THIRD POV

"Y/n, where are ya?"

"I'm with the coaches. Go on ahead with the team, we'll follow shortly."

The girl sighed and hung up on Kita. This day was not for her.

She had to wear a specific outfit for some dinner with the rest of the team.

Yes, specific.

Itachiyama's manager requested the other's choice of clothes.

Y/n frowned and looked at herself in the mirror. From others' perspective it's surely not as bad, but she still felt insecure.

Whatever. It's not like I'll be attending some competition to win with the outfit I'm wearing right now.

Hesitantly, she clipped some bangs to the side but still let the others loose. Her other eye was now present.

She shuddered. Her view suddenly became wider in range.

Makeup was not really her thing but she wanted to look presentable. She applied a little bit of powder and blush with a light tint of red on the lips.

With a final sigh, she went out of her room with a sling bag that she made sure matches with her attire. Her parents were out as usual for a week so she didn't really bother to leave a note but a text instead.

She saw the car with the coaches in it. Y/n entered with a small nod and let them drive to the venue.

Dinner, then rest, training with Itachiyama from tomorrow Friday to Sunday with the boys in separate rooms, coaches on another, a room for two managers.

The girl looked out of the window as sceneries of sparkling lights, buildings, and houses zoomed by. She wondered what would happen if they arrived.

"Yo."

Sakusa walked over to her with both hand on the pocket of his hoodie, wearing a mask as usual. He pulled down his mask and frowned, "Why aren't you wearing your mask?"

"I didn't think it's necessary anymore," She gave him a small grin, "The therapies are paying off."

He pursed his lips and nodded, "Right."

Y/n tilted her head to the side, "What about you, Kiyo-nii? Don't you want to get therapy?"

"What? No," Sakusa shook his head and combed his hair with his fingers, "I'm not really treating my issue as an illness. I think it's just better to be more consistent in taking care of my hygiene and stuff."

The girl just hummed as both of them walked over to the entrance of the restaurant. He opened the door for her with a tissue topping the handle and then he followed suit.

"They're here already. Ah, thank you um... Sakusa, right? Thanks for guiding our manager— we didn't expect that old friends would come and chat. Sorry for separating you from your team," The coach nervously smiled at the jet who just expressed a blank face.

"Huh? Okay. It's not really a problem." He muttered, "I'll go on ahead to my team."

They nodded and fixed some papers with the receptionists before entering the beautiful venue. The coaches exchanged handshakes with the other coach in Itachiyama as the girl waited for them to finish.

"Siiighh, I really want to see Inarizaki's manager right now. I bet I look better than her though! Hahaha!"

A shrill, cheerful voice laughed along with a few members from the other team. Most of them looked annoyed and Sakusa looked like he could spray bleach to her face any moment now.

The bubblegum head giggled and batted her lashes at Sakusa, "Hey, Kiyoomi-kun. Do you think I'm better than their manager?" She whispered closely to his ear while eyeing Inarizaki who refrained themselves real hard not to talk back.

"No," He bluntly said and moved away from her.

Hurt flashed in her eyes as she pouted in embarrassment, the others laughing at her.

Komori sweatdropped and nervously smiled, "Um, Yumemi. Inarizaki's manager is Sakusa's cousin. Please try not to say things that can upset him."

"Cousin?" She raised a brow as she remembered someone, "Well, whatever."

Atsumu had enough and stood up to confront her, Osamu's eyes widened but he was too late.

"Ya bi—"

"We are here!" The coach grinned and entered the room with the manager.

Y/n asked the coach if they were already complete, not knowing that almost everyone's got their eyes on her.

Who could blame them? She looked heavenly.

"Yeah, the only ones who attended dinner were the regulars and some subs though. The others couldn't make it— but they said they were sure to attend tomorrow for the training."

"I see," She nodded and turned back to see Atsumu red.

She frowned, "Are you okay?—"

"Y/n," Kita walked to her.

The girl blinked when he rested his hand on her lower back, guiding her to the table with some boys.

Suna eyed her with a small smirk, "I didn't know you dress like that. It's cute."

"Y/n, yer eye colors are pretty," Osamu shyly said, staring deeply into her two different colored eyes. (a/n: one eye is colored as your natural ones, and one eye is colored as whatever color you like it to be)

The coaches awkwardly cleared their throats, "Um, well, have fun in that table. Itachiyama's coach and us will just talk business on the other table," He turned to her, "L/n, look after them. Ya too, Shinsuke."

Kita and Y/n nodded. On the other table, Itachiyama was confused at the sudden silence of their manager. Sakusa secretly smirked under his mask.

Atsumu gulped and whispered to Aran if he could change seats with him. His brows furrowed but he nodded nonetheless.

