The best way to describe Steve would be as a human disaster. Clumsy, reckless and oftentimes a bit clueless, Steve is an absolute mess half of the time. Whilst also lively, unapologetically individualistic, and beautifully kind, Steve is more widely known as  the guy who crashes into lockers, stumbles into tables and runs into others without meaning to. The only times Steve seems to be coordinated, is when he's playing football or in a fist fight defending someone's honor.

Steve has a gentle soul and a softness to him that the other jocks tend to lack. He's a mostly smiley, energetic, and is known for his permanently enthusiastic. He is dramatic and enjoys finding comedy in the mundane. Steve is often seen as the outcast of the football team, as he is unafraid to take a gentler approach to masculinity and embrace his feminine traits.

Blindly optimistic, Steve harbors a world few that aligns with his morals. When someone tries to mess with that view, Steve tends to lash out. Steve hates bullies of any kind and since he couldn't give less of a f*ck about his so-called reputation, he stands up for the little guy whenever he can. Steve is brutal in fights and often has bruised knuckles.

Steve is in the constant pursuit of his soulmate. He is truly hopelessly romantic and constantly going dates in search of his one true love. He is always the perfect gentleman, but rarely goes on more than one date and is constantly disappointed in himself and love afterwards. It doesn't help that he's awkward.

Whilst sometimes clueless, Steve isn't stupid. On the contrary, Steve is actually fairly intelligent and mechanically inclined. He enjoys school in both social and academic aspects. Although, he is much more of a practical learner and sometimes struggling to study on his own.

Steve is constantly in potentially embarrassing situations, so he's learned to be confident in who he is as the alternative of being constantly mortified was less preferable. Steve is a generally happy teen just trying to lead a life with a few less accidental bruises.

•Backstory•
Steven Harlo was born on the 2nd of July to Amy and James Harlo. Steve's father was the owner of a wildly successful hotel chain (Harlo Hotels) and his mother was a nurse. He was their only child as Amy passed away when Steve was only two years old. Steve doesn't remember her at all really.

Steve was five when James remarried a waitress named Nadia. Nadia was fifteen years younger than James and studying to become a teacher, but their love was pure and Nadia loved little Steve as her own. It wasn't long before Nadia became "mama" and started homeschooling Steve after she finished her degree.

Steve had a fulfilling childhood and although he only had one friend (Lila Lockwood), he was happy. His parents didn't mind when he painted his nails or did more feminine things with Lila. He was allowed to be himself, rambunctiously and joyfully.

Lila and Steve were thirteen and twelve repetitively when their parents disappeared. The disappearance of the Lockwoods and the Harlo's was shrouded in mystery, and became a highly publicized case. Investigators ran out of relevant leads only a few months into the case. The two children's parents case went unsolved and they both came into the custody of Kaitlyn Grant.

Kaitlyn Grant was a friend of both the Lockwoods and the Harlo's and was a eccentric, middle-aged bachelorette who was Indigo Lockwood's law firm partner (Lockwood & Co.). While both Steve and Lila missed their parents dearly, they found themselves enjoying both each other and Kaitlyn's company.

Lila and Steve are now as close as siblings and are often assumed to be sister and brother. They still live comfortably, only now in Kaitlyn's wealth rather than their parents. Both teens were put into public school soon after Kaitlyn became their guardian, and have thus far been successful in their respective high-school careers.
