Chapter 4: All Seeing Eye

(Unedited)

Being caught off guard on how an old fragile human such as Chiharu, knew of him - much less that he was the last of the Primes, certainly put him on edge. But he hid it well from her side eye as she drove down the road and through the streets of the city.

"How exactly is it, that you know if my name?" Optimus chose to ask, rather than address the fact that a human knew he was the last Prime.

"Well, that would have to be all my grandaughters doing, dear," Chiharu smoothly answers, not at all bothered by the information coming out of her mouth. "It was her quirk that helped you be released and excused from being charged with such a petty crime." Those words immediately caught Optimus's attention - having been observing the outside world a second before.

"What crime have I committed to be considered a criminal in their standards?" He had immediately asked not a second later - wanting to know of any wrong doings he may have done.

"The way I see it, nothing. You saved my life, and my dear little shop," Optimus grew confused by her words and was about to ask her to eleborate on them, but stopped short as she continued with bittered words. "But for them, you didn't save no one. To them, you used your quirk in public without any sort of hero license - which they see as a vigilante-sort of move, which none of them like very much."

Optimus stayed silent in thought, wondering how it would be possible for these humans to defend themselves against someone else who used their own power to cause destruction among the public, and how it was against the rules to use your own resources to help one another. Although his thoughts were cut short a few moments later by the Chiharu speaking up once more.

"Well," The lady began in a lighter, softer tone. "Me and my grandaughter begged to differ. We're very greatful to you and are in your debt, Optimus Prime."

Once arriving at their apparent destination, Optimus slowly exited the vehicle and surveyed his surroundings, immediately noting the tall rectangular building in front of him and the many parked cars around them.

"Come, Optimus," Chiharu called with a small wave of her hand. "This way now, my granddaughter is waiting for us at this very moment!~"

Not wanting to ask anything else until they were somewhere secluded, Optimus simply followed the lady up 4 flights of stairs in the building before walking past many doors as he overlooked the open balcony to his right.

"My gandbaby always chided me into walking stairs but can never do so herself, sigh," The grandmother seemed to pout, taking her tiny steps one at a time. "And it wasn't even that hard for me- let alone it'll put any sort of burden on her,"

Optimus will admit, he was impressed that her 3ft self was able to effortlessly walk up 4 flights of stairs with her sunny yellow dress in perfect condition. Remembering all the research he had done back on his Earth about humans with Ratchet, wanting to be careful after deciding to let the children stay under their care, he took it upon himself to look up the rest of the human population as well - having been curious about their species as a whole. Ratchets first protest on even having the human children to be anywhere near them due to the apparent fear of them going, 'squish', under his peds, quickly passed on that apparent same concern to Optimus (who began to be extra sensitive to where he walked to and where he placed his peds). Often times he would dot on the children from a distance to know of their whereabouts before he even dared to take a step - forever fearful of ending one of their delicate lives. But despite having such delicate lives, they were some of the bravest humans he grew to know and respect, along side his other autobots.

...

He felt a pang in his human heart upon thinking of his past life. Although he showed nothing on his face as he continued to follow the old grandmother to the second to last green door on the floor.

"Ah, here we are. Now dear, could you open the door for me?-" Optimus was only able to take one step before pausing upon hearing the lady's next words. "-I know your there!~"

The green door in front of them was quick to open, revealing a ravenette haired female to both him and Chiharu.

"I'm home dear, with some company!~"

The girl, slightly hidden behind the door blankly stared at Optimus, before opening the door wider for them to enter. "Welcome home," She greeted back with a monotone, yet soft voice. She then left the door and walked deeper into the apartment.

"That was my grandaughter, please don't mind her manners, she's a bit on the quiet side~" Chiharu cooed before wistfully entering, Optimus following close behind. She began to take off her yellow shoes before sliding her feet into some slippers, and in seeing so, Optimus immediately felt compelled to remove his shoes as well. In doing so, he noticed Chiharu standing above the small step, a patient smile on her lips as she waits for him. Once his black shoes were off, he glanced to the corners before seeing some dark blue blue ones to the right of him.

Although, what caught his attention wasn't the slippers itself, but the small slip of paper on top of it, with 'Prime' written on it with blue ink.

Slightly put on edge, Optimus hesitantly puts on the fuzzy blue slip on's as Chiharu giggles quietly in the back.

Once finished, Chiharu turned around and began walking to another door, opening it to reveal a living room with Optimus not far behind her. She led him past the dainty living room and towards their kitchen where Chiharu's granddaughter seemed to be cooking something.

"Now, I'll just leave you two to talk things out and clear up some confusion. Have fun now!~" And without waiting for any sort of response, Chiharu left the two alone in the small kitchen.

Optimus stared at the girls back in silence, his gaze becoming more calculating by the second as to figure out who she is. With her black long sleeves shirt and blue pants, she easily passes as any other random human, with her character not seeming to be one to stand out to the public.

