9. treat
THIRD POV
"Stop cheating, you lowlife," Osamu scowled at Atsumu who was leaned over to the machine. The omelette head was repeatedly dropping the ball to the highest score, careful not to get caught by a staff.
He raised a brow, "Who ya callin' lowlife? We were made by the same blood," Atsumu rolled his eyes and continued to score.
"You fucke–," Osamu was about to grab him but Y/n tugged on his sleeve.
He blinked, "Yes?"
She frowned, "I lost Suna."
Osamu's eyes widened as they left Ataumu. They slightly ran around to look for the dark brunette. Y/n was slightly panting—feeling exhausted as Osamu held her hand tightly and searched for Suna.
"S-Slow down..," Y/n groaned softly.
Osamu stopped, "Oh."
Y/n's heart was thumping loud as she put her hands on her hips to breathe properly. Osamu awkwardly stood infront of her—he wasn't fazed by the long search at all.
Never underestimate an athlete, I guess. Y/n frowned mentally.
"L/n, are you okay?" He asked as he saw her slightly red cheeks.
She raised a brow before silently sighing. Osamu frowned as she began walking again. He cleared his throat as he walked by her side, "What's up?"
The girl shook her head to tell him that nothing's wrong. He just hesitantly nodded before roaming his eyes around again. The silver head stopped when he felt his phone ringing—his twin was calling.
"Wait, I'll just see what's up with him. Do not stray far from me, alright?" He reminded Y/n as if she was his child. She nodded and patiently stood by his side. When he answered the phone, someone silently but hastily pulled Y/n away from him.
Osamu looked at his phone weirdly when Atsumu immediately hung up when he just pressed answer. He noticed the lack of presence beside him, his eyes widened.
Fuuuuck.
Panic filled him as he frantically looked around to search for Y/n. One second she's there, and the next she isn't. The silver head slightly stumbled to move from places to places as his brows furrowed. When he turned to a corner—he bumped into someone.
"Osamu? Where the hell did you guys go? I lost L/n when I turned away for a second," Suna frowned.
Osamu looked at him with panic, "I also lost L/n. I don't know where 'Tsumu is and I kinda don't care. But L/n—I don't know where she went! I told her to not stray from me," He bit his bottom lip and lightly tugged his hair with both hands.
"Okay, calm down. I'll just call him and ask where he is. And at the same time—we go search for L/n. She always put her phone on silent so I can't really call her," Suna's heart almost dropped. Osamu nodded and followed Suna who had his phone by his ear while roaming his eyes around.
Shit. This ain't good. Suna mentally panicked.

"You're doing great. Don't panic and just follow the pattern."
Y/n was struggling to follow the fast patterns with her short legs while Atsumu easily followed it thanks for his long ones. He had a focused look and his speed is more than enough to step on the said patterns with perfect timing.
The blonde had picked a difficult song for them, it had a fast rhythm and unpredictable beat. The girl wanted to refuse his challenge but of course he didn't take no as an answer. He didn't even wait for her to answer.
Atsumu grinned as he side eyed Y/n who was missing most patterns. Her up arrows became down, and her left arrows became right. It would be an understatement to say that Atsumu was entertained by her constant suffering.
The game finally ended. Y/n's score was 84 whilst Atsumu had 100. She used the wall as support and breathed properly. Atsumu laughed at her state, not a single bead of sweat present.
"What's wrong? You did amazing L/n!" He grinned at her while leaning on the wall.
She narrowed her eyes at him, "What's wrong? I'll tell you what's wrong,"She huffed and crossed her arms, craning her neck up to look at Atsumu who had a naughty smile.
"You plotted a kidnap behind your brother—kidnapping me. And you made me play that exhausting game which made me lose a lot of sugar," She muttered and frowned.
Atsumu ruffled her hair, "Hey, hey. I didn't kidnap you, I just borrowed you from him. If you lost sugar—it's no problem. I can easily buy you sweets right now," He grinned cheekily.
She swatted his hand away, "I'm pretty sure you didn't borrow me—I'm nothing to borrow in the first place. I'm not an object, Miya."
His smile dropped, "Oh, sorry."
Guilt suddenly flowed inside of her, "...But I'm looking forward to the sweets?" She hesitantly added.
A new smile brightened up on his face, "I knew you won't refuse. Come on, I know a good store."
He gently held her hand as they exited the arcade where his twin and friend is still at. The thought of them panicking at their lost presence didn't even cross the blonde's mind. But it wasn't that big of a deal, Atsumu believes. He was just grabbing time to spend with Y/n.
