay said and they proceeded to reach the top of the monument.

"Shivaay, this is just, wow! I'm feeling like I'm at the top of the world!"Anika gasped as she saw the breathtaking view before her. 

Shivaay grabbed her petite waist and they took a picture on the top of the monument, while kissing.

"I will never thank you enough for the happiness you're putting in my life.." Anika said kissing his nose.

"And I'll never thank you enough for colouring my life with your craziness, my precious wife.." He said kissing her forehead.

They were driving back to the hotel for at least a hour when Anika leaned onto his shoulder and began talking rubbish because she was tired.

"Your khanji ankhen are so beautiful.. I never want to see tears in them Shivaay.. I'm sorry, because of me... Pinky aunty is now dying with shame... bhai wanted to see her... lose because..she hurt me.. So we made a plan to destroy her..I'm sorry..."

As the words proceeded to his brain, as Shivaay understood that Anika and her brothers planned a revenge against his mother, his reaction was the most unexpected one.
