Chapter Forty-One

Chapter Start!

Cole looked at the map once more, "guys" he spoke up, they all stopped and turned to him.

"Is... is that rock... floating..?" He pointed at a rock, it floated slightly, but then dropped hard after everyone looked.

"Yup, it was clearly floating..." Gil walked toward it, "Yeah... Ralph! You're up, move the rock" Rita stepped forward as she spoke.

Ralph nodded, stepping forwards as well, he made his way to the Rock, and Moved it.

There, hiding in a little out cove, was a short, plump man. His hair was red, and he blushed, hiding his face.

"Umm... Hello!" Silvia smiled at him, He looked at her, blinked, then saw Ralph, Ryan and Gil, and blushed.

"Umm..." Emmy looked at Cole, "He thinks you're a girl" she smiled at her friend.

"Hey!"

"HA!"

The short man had come out of the small cavern, and had started a small fire, the team had sat down, and had started talking, it was dark now.

The man was a Dwarf, and his name was Susan.

"Oh course Susan can show you to the shrine!" he smiled.

"Really?" Cole smiled.

"Yes! Susan knows the way!"

(L. Note; Oh Don't Even Start!)

"Good, can you take us tomorrow at first light?" Daisy spoke up, she was sitting close to the fire, Jaylen and Hector were leaning on her, asleep.

"No, no, Susan knows Earth Shrine is too far to go in one day, we will stop at Susan's house!" Susan smiled, nodding.

"Alright, Thanks" Ryan gave a prince's smile.

Susan blushed, punching the prince, he scooted away, and get ready to sleep.

Ryan turned to Silvia, "Ow" he said, the Princess just laughed, headed over toward Gil and Rita, and slept between them.

"I guess I'll take first shift" Cole spoke, getting up, claiming a higher ledge, and creating a small lantern.

When the first light came up, Daisy was up on the ledge, she slid down, and met the boys at the bottom, they smiled, then went to cannonball on to Ralph, who woke up with a scream. Waking everyone else up.

Including Susan.

They walked for hours in the hot sun, then climbed a few hundred feet, and the hot sun turned to a cold wind.

It was snowing again.

They climbed

And climbed

And climbed...

"Its Freezing!" Hector and Silvia complained together.

"Then get your coat on!" Emmy yelled back.

"But I Am!" Jaylen yelled.

"Then Walk!" Cole yelled back from the front.

Jaylen and Hector have been being carried piggy back style for the last few hours; Ryan was getting a real workout.

They walked until it got dark, and finally they made it to a small hut in the mountains.

Susan let them in, they settled down, and passed out on the floor.

The next morning Susan lead them to the Shrine...

"Wait" Cole said, stopping the group.

"What?" Gil looked at him, "Why did we stop?" Silvia came running up.

"Something's wrong..." Cole spoke.

"Come Come!" Susan smiled.

"No no no, Susan, stop!" Cole stopped him, "Why?" Susan cocked his head.

Cole, Gil and Rita climbed up one of the ridges, and looked at the Shrine.

Cole had heard it, people... Talking...

And when they looked over, he was right, About twenty armed Guards stood there.

"Half are Harstar and the other is Clyden" Gil spoke.

They slid down to the others, "Getting in will be harder than we thought" Rita told the others.

"I think we should wait until night fall, then" Rita looked at Cole then to Ralph.

"I think, you two should get in, we will distract them, get in, get out, as fast as you can." Rita looked at them.

"Oh! Susan will go too!" Susan smiled.

They all looked at him, "Susan must so" he blushed.

"I Want To Go!" Jaylen spoke up, "Yeah!" Hector agreed.

They looked at them.

"Please?" Jaylen, Hector and Susan gave them the shiny eyes.

"Fine!" Gil sighed.

They smiled.

When night fell, Emmy had turned to shadows, and taken their weapons, Rita and Daisy tied up the sleeping men, and the one awake where taken down by Silvia and Ryan, by arrows.

Then Gil watched Cole, Ralph, Susan, Jaylen and Hector's backs, Cole read the Shrine.

"As earth shakes, only two of a kind can quiver, then Let light and shadow open the door"

Ralph and Susan shook the earth, then Cole lit the way as Hector shadowed up, and entered the switch.

The four entered.

The Door closed.

And the next Trial started.
