We Have a Voice, but Not a Say.
Apparently adults can't figure out how to fix politics for the better of the people of America. I've come up with a few things that need critiqued.
1. If you don't approve of the presidential candidates, STEP UP. I cannot stress this anymore. I'm sick and tired of the greed. They say anyone can be president. Prove it. Or, better yet, go into Congress or the local government. You propose the laws that can make our country better. Cough, cough. Ohio tax dollars are divided by local area, not averaged out, causing unequal opportunities in education. Cough, cough. Thanks, Cleveland.
2. Speaking of the presidential candidates, refine the financial step. Give them a budget to spend. Not the small loan of a million dollars. I'm talking every person who decides to run gets the same budget. If they go over that budget, they're out. And no donations would be allowed; it's better off in a charity. Every candidate would have an equal opportunity to say what type of president they'd be, regardless of their financial standing. They'd have the same amount of airing time, because, let's face it, political ads get annoying.
3. Have the people control Congress's pay. If they don't listen to the majority, boom, they now get minimum wage.
4. The people can petition for laws Congress doesn't approve. You just have to get enough signatures.
5. Keep up to date with the stupidity and brains put into the proposed laws.
6. Inform the public of problems they might not even be aware of.
7. Get rid of political parties. How many government shutdowns have we had because of them?
