(WARNING: BRIEF MILD FANTASY VIOLENCE.)

Y/N's POV

I stood up, steadying myself on the chair. Glancing over, I see Harumi's purple eyes darken. "They've found me." I didn't have to ask who because I knew who. The Sons of Garmadon. Or what's left of them.

"Y/N!" Jay cries at the door, and I unlock it quickly. "Get out of here!" I motion for Harumi to follow, and I grab her hand, pulling her alongside me. "We need to keep you safe." My eyes radiate assurance and promise. She looks nervous. Jay looks back at me. "There's not much damage to the Bounty yet, but you need to be able to get off quickly it case it starts going down. You know where the parachutes are." I nod, but a lump is in my throat. So many homes had been taken away from me. My parents home, then I moved to the junkyard with Jay, then to the Monastery which burned down, and now I might be losing the Bounty. The thought of it rocks my world and I feel a little dizzy. I'd forgotten all about Harumi being a prisoner, the only thought of her was to keep her safe. I guess you can't do much if you're handcuffed anyways. "No funny behavior, okay?"

But Harumi is looking down. "You can let them have me." Her voice is soft. "I don't deserve to be here." Shock pours over me at her vulnerability and realization of her own crimes. "No--Harumi, you're, well--we're here to protect you." I settle on, and pull her down the hallway. "Come on. We need to be ready to flee if the ship crashes." But as I turn to continue ahead, one of the Sons of Garmadon members looks me in the eyes. His face is covered in what appears to be a skeletal face design, and he's got two daggers, one in each fist. He hurls them at me, clear that he wants to take out me and leave Harumi alive for whatever reason he's been told. We leap at each other, and I can only hope the training I've gone through for self-defense with the ninja is good enough. He hits my stomach hard, sending me on the ground. When he's about to kick me while I'm down, I use rule number three from one of my favorite shows, Trollhunters, kicking him real hard in a place that would really hurt. He's not only shocked, but wounded, which gives me time to get up and hit and kick him. If only I had elemental powers, I think for the hundredth, thousandth, millionth time in my life. This would already be over.

As I think I'm doing a great job, he shoves me back with great force. I see a flash of metal, and know I am about to be shot. Then someone stands between me and my attacker, blocking whatever shot he could make.

"Kill her, kill me too. And I know you want me alive." Harumi hisses. In a blur of a moment, Harumi has the gun in hand and shoots the guy. She helps me up and I regain my focus as we speed down the hall. The realization hits me like a truck.

"You. . . Saved me." I whisper. "Thank you."

"Yeah, yeah. Don't mention it." Harumi replies in an annoyed voice, but I see a smile tugging at her lips. She pulls me into a closet and shuts the door almost silently as I hear footsteps thud by. Once we figure it's safe to get out, I see her cheeks are bright red. I give her a quizzical look and she tells me, "Claustrophobia." I have an odd feeling that isn't all everything, but I mean, I'd be scared to death if a group of people were after me, so I don't question it. Plus, being in tight and small spaces isn't really ever a picnic.

"Y/N! Are you okay?" Kai comes rushing up to me, his greenishy-amber eyes wide. I nod, and want to tell him everything, but I know there's no time. We feel another explosion, and I almost lose my balance, which the fire ninja helps me regain. He stares me in my E/C eyes. "The ship is going down. You need to get off, now." Again, I feel time blur by as he helps us get to the parachutes and gives me a hug (in which I try to hide my blush). "We'll all see you soon, okay? There's a cave up ahead. You know, the one where we stayed for a while when the Great Devourer was released." I feel Harumi shudder by me for some reason. Was she afraid of snakes or something? I mean, who isn't afraid of the Great Devourer, it's huge, right? "It's going to be okay. Now go!"

And then reality washes over me again. I feel scared. "We have to go! You have to jump!" Harumi tells me. Then I hear, "Three. . . Two. . . One. . . Jump!" As her grip on my hand tightens and we are sent flying down. I feel paralyzed for a moment, then I see Harumi's lips move, telling me to open the parachute. So I do. Within moments, we are safe on the ground and seek refuge in the cave.

As much as I want to sit down, I can't. I'm shaking all over and can't help pacing around. Images of my family flash through my mind. Jay. Kai. Nya. Lloyd. Cole. Zane. Master Wu. Misako. Pixal. What if I lost them all, just like my parents? I've always feared for their lives, but this feels different somehow. I've always been able to find some way to help back in the Bounty, able to access instant communication with them. But now there was nothing I could do to help. I felt like a coward, fleeing the scene like that. Part of me argued I didn't have a choice. The other part told me that even if I had disobeyed orders I would have been useless up there without any powers. I hadn't even been helpful with Harumi. She had saved my life, not the other way around. Harumi lets me pace in peace, sitting quietly and waiting.

After what seems like an eternity, I hear a crash. I race to the edge of the cave and see the Bounty on the ground, parts of it on fire. "NO!" I scream, grief and rage consuming me. I start to run towards it but arms hold me back. "NO! JAY! KAI! NYA! LLOYD, COLE, ZANE, SENSEI, MISAKO, PIXAL, NO!" I scream their names, as if my voice will bring them back.

"Shh, it's okay." Harumi consoles me. I never knew she was this strong to hold me back. Or were my emotions weakening me, as I collapsed on the ground.

"IT'S NOT OKAY! THEY'RE GONE! MY FAMILY, THEY'RE ALL GONE!" I choked, tears streaming down my face.

"No, they're not. Look up." She whispers, tilting my face to the sky. I see the Sons of Garmadon retreating, then, wait, is that--

"You're alive!" Harumi lets me run forward as they land on the ground. I crash into Jay, giving him a big hug. "I thought you were gone." I whispered, my voice broken, and tears running down my cheeks. "I thought I lost you all."

Jay wraps me in a protective older brother hug.

"No, we're here." He tells me quietly. "Ninja never quit."

"Ninja never leave people behind." Kai places a hand on my shoulder.

"Ninja don't let the enemy overpower them." Lloyd's voice is scratchy.

"Ninja will always protect those they love." Cole adds.

"Our odds of survival were 25%." Zane tells me.

"But we've had worse." Pixal nods.

"Most of all. . . Ninja will always stick together." Nya smiles at me, and I feel her words about my worth come back to me.

"What about home?" I whisper after a moment, looking up at the wreckage.

"We'll get it fixed." Misako reassures me.

"It wasn't as bad as when half of it was in the first realm." Kai laughs. "But this won't be easy, either."

"Then get to work." Sensei bops Kai on the head, and we all laugh--even Harumi, who has stayed quiet. Everyone eyes her as Master Wu finishes, "Never put of for tomorrow what can be done today."
