Firstly; putting other people's writing down will not make mine any better so I won't be dissing anybody else's hard work.

Something I will try to avoid doing however would be rape or (sexual) child abuse, there's nothing wrong with those who do write about such things, I am aware that it sometimes adds a lot of depth and character development to a story but I just wouldn't like to write it myself.

I'd feel terrible and sick writing a rape scene, I have done attempted rape scenes before but I will never let such a thing happen to my reader, I'm too much of a snowflake to do that. 😅

As for sexual child abuse, it's essentially the same thing for me, it'll make me feel awful and sick to write because I'll have to imagine it in order to describe it well enough and it'll disgust me immensely.

To anybody who can write about this, you're a stronger person than me. Kudos. 😂
