Did Mihawk give Kyo the last name; Dracule?

No, he did not. She just took it. 😅

For anybody who is wondering also, he didn't name her Kyo either, that was her name when he found her. 😂

She took Dracule when she left his castle at 17, he naturally didn't know that she was going to use his surname but when he found out, he more or less just frowned about it rather than getting necessarily angry.

But yes, he still reminds her that he is not her father, especially when she refers to him as her "Pa".

She does this because he is the only parental figure she has ever known aside from her mother (who was abusive).

She never knew who her father was and therefore had no trauma with the word, whereas when she hears "mother" she associates it with her mother which has her feeling little emotion over the relation.

But when she learnt of the word 'Father' and what a father is, she was living with Mihawk and connected many of the fatherly traits to the things he had done for her so therefore, she started to see him as her dad - despite him not agreeing with this at all. 😂

So yeah, she took his name when she left to travel the sea because in her eyes, it's the "daughterly" thing to do. This thought process was mainly encouraged by the characters in books she had read - funnily enough, they are books that Mihawk himself gave her to try and keep her busy so in a way, he sort of sealed his "dad role" fate without even realising it.

In the books she noticed that the characters all seemed to have the same surnames as their father's, even if the mother's didn't share it so she naturally thought that she had to take Mihawk's surname in order to be his child.

In this sense, she's rather naive. 😂

Anyways, I hope that helped people understand, I really should have clarified this in her info book, my bad.