"Oi, what the heck," Osamu narrowed his eyes at Atsumu who cheekily sat down beside Y/n who was just in front of him.

Atsumu shrug, "What? I like my manager beside me."

"I'm here, Atsumu," Kita deadpanned by Y/n's left side. The blonde just looked away.

The girl just eyed the menu, listing down food and drinks that the members wanted.

"Hey."

She looked to the side, almost accidentally meeting lips with Atsumu. His eyes widened as he slightly leaned back, "Sorry.. um," He pointed to the list, "Can I please have tuna instead of salmon?"

"You don't like Salmon?" The girl mumbled and scratched out the salmon option.

He grinned, "I just love tuna more."

She smiled at him, making his heart do flips varying in depths. Osamu and Suna squinted their eyes at the blonde as they sipped tea.

"Yo, do you honestly think they'd look great together?" Osamu side whispered Suna.

Suna shrugged nonchalantly, "Who'd know? I for one don't like his idiotic face beside Y/n's pretty one."

".....," Osamu frowned and stared at Suna with a look of disbelief mixed with disappointment.

The dark brunette raised a brow at him, "What?"

"We're twins. We literally look the same," The silver head sighed in sadness as he looked away from him, "I thought we were genuine friends, Suna. I never expected this brutal betrayal from you."

Suna cringed, "Dude, what the hell. Okay then."

All was going well. The table was fun, Aran and Kita were chatting, Atsumu was playing games on his phone, Osamu and Suna were on their phones scrolling through whatever social media they're at, and Y/n was fixing schedules for their time while simultaneously studying some stuff before they go to nationals next week (they won at the finals in their last game).

They were representing Hyogo Prefecture and as the manager, she didn't want stuff to fall out of hand— and she preferred to not disappoint people that are rooting for them.

"Y/n~!"

Most of them got surprised when Itachiyama's manager stood near their table, smiling at their girl manager who wore the same shocked expression.

"Yumemite-san," She muttered and looked away.

She squealed and carefully pulled Y/n away from their table. Yumemi and her now sat at a different table that only had two seats, "Oh my! It has been ages since I last saw your cute face!"

"Please keep it down," Y/n looked down with a blush from embarrassment. She didn't expect her to hold the title as manager of Itachiyama where her cousin goes.

"Aww, you're still the same shy baby from Fukurodani! Hey, hey, tell me— are you and Bo-kkun dating already? Wait— or was it 'Kaashi-kun? Nonetheless— you'd look great with either of them!" The bubblegum head chirped.

Y/n was annoyed and embarrassed to no end, "Yumemite-san, please quiet down. It's not like you're far from me to speak in such high pitch."

"Hehe, sorry~! But yeah," She became serious but still with a smile, "Any interest~?"

The girl's heart jolted with strange sensation when the blonde's face appeared in her mind from nowhere.

"...Um, none..," She gulped, "I'm prioritizing my team. I've no time for dating."

Yumemi pointed her lips and swirled her iced tea with a straw, "But, like, enjoy youth love while you're at it~! It's not like it'll gravely affect the team and your academics. You're baaaarely unaffected even if you didn't review for next week's examinations."

"How does that connect? I don't really have enough care to understand," She frowned as her remark came off sarcastic to the older girl.

An irk popped from Yumemi's forehead but she remained a shaky smile, "Well! What I meant is," She looked at her with a kind smile, "You never let distractions take lead. So, like, I envy your skills in multi-tasking."

"Oh, I see," She muttered and sipped on her tea.

Yumemi giggled, not minding some stares from both teams, "No harsh feelings when we win against your team~!"

"We came to train, not win," Y/n sighed for the hundredth time.

The bubblegum head pouted, "Aw, don't be a buzzkill. As your senior— I recommend you to have more spirit in winning no matter what~!"

"Sure."

"Y/n~," Yumemi whined but stopped when both their meals are now placed on their table courtesy of the waiter. She grinned widely before digging in as Y/n ate quietly.

Atsumu pouted and stabbed his tuna, jealousy written on his face as he witness how Itachiyama's manager get to talk to Y/n while eating, "It's not fair."

"Let them have their fun. They're the only girls here and I think it's better to let them have their fun. I mean, the other one looks like she knows Y/n better," Kita sighed and fixed the sleeves of his blouse, revealing his slight veiny forearms to his hands.

Aran nodded while chewing, "Wright."

Y/n turned to Atsumu by instincts and caught his gaze.

The blonde swore he saw her wink with a lipped smile.

And so he ate his food with a blush,. Osamu and Suna snickered and teased him about it.

Dinner was fun. Most of the people there are entertained with each other, even Inarizaki interacted with Itachiyama with the exception of Sakusa who looked sleepy.

Y/n hoped for the best when tomorrow comes.
