In Voltohm - where governmental powers have disbanded, civilizations have crumbled, and mostly ruins remain - scattered cities harboring the last of the technology-driven Automaraptor species have been erected across Voltohm's landscape, ensuring the survival of those who remain standing in this otherwise unsupervised world.

Within the trade-oriented city of Scrap resides an ex-mercenary and weapon engineer dubbed Excalibur, whose lack of business has led him back into the loop of offering his combat prowess to the vagabond's who pass through the small town.

And when he's offered the chance to follow the lead of an odd Automaraptor with an energy cannon surgically fixed to her arm - his view on the world outside of Scrap quickly changes as he realizes that the ruins hidden beneath the sands of Voltohm are hiding a whole slew of secrets that not too many of the remaining population knows of.

Some of which may even hold the key to allowing Excalibur and his intriguing companion, Loose Cannon, to understand just how Voltohm came to be the desolate wasteland that they know of.
