Caitlin P.O.V
"Okay, Barry! Welcome home!" I said, waving jazz hands in the air as I led Barry into our apartment.
"I'm so glad to be back home." He said, "I can't believe you made me stay in bed for three days!" He pouted playfully.
I lightly tapped him on the nose and wrapped my hands around his waist, "I was just worried about you." I explained, "That's what girlfriends are supposed to do, worry when their amazing adorable boyfriend is hurt." We were so close I could feel his breath on my lips and could see a slight stubble on his chin.
"Well I don't think I'm completely healed yet, " he said smirking. That made me worried. "What, where does it hurt?"
He smirked, " Well, it hurts a little here, " he pointed to his forehead, "Can you kiss it better for me?"
I smiled and decided to play his adorable game, so I went up on my tiptoes and kissed his head.
"Where else does it hurt?" I asked. He pointed to his ear, nose, cheek, and chin. I compliantly kissed him lightly on the ear. Then the nose. Then the cheek. And then his chin. "All better?" I asked. He shook his head and pointed to his lips. So I leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on his lips.
"All better?" I asked.
He grinned, "My lips still hurt. Maybe you could kiss them a little more?"
This time the kiss was more passionate and hungry. His lips are so soft. I let all of my problems slip away and let myself get lost in his kisses. As long as I was with him everything was perfect.
Barry P.O.V
I woke up the next morning to see Caitlin sleeping soundly at my side. I smiled remembering last night. I gave her a quick kiss on the head and climbed out of bed t go make breakfast.
I was speeding around the kitchen making pancakes, sausages, and freshly squeezed orange juice when I heard light footsteps come into the kitchen. I turned around to see Caitlin, as beautiful as ever, yawning groggily in my t-shirt.
"Good morning beautiful, " I said as I turned back around to continue making pancakes. She pattered across the kitchen and stood next to me watching me make pancakes.
"You didn't have to make breakfast, " she said.
I flipped the last pancake and turned around to put my hands on her waist.
"Oh, but I wanted to, " I pecked her on the lips, "I would do anything for my true love to be happy."
She smiled and went to sit down.
"Are you happy to be home?" She asked.
"Oh yes!" I replied giddily, "Last night was amazing."
She blushed and looked down at my shirt.
"I'm wearing your shirt." she stated.
"Yes, " I put pancakes and sausages on her plate. "And it looks good on you."
She smiled and we both started to eat, staring at each other the whole time. Once we finished eating I got up and put our plates in the sink. "Do you want to help me with the dishes?" I asked. She groaned playfully but still walked over to me. "Sure."
We finished the dishes and then got ready for work. And I knew as I saw her smile at me when I picked her up to run to work, that I wanted her to be my wife.
