2nd POV

[TIMESKIP: AFTER COLLEGE, COMPLETION]

"Excuse me!"

"Yikes-"

"Make wayyy!!"

"Oop-"

Atsumu stammered as he finally moved away from the busy hallways. He sighed when he saw how he was three minutes late after your final classes ended.

But then he brightened up since you usually take long to fix your stuff. That means..

"Atsu."

His platinum locks swayed when he whipped his head towards you. A radiant grin along with his lively eyes adorned his already gorgeous features.

"Y/n!" He chirped and scooped you in a warm hug.

Some of your classmates shot you teasing looks. Meanwhile Yuna was secretly recording, planning to send it to Sakusa.

"I missed you," Atsumu purred and placed small kisses on your neck.

You laughed, "Baby stop, there's people watching."

"Let them," He mumbled lowly and kept on pecking your lips.

"Oi!! Don't do this here!!" Some professor said while squinting his eyes on the both of you.

A giggle erupted from your throat, "See? We shouldn't do it here. There are people watching."

He hummed and let go.

"Well then, let's go to a more quiet place."

"Oi, hold it."

Yuna walked near the both of you and Atsumu tensed. You knew how scared he was by her.

It was hard to contain your laughter, so you just covered your mouth with a hand. The blonde's face slightly paled and he didn't dare blink when the pink orbed girl squinted at him.

"Take care of her, 'Tsum," Yuna crossed her arms.

He saluted with a nervous grin, "Y-Yes ma'am!"

The girl turned to you.

"Tell me if he did something disappointing again, okay?" She nodded at you and you nodded back.

"Now.."

You didn't have time to react when Atsumu pulled you somewhere. Yuna waved at you with a teasing smile before going her way to meet up with the clean freak.

"Just kidding. Hop on, I'm taking you to the candy shop near the Uni," He beamed and opened the passenger seat's door for you.

"I thought we're meeting with Osa? Classes just ended today," You frowned.

He waved it off, "That's later at 8 PM. Right now, 3 PM, I have you all on my own."

You hopped in and fastened your seat belt. Anxiety was kind of threatening to build from your stomach since you knew Atsumu just got his driver's license recently.

Both of you silently hoped the drive goes smoothly.

He huffed, "Good thing I have my phone and car now. We can almost make a family now~, I can take you wherever you want and provide you with anything and everything you want."

"Atsumu, you only have your phone and car. I don't get why you're so excited," You laughed.

The boy smiled, sending butterflies in your stomach.

"I'm getting close," He winked.

You hummed confusingly, "What do you mean?"

He laughed and started to drive away.

"Secret."

"How's business, by the way?"

You shrugged and kept eating your ice cream.

"The stocks are going to be shipped out next month I think, and I still haven't finished talking to the construction team for the building," A small sigh escaped your lips.

Atsumu smiled, "It's kind of creepy. You're still so young to get so good at business. I'm really proud of you."

Grabbing a tissue and wiping the small cream at the corner of his lips, you smirked.

"I got really good at managing dorks in my high school days. I guess you could say I had an advantage back then, stress in the future would be manageable."

Both of you laughed at the memories. It was really sweet, probably sweeter than the whole sweets in the shop both of you are in.

"What about you? How's your team?" You asked as you finished your ice cream cup.

He giggled, "They're really cool not gonna lie! And Omi-Omi kept ignoring me unless I toss to him."

You laughed at how he frowned.

"Hey, it's okay," A chuckle was let out, "He's not that bad. Just give him time."

"Right," He huffed and sighed, standing up since both of you are finished.

Atsumu suddenly grabbed your wrist and ran outside, gently but hurriedly ushering you to get inside the car.

"Uh, Atsu?-"

"Shh, we're gonna be late," He snickered and put both your seatbelts on.

You just confusedly did what he wanted.

He started driving, and the direction was far from your home or the restaurant where you and the others are supposed to meet at.

"Atsu?-"

"Shhh...," He whispered as he rested his hand on your thigh. His eyes remained on the road while his other hand is on the wheel, driving.

Soon enough the drive went to a halt. Though, it looked like you both stopped at an open field. There was almost nothing, just the warm wind and swaying grass.

"Atsu, where are we-?"

You looked everywhere, but you couldn't find him.

He disappeared.

Your heart beat started to go fast, anxiety was flooding your nerves.

"A-Atsu???"

The wind whistled softly and you began to feel cold.

You ran away from the car, frantically searching for him.

"Atsu!!" 

Your head whipped every direction but he was still not in sight.

Not until you heard a whistle from afar.

"Y/n!! Come here!!"

Eyes almost watery, you finally felt relief when you turned your gaze on a certain area. You saw him smiling with his eyes closed— arm and hand waving to tell you to come there. 

Almost tripping on your feet you managed to get down a small hill to him. When you reached his range you enveloped him in a tight hug, breath almost wavering.

"Woah, woah. What's wrong?" He whispered and caressed the back of your head. 

You let go and weakly hit his chest with your tiny fist, "What do you mean 'what's wrong?', Atsu?? I panicked when you suddenly left!!"

He laughed and kissed your forehead.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I thought you were behind me, following me when I suddenly got down because I was so excited you got lost in my thoughts. But anyway, we're here already, right?"

You just sighed, "I suppose. Wait... there's so many flowers here."

"Pretty, right?" Atsumu hummed as he turned you around to look at the flower field, ranging colors from blue, yellow, red, and a lot more. 

A soft smile coated your lips. You were too succumbed to the view that you didn't realize his hold on you was gone.

"Huh?" You blinked and turned around to him, "Atsu?–"

You froze.

He smiled as he got on one knee and pulled a small velvet box, "These past few years, you've made me really, really happy and contented with life. Opened my eyes to a lot of great things, helped me grow, helped and taught me how to love, and just— you've been there with me through a lot of stuff I was sure I couldn't manage on my own."

You were frozen, but your vision started to get blurry with tears.

"Y/n L/n. Please make me the happiest man on Earth— and be my wife."

He chuckled softly and gave you the softest smile, "Will you marry me?"

You didn't make a sound. Instead, you cupped both his cheeks and kissed him passionately.

He smiled in your kiss. Atsumu knew it was a yes. And you knew, too.

The sound of cheering and 'whoos' and 'congratulations' can be heard from not that far away. When you both pulled away from the kiss, Atsumu slipped the beautiful, expensive ring in your finger. Both of you smiled at the people who made the noise. There stood a lot of people from Inarizaki, few relatives, Yuna, MSBY, even Akaashi and Bokuto was there.

Everything.... was really worthwhile. 

And all of it was heartfelt.
