Quiet Burdens

Chapter Forty-Five

Alright guys! Time to do some character spot lights! (As in Character Development for one to two characters, this is because we are getting to a spot, that we need to have someone with really good development! .... You'll see)

SO MUCH FORESHADOWING!! AAAHH!!!

Chapter Start!

The team sat in carriages, Rita, Gil, Silvia, Cole, and Emmy sat in one, Daisy, Jaylen, Hector, Ryan and Ralph sat in another.

Cole, Silvia and Rita all had a few thoughts on their mind, from what thing King said.

Cole turned to Emmy, "Hey Emmy?" he asked, the girl turned to him, smiling. "Yes?"

"The King said something... And I was wondering if I could ask you about it?" he said trying to be polite.

"Oh, yeah sure! I'm totally open for you- I mean... J-just ask me the question" Emmy's face went red.

Cole blinked, "umm... Ew, anyway! The King said that Queen Scarlet wanted you dead? Why?"

Emmy blinked, her face went grim... "oh... that..." she spoke.

Gil, Rita and Silvia leaned closer, question and worry in their eyes.

Emmy took a breath, and started telling her story...

~~~Flash Back time! :D~~~

"Queen Scarlet had found something..." Emmy started to narrate.

She had found a lost continent. Knowing when word got out, the two kingdoms would fight over it, so she decided to send a group of people to check the place out.

That was my family, my tribe; the Fang Tribe.

For because we where elves, she thought we wouldn't betray her.

A small team went across, heading toward this land, undiscovered by the two kingdoms.

When we got there, we found people already there, the Demons.

The two kingdoms already knew of them, but never knew where they came from.

They were more high tech then us.

So we asked for a truce, and to have someone come with us to go back to Clyden to meet with the queen.

A Lady and Man came with us, they introduced themselves, and the Queen freaked.

She ordered their deaths.

The Demons fought.

The Lady got away, and hit, unable to get back to get back to her kingdom, she hid. The man was killed.

The Queen though we had betrayed her. Destroyed our boat we used to get there, and killed everyone who was on board.

Then she took the boat, and everyone who was killed, and sank it.

To the bottom of the ocean, she could say the sea took them, no war needed.

After that, the Fang Tribe was hunted...

I, Emmy, Am the last of us.

~~~Flash Back End~~~

Emmy pulled her hair back showing a fang shaped tattoo behind her pointed ear.

"This is given to the members using magic, it's a technique we are all taught to use." She let her hair fall.

Emmy let out a shaky breath.

Silvia put a hand on hers, giving her a small smile, "We'll protect you..."

Emmy gave her a small smile.

Cole put a hand on her shoulder, "Yeah, don't worry, I would let you get hurt! I-I'll even work on my Healing..." he gave a small chuckle, he hadn't "Healed" anyone for a long time, and didn't really know how.

Emmy's smile grow, and looked at them.

"Thanks"

Rita and Gil nodded to her, both giving her a fist bump, not being good with words, they smiled.

In the other carriage, Jaylen and Hector fell asleep, leaning agents Daisy.

And Ralph sat there telling the Daisy and Ryan a story.

~~~Ralph Story Time!!~~~

There once was a young boy... he spoke, using his hands.

His family lived on a farm, him his mother, father, and his two infant sisters.

The farm was out in the Grace Grasslands, near the town of Uyou. This area was known for their grapes, and wine.

One day, a knight came knocking, he was injured, and needed help.

The boys family let him in, and they nursed him back to health.

The knight helped out around the house and farm, pretty much becoming an older brother to the boy.

One day, another knock at the door woke the family in the middle of the night.

The man at the door was another knight.

He was looking for the man who had been staying with the family.

"Why!?" Jaylen yelled, the boy woke up.

Ha ha, well... The boys had scared Ralph, he thought they were still sleeping, he went back to telling the story.

The man had done something... Something that could be counted as treason.

He freed a prisoner.

The Knight who came for the man was there to kill him.

The man yelled "He Was Just A Kid!"

But the Knight yelled back, "It Was Our Duty!"

"To Kill A Kid!?"

They went on, and on...

Until someone drew a sword...

They fought...

It rained.

And both were killed in the end.

Days later, another Knight came to see where their missing Captain went. The Families father told him what happened, and showed him to their graves.

The Knight nodded, and left grimly.

The boy would go to the graves, and wonder...

"Why did that Knight free a kid?"

"And Why did his friend come to kill him?"

The boy wanted to knew this answer, so we went, and became a knight himself...

He now knew why.

Because he couldn't just turn a blind eye.

Jaylen and Hector blinked, "That was a bad ending" they agreed with each other.

"Guys!" Daisy gave them a look, then she looked at Ralph, "It was a great story"

"Yeah man" Ryan smiled to him.

Chapter End.

So first! With Emmy's tale, yes, I mentioned the lost continent a few chapter before. And yeah! She was being hunted, and so happened to stumble upon the team!

And With Ralphs tale, if you didn't notice the similarity, The Knight Freed a kid, Ralph Became a Knight, and at the beginning of this story, Ralph freed Cole. A few points will be mentioned later, you know, how he was hunted down and killed? Well.................. *Evil Laugh*

Also, we have a little foreshadowing for Jaylen and Hectors parents!

Yeah, they didn't just pop out of the ground. X3
