If one were to ask any of those acquainted with Juniper, undoubtedly they would express that her countenance was one that could hold no falsehood. Emotion etched itself into her features, withholding her from deceit. When joy bubbled within, so did it outwardly. Her face would become a beacon of happiness, full cheeks, an uncontainable smile and earnest, umber eyes. With despair, those same large eyes would mist and cloud, her composure a compliment to utter devastation. Anger brought flames to her eyes and cheeks, rage burning red. Embarrassment similarly brought scarlet from cheek to ear.

Perhaps the feature most betraying to her utter transparency would be Juniper's eyebrows. When she spoke, her brow spoke along, lifting and furrowing with every expressive annunciation. Even in silence her eyebrows communicated, leaving her helpless to the truth of her composure. Thick, dark and untamed, Juniper was identified by her brows.

Beyond her utmost expressiveness, friends would second be quick to remark upon Juniper's beauty. Her face was near perfect in symmetry, save the single mole just to left on her chin. The structure of her profile was in nature strong and striking, her bones carved angularly and framing her central features. Those she encounters of whom childhood had not abandoned often believed her to be a fairy or nymph, credited not only to her loveliness, but also to her elemental magic.

Another remark often made, was Juniper's likeness to her father. Like Juniper, he too possesses strong brows, dark hair, a narrow nose and plush lips. Juniper's grandmother reflects upon these similarities with a distaste towards the mother of her only grandchild and a grateful that Juniper bear no similarities the woman. Traces of said mother are few and far between in the makeup of Juniper's appearance. She truly and without question is her father's spawn.

Juniper is the outward embodiment of her inward soul. Her deep affection for the outdoors can be found in the freckles dotting her nose and shoulders, as well as her olive and tawny, tanned skin. Her wild playfulness finds characterization in her hair, long and thick and waved. Her buzzing and bursting energy finds expression in her tall and compact stature, a build made for running and adventure. Her scars and permanently purpled legs tell the tale of her foolish bravery and recklessness. And her hands are the narrators of her element power.

As a witch of terra, or so the people of her town called her and her family, Juniper has the arcane ability over the earth and it's flora. She was, as some elementals were, marked by her magic. Woven around her hands and forearms, vine-like imprints reached towards the tips of her fingers. These imprints were like birthmarks, light in colour and a stark contrast to her complexion. When her magic is in use, her marks seemed to come alive with movement, weaving higher up her arms, and dancing upon her skin. These markings are only obstructed by two long, thin scars on each of her palms.

Regarding her attire, her usual garb consists of a flowing, cream chemise, a overdress with bellowing, slashed sleeves and kirtle that laces up the front, in either blue or green. Around her waist a leather belt is fastened with pouches attached to carry herbs and other plant life Juniper collects on behalf of her grandmother. From her neck hangs an bronze amulet gifted to her by her father with a Juniper tree welded into it. Her hair regularly remains loose with stray braids running throughout, and occasionally she ties a patterned piece of cloth around her head to keep the hair from falling in her face when working.

Another facet of Juniper's wardrobe, is the clothes worn when she is disguised as her bandit alter ego. As Misty, she wears a white tunic, brown breeches, leather and weathered boots, laced gloves, a face covering and a hooded cape. This particular apparel comes accompanied with a broadsword and her hair braided back. Her father's amulet remains around her neck, only now it is hidden beneath her tunic.

•Backstory•
Eren Irmak was a disgrace to society in than a single manner. From birth, he was a disgraced being in the eyes of proper society. Born to two elementally gifted individuals, Eren too was endowed with such a supernatural gift. Yet a another measure of his disgrace was that, when Eren had moved to the town of Mirstone at the age of twenty, he was the sole benefactor of a young daughter born out of wedlock.

Juniper has never known her mother, not in any measure of the word 'know'. She has never seen the woman's face, nor corresponded with her mother through written word, never mind spoken. Juniper does not know her mother's name, nor from where she hails or any minute detail regarding any of her mother's aspects. Juniper has only ever known her father, the town of Mirstone in the Kingdom of Idrisid and after the age of seven, her grandmother.

From their arrival, the people of Mirstone held little favor for the Irmak family. Young Eren and baby Juniper were left to their own devices in their little two-bedroom cottage at the edge of town. Parents withheld their children from Juniper, but the lack of playmates had but a small impact on the happiness of her childhood. Juniper grew up of a joyful and playful little thing under the influence of her gentle, loving father.

Eren sought out a license for his abilities when he was twenty-three and Juniper was four. He began his farming and gardening consulting business when he was twenty-five. It seemed being an elemental was only sanctioned when one worked to benefit those who weren't as gifted as the Irmak's. Eren's undertaking was met with skepticism which over time became moderate successes with which he was able to support his child.

At age seven, Eren realized that his little Imp would never receive proper education from anyone qualified and permitted to do so. Elementals weren't afforded luxuries such as an education. Eren thus employed his only laborer, a seventeen-year old boy named Peter York, to tutor his daughter whilst Eren undertook the brunt of the work from his enterprise. Peter, though much older and of a far higher social standing, became Juniper's very first non-familial companion.

Yet still at seven, Juniper became acquainted with her paternal grandmother, Ekin Irmak. Juniper had been too young at the time to comprehend her father's tears or shouting, but when Ekin had finally been forgiven and allowed to stay, Juniper was all too happy to expand her small circle of friends. Unbeknownst to Juniper at that time, had been the recent death of her terrible, gambling grandfather who had expelled Eren from the Irmak family home for having a bastard child with an ill-respected woman.