"Please, take a seat. I will be done with your meal in about 15 seconds," The girl softly spoke whilst having her back towards him. "I know you are unfamiliar with human customs, but it isn't appropriate to simply stand a ways behind someone and stare. It may come off as something uncomfortable towards the receiver,"

Optimus blinked at the girls word before quickly deciding to heed her words - least he want to make a human uncomfortable or nervous around him, especially since she was going to provide him all the answers he needed. He pulled out one of the sand colored chairs of the table and went in front of it, taking a seat on its soft cushions when not a second later did a warm plate of human food be placed in front of him (along with a glass of water).

"This is udon, a fairly common dish here in Japan," The girl explained in her gentle, monotonous voice. "Please, eat. I know it has not even been a full Earth day and you are only still getting used to your body, but before anything happens I'll let you know that, that body of your needs nutrients if it's going to survive and live another day." She then pulled out the chair across from Optimus and quietly sat down, crossing her hands in her lap as she leaned back against the chair - but not before setting her own pair of chopsticks in front of her (although with no bowl of her own in sight) and a cup of tea for herself.

Optimus looks at the 'udon' the human made and observed it for a moment, wondering about its ingredients - but most importantly....

How does he consume it???

As a cybertronion, you don't 'eat' energon, you consume it. You have to have the energon in its liquefied form and it's consumed by being poured into the mouth. And while there is liquid in the bowl in front of Optimus...there are other chunks of food that may pose complications in ingestion. So what is he to do???

"Optimus, use this- they're called chop sticks and are used to pick up the noodles and the other pieces of food in the bowl. Here," The girl softly explained, seeing as he looked stuck on what exactly to do. "I'll show you how to use them. Hopefully you learn quickly." And with that, she grabbed her own set of chopsticks and began to show him how to properly use them.

"Now remember, when you eat, it's also rude to chew out loud or with your mouth open. And remember to chew and swallow, Optimus. I don't want you going into a coughing fit again," The girl explained as she sweat dropped and leaned back in her seat.

It was amazing, really, how Optimus was able to so calmly learn from a strange, monotone girl who practically knew a lot more about the situation than he did. More so, some might even find it amusing to read about someone teaching Optimus how to eat - I know you do reader~

"Ah, I forgot to introduce myself - I got very distracted, didn't I?" The girl brushed some of her ravenette locks back and over her shoulders, maintaining direct eye contact with Optimus. "My name is Ayano, Ayano Sato. It's nice to finally meet you, Optimus Prime."

"How is it exactly that you know of me?" Optimus couldn't help but immediately ask.

"It is because of my quirk, right here," And with that, she raised her two hands and creased what seemed like a black lines underneath both her brown eyes - following the form of her bottom lid. "My quirk allows me to see what happens next in any event; whether it be time itself, or a moment of chance, I'll know. I also receive any sort of information I wish to have - past, present, and some future."

"And is your quirk responsible to your knowledge on me and my situation?" Optimus inquired, seeing this as a moment of truth to answer most of his confusions.

"Yes, that's right." Ayano confirmed, gently lifting up the small black gem she wore around her neck and fiddle with it - hardly seeming to pay much attention anymore. "Because of my quirk, I had the perfect plan set out ever since you woke up in that park on the grass. I knew you would protect my grandmother, and I knew you would get arrested by the police for your use of power in public - despite it being for a rational reason. So I had my grandmother act out to be your own grandmother picking you up from the station and have you be released under the guise of you having short term memory loss. I also had obaasan fight the charge with the fact that your quirk usage was in self defense - so with those two facts, I knew that would be enough to drop any and all charges on you. I was lucky that my grandmother was able to get to you in time before they could dig at your identity any further."

Ayano paused and took a sip of her cooled down tea, letting her words and all that released information sink into Optimus.

"Knowing exactly who I am and my history, why did you chose to help me regardless?" Optimus questioned her - curious as to why the girl would willingly put herself and her grandmother in any harms way to help him.

Lowering her head Ayano closed her eyes and breathed out a sigh, lifting her tea right underneath her nose to breath in its scent.

"Optimus, I helped you only for two reasons, and two alone. The first being that I am in your dept for saving my grandmothers life, for she is all I have," With that said, she bowed a little lower at him before sitting straight up again and lowering her tea. "The second being..."

Optimus knew that the quirks in this world would alter peoples appearances (as he's already seen many), maybe change a part of them for a time being, or emit something from their bodies. But what he didn't expect, were for the two black lines under Ayano's eyes to snap open and have two blue irises stare right back at him.

"Because my quirk, All Seeing Eye, isn't able to tell me exactly who you were before you woke up on that grassy hill."

Two updates?? In a matter of hours??

I'm even surprising myself over here.

I'm trying to base my word limit on about 2000-ish words per chapter so that I can keep a consistency with my writing so I don't tire easily. So sorry in advance if it seems like the story's not moving as quickly - and in addition to that, it seems like this is going to be a slow burn as well.

Now, excuse me while I go over to my other crossover book, Attack on Soundwave and kick the butt out of whoever is convincing my readers that I've discontinued that book~
