Caitlin P.O.V
"Hey Cisco, " I said as I walked into the cortex.
"Hey Caitlin, " he said then a look of worry passed over his face, "Are you ok?"
I feel fine, "Yeah, I'm fine just a little tired." I said. That was a lie, I actually feel horrible; chills, muscle aches, nausea. But, I don't want him to worry.
"Ok you just look a little pale," he said.
"What's up with Cait?" Barry asked through the intercom.
I rolled my eyes, "I'm fine. Just focus on not getting killed please."
I could hear his skepticism through the intercom as he said ok and continued fighting.
Soon the daily meta human was locked up in iron heights. His name was Nightfall as per Cisco as he could control shadows.
"Hey Cait," Barry said walking into the room," Are you ok? You do look a little pale."
I rolled my eyes stubbornly, but just as he said that I suddenly became dizzy.
Barry caught me before I fell to the floor, "Hey, Cait are you ok?" He placed his hand on my forehead, "Cait, you're burning up!"
"I'm fine Barry..." I said, but as soon as I started walking I feel a wave of nausea and feel like I'm about to throw up. Barry walked over to me and gently put his arm around my shoulder. Together, me clutching onto his arm we slowly walked over to the med bay and I lied down.
"Barry! I'm the doctor I'm supposed to be taking care of you! You're not supposed to be taking care of me!" I said with a playful smile.
"Well now it's my turn, " he said as he booped me on the nose.
Just then Cisco walked in, "I knew you looked sick!" he exclaimed. "I will leave now as watch this Snowbarry adorableness from the security camera."
Barry chuckled as he walked over to me with a thermometer. "Open up," he said. I pouted but complied, mostly because I was too tired to fight him on this... and because he's adorable.
He waited for a minute before taking the thermometer out of my mouth. He looked so concentrated, his tongue sticking out of the side of his mouth. When he looked at the thermometer he looked shocked.
"Cait you have a fever of 102.4!" He exclaimed, "Huh, maybe we can get Killer Frost to come out and cool you down."
"No, she doesn't like to come out when I have a fever. It's too warm for her. Plus, the fever is one of the body's ways to better fight off virus and infections." I explained, "Killer Frost also hasn't really been active recently..."
This worried me. I tried to ask why once but she just said she needed to protect something. It's probably just one of her mood swings.
I looked into Barry's eyes as he tucked me in.
"You get some rest now. Don't worry I will be just fine taking care of the city. Plus, Electric hasn't even caused much trouble lately." He said as he kissed me on the head. He started to walk away, but I didn't feel like being alone.
"Stay with me?" I asked.
He walked over to the chair next to my bed and held me hand until I fell asleep.