Juniper grew and learned alongside her three companions. This circle was small in size, but large in spirit and affection and Juniper was never lacking in care. Isolated from children of her own age, Juniper became a innovative and creative child. Her play was her own, and she grew to adore the world she lived in. At eleven she experienced her first true injustice when an insolent, inequitable man decided to verbally assault her little family of elementals (this excluded Peter). At eleven, Juniper decided she quite preferred her world and would fight to keep and expand it.

Her tutoring with Peter ended once Juniper turned fifteen and Peter was called upon to wed and manage his departed father's small estate. The Irmak's were invited to the affair, as Peter had a great deal of care for Juniper and a great deal of respect for Eren. Peter's family and fiancé met the Juniper's kin with joy and kindness, a kindness not displayed by the rest of the wedding guests. Juniper regarded those who disrespected her with a similar level of distain and was chastised by her grandmother thereafter. Juniper was delighted to learn that following the proceedings, she had not been the only one scolded. Peter's new wife, Freya, had taken it upon herself to defend the Irmak honor against her own family. It was thus that the entire York brood joined Juniper's band of friends.

Following Peter and Freya's marriage, Juniper took on an apprenticeship beneath her grandmother who was a licensed arcane healer, or a witch as many heckled. Juniper and her grandmother worked well together with personality not all that dissimilar. Both as stubborn and hard-working as the other, Juniper was rarely seen without her grandmother nearby, despite their occasionally bickering.

Their most common squabble was over Juniper's frequent attempted use of her magic, despite not being licensed. Elemental children were not permitted to make use of their abilities under any circumstances, a law which Juniper met with exceeding reluctance. Juniper was as an adolescent unable to comprehend her grandmother's warnings and her father's concern, and as such, often used her abilities despite.

Juniper was seventeen when, at last, she understood. Late one night, when the moon was shrouded by clouds and Juniper had snuck away from home ensuing a conflict with her grandmother, Juniper was assaulted by two men of the king's guard. Caught wielding her magic distractedly on a wilting bush, the watchmen restrained her and slashed her palms with a dagger. She stumbled home with a tear stricken face and fell in her father lap with profuse apologizes at her lips. Years later, she still bares the physical and psychological scars.

It was shortly following her assault, a month or so before her eighteenth birthday, that she first picked up the mantle of Misty, a bandit revolutionary against the restrictions placed upon elementals. As Juniper, she never again used her abilities. However, as Misty she was confined to no such limitations.

She joined a cloak-and-dagger ring of bandits not unlike herself who gathered and communed in a covert tavern entitled The Rogue's Rift. The tavern's owner, Tyra, endeared herself to the teenage girl who entered ill-disguised and unskilled, but enthusiastic and determined, and resolved to teach Misty the ways of the sword. Tyra was the first of Misty's allies.

Years later, as a twenty-year-old woman, Juniper still lives with her father and grandmother, working and caring for her grandmother who'd become out of sorts in recent years. In the overcast of night, however, Misty lurks and reigns, now with great renown.

•Personality•
Just the same as her father before her and his mother before him, Juniper is strong-willed. Unlike her father, her stubbornness is less so a passive thing and more so a fiery, fierce mulishness. She is unyielding in all things, an unmovable force of morality. Her heart is pure in intent, but her head is often impenetrable to reason. Some may describe her as brutish from a distance, but those acquainted with her know of her unfailing devotedness to the right thing though her methods may lean towards aggression.

In a yet greater similarity to her father, her kindness is also a thing of note. Juniper may be lacking in tenderness, but her charitableness is in abundance. Again with regard to her morality, Juniper does not experience such a thing as hesitation when it comes to offering aid. Small kind acts are the driving force behind her everyday, a irresistible compulsion to her with such a golden heart. If she were a man, she might have been called noble, as a woman people whisper of what a shame it is that her goodness is without gentleness.

Juniper also suffers from unavoidable honesty and an inability to lie. The technically that she has never lied about her whereabouts to her family, but simply omitted the truth is what allows her to keep the guilt over her alias at bay. Juniper's truthfulness is woven into every aspect of her being, from her spoken word to her facial features to that niggling voice at the back of her head called an overwhelming sense of guilt. Guiltiness is perhaps the greatest downfall to her confidence, as Juniper never fails in finding a way to blame herself for any and every misfortune.

Furthermore, Juniper's honesty has also led to a pair of loose lips and a type vulgarity frowned upon by those of high society. Juniper is awkward and socially inept at times with an inability to keep her thoughts to herself. Her tongue has no restraint, and witty as it may be, it's remarks often go unappreciated. She has an affinity to swearing and blurting anything that comes to mind when it comes to mind, especially in moments of nervousness. Her sarcasm has no end and is the source of an abundance of embarrassment, which is another emotion Juniper finds difficult to restrict.

Playful and mischievous at times, Juniper's father coined her with the exasperated nickname little Imp. She seems to attract trouble even when she isn't looking for it and when left unattended, will inevitably find herself in the oddest of situations. From clashes over principle, to stray animals and children needing saving, to elderly women with various issues relating to roads and groceries, Juniper's involvement or aid is near guaranteed.

Juniper's recklessness may be easily be mistaken for stupidity, but such a conclusion would prove entirely inaccurate. Juniper is innovative, tactical and practical. Hardship has bred creativity and an ingenuity that those with only a surface level perception of Juniper would neglect to realize. She is hard working and perceptive, if a little rash.

Juniper finds herself a brave and good natured young woman, though willful and brash. She finds purpose in her passion for liberty, and is undeniably a warrior in spirit. She's doubtlessly good, even if her expression thereof may overwhelm. Juniper is in all things dedicated, dauntless and dependable.
