The two girls entered the towering palace, their masks upon their face. Dee smiled like an idiot at she swayed a bit to the music that played through the hall.

"C'mon Gabby, lighten up! It's only for tonight! And you're not even wearing pink!" Dee cheered as she spun slightly.
Gabby grumbled crossing her arms, "Yeah, that's the only upside to it."

The two immediately were followed through the doors by three other males.
One which was trying to cheer his friend up, "Kevin, it can't be that bad. It's not like we don't know if they're alive or not."
"Yeah, and what happens when we find out she's dead, or even my sister hm!?" Kevin growled. Matthew just pat Kevin's shoulder, "They're stronger than that, you should know."
"I know, but...."
"Who knows, maybe they're here." Devin chimed as he walked away towards the food table.
Matthew nodded, "We may just see them here. Besides, since when does your sisters best friend give a chance not to go to a dance?"
"True." Both chuckled upon thinking of the bubbly female.
"Alright, see you in a few, make sure to at least dance with one person okay?" Kevin sighed, "Fine. Only one person."
As soon as Matthew left, a girl ran up to Kevin and put out her hand, "Care to dance?"
"Well, not really." The female grinned from ear to ear, "Wasnt really an offer." She took his hand and dragged him out to the dance floor.
Gabby stood next to the food table, drink in hand, watching Dee dance with a guy. She had a small smile/scowl on her face; she took a sip of her punch just as Devin walked up next to her, "Can I get past you please?"
"Hm, sure." Gabby got out of the way and Devin took a piece of chocolate from the plate.
As he stuffed it into his mouth, Gabby observed him and his movements. Devin took notice and turned back to her, "Is there something I can help you with miss?"
Gabby just shook her head, "Nah, you just remind me of my friend's brother."
Devin 'hm'ed in response, "Who's your friend?"
She pointed to Dee on the dance floor, "Her." Devin stared for a second, "Hey, she's dancing with Kevin....I'm shocked."
"Kevin?" Gabby asked confused.
"Yeah, he never dances, even though he can." Devin replied as he took a strawberry from the table. Gabby smiled, "I have or maybe had a brother named Kevin, thing is.....I don't know if he's alive."
"What did you say your name was?"
"I never said it, but it's Gabby."
"....As in Dragonwolf?"
"Yes, why?" A smile spread across Devin ' s face as he wrapped his arms around her in a hug,"Man, I thought you were dead!"
Pink tinted Gabby's face,"Okay, but I don't exactly know you."
"Really, you don't remember the idiot you were friends with?" Gabby's eyes widened,"Wait, that Devin? Then that means..."

The two on the dance floor just danced along with the music. They kept each-other company by giving small chat every now and then.
"Your sister....she sounds like my friend." Dee laughed as Kevin had completed his story on his sister.
"Really? Huh, well my friend Devin had a huge crush on her and still does."
"Weird, I had an adopted brother named Devin. He liked my best friend (even though the brother did not really agree)." Kevin's eyes wandered over to Devin who was talking with the shocked Gabby, "I guess he's doing fine now though."
Dee caught his glance and followed it. Her eyes lit up, "Oh that's Gabby!"
Kevin snapped back to her, "Your friend's name is Gabby?"
Dee nodded, "Gabby!"
Gabby turned to her and began flailing her arms. Dee blinked before she took Kevin's hand one more and pulled over to the others, "What's wrong?"
"Dee you remeber Devin right?" Gabby asked gesturing to the male beside her who gave a small wave. Dee released Kevin's hand and hugged Devin, "Devi!!!"
"Hey Dee!" Devin hugged the female back in a cheerful manner. Kevin stared, "Dee..."
Devin looked to the confused Kevin, "Dude, this is my sister,"Then pointed to Gabby, "and that's Gabby."
Kevin and Gabby stared at each other for a second before Gabby hit Kevin over the head.
"Ow, what was that for?!" Kevin screeched. Gabby had small tears in her eyes, "Do you know how worried I was?!" She then embraced him. Kevin hugged back, stroking her hair. Matthew came back, "So, what I miss?"
Both girls gasped and glomped him, "Matthew!"
The other two boys facepalmed, "You recognize him, but you don't recognize us?"
"Well of course, it's easy to tell who Matthew is." Gabby replied.
"Yup!" Dee agreed.
"Wait, does that mean your Kevin?" Dee asked causing every one to sweat-drop.
Gabby shook her head, "You just realized this?"
Dee gave a nervous laugh, "Yeah...."
Gabby went up next to her ear and whispered, "Which means you just danced with him."
Dee's face changed to a light red, "S-shut up." The boys watched the two.
Kevin intervened, "So how have you guys been surviving?"
"We're awesome." The girls said blutly.
"No really. How?" The girls looked at each other, nodded, then lifted up their skirts. Strapped around Dee's legs were knives and Gabby had one dagger and one gun.
"We were training for this day after all." Gabby snickered.
Their skirts fell back to their original places and they looked back at the boys faces. Devin and Kevin both had pink in their faces upon thinking something else, but Matthew only nodded in understanding.
Kevin and Devin coughed akwardly, "Right."