Out of all the girls Atsumu had encountered with, no one was entertaining for him. But Y/n was a different situation—she was the first person that didn't annoy him. Sure their first meeting was a little harsh—but now he got to see how she truly acts.
She was the only one who didn't try a single move to fool Atsumu. The ones that did, made him believe they weren't as annoying and clingy. Only for him to eventually find out that they were just using him for attention and popularity.
It pissed him off and it made him extremely crestfallen. The remorse he felt after that was drastic, he gained trust issues with girls ever since then. All he ever wanted was a close girl companion, not some irksome pigs that keep wasting his time (his words).
"Here, try this."
Y/n froze as she saw the sweets Atsumu was holding. Blurry memories engulfed her mind. The blonde tilted his head to the side as he looked at the frozen girl in confusion.
"What's that...?" She pointed at the candy while innocently looking up at Atsumu.
He stood still before his brows shot up, "You can't be serious right now."
Her brows furrowed as she looked at him with curious eyes. She eyed the candy with tilted head.
"These are cotton candies. It's sugar but mixed with air? I don't really know. But it tastes really amazing. Here, try it," He handed her one of the cones.
She stared at it like the first person who just discovered fire.
Atsumu frowned before leaning down to her eye level. He grinned, "You eat it like this."
His eyes never left hers as he took a portion of the cotton candy and let it melt in his mouth. Atsumu slightly licked his lips before taking another one.
Y/n's eyes sparkled with fascination. She slowly did what Atsumu showed her.
Her eyes widened when she felt the candy immediately flatten into sugar bits inside her mouth. She had a small smile when she met Atsumu's eyes. But he was slightly frowning.
"Don't tell me it's your first time eating cotton candy?" He softly asked as he stood up straight, melting some cotton candy in his mouth.
'You're not allowed to eat that.'
"It is," She quietly said before taking another portion with her lips.
Atsumu was hesitant, "Do you mind if I asked why?"
She stopped and stared at the candy with sadness. Tears glistened in her eyes but she pushed them aside. Y/n looked away, "My uncle told me I wasn't allowed to eat it. Because he said I'm not worth eating sweets. He would..-"
No, I can't tell him what happened when I disobeyed my uncle.
"He would..?" He silently asked.
She pursed her lips, "Nothing. I forgot what I was going to say."
He was unconvinced but nodded, letting the subject drop. A smile made its way to his face to help brighten the situation, "Hey, atleast now you got to eat it, right? Just enjoy eating it with me."
She nodded as they walked over to a vacant bench. Atsumu grinned as he watched her happily eating the candy.
"You're cute when you eat it like that," He blurted out.
She stopped and turned to him with a confused expression, "I do?" She quietly asked.
His eyes widened, "Uh yeah. Sorry if it offended you in any way."
"It's okay. Thank you," She silently said.
"Here, try my flavour," He said and handed her the cone that was supporting the cotton candy.
"Are you sure?" She hesitantly looked at his blue colored one.
"Yeah, I insist. By the way—do you mind if I try yours as well? 'Samu never tells me what it tastes like," He frowned.
Y/n shook her head and handed him hed candy. He hummed as he tasted the candy, it tasted like strawberry. The girl tried his candy as her eyes sparkled.
Atsumu laughed, "Tastes like bubblegum, right?"
She looked at him in confusion.
He whined, "Don't tell me you haven't tried bubblegum yet?"
Her silence confirmed Atsumu's question.
"Damn," He sighed, "I seriously need to treat you with sweets more often."
Her eyes shone brightly as she gave him a thumbs up. He laughed and softly pinched her cheek. She was taken aback, but didn't do anything to remove his hand away.
"Wait, let me try something," He said as he took a small portion of the strawberry and the bubblegum flavours.
Y/n was confused when he saw him hold the mixed candy up to her mouth. He smiled, "You try it first, then me."
She nodded and wasted no time in taking the mixed candy in her mouth. Her lips slightly grazed his finger which made him freeze a little. The girl hummed and nodded, gesturing him to also try it.
He did and his eyes widened, "Woah, it's a weird combination but it tastes unexpectedly well."
Y/n nodded and continued to eat the cotton candy that was once Atsumu's. The blonde did the same with hers, savoring the flavor that his twin failed to let him try. Both of them didn't mind that they switched flavours, a comfortable silence surrounded them except for the slightly busy crowd around.
All was well, until two pissed guys stood infront of them with arms crossed.
"You've done it, you fucker."
