Day was breaking,
as I laid and slept.
Morning comes,
as I tire from my rest.

The curtains are shut and closed,
as my eyes flutter awake.
No one seems to know,
the truth hidden behind my smiling face.

I sit up then look around in wonder,
squinting my eyes while trying to understand.
How on Earth did I get here?
With no big or luxurious plans.

I slip into my shoes, then rise to my feet,
Slowly turning to face the metal door.
I take a few steps, then reach for the handle,
only to be blinded by a wave of tears as they pour.

Now where exactly was I going?
With those puffy sad red eyes.
To put on a front that can never detected,
and try forget her silent goodbyes.
