Bulma PoV

"Vegeta!!" I screamed frightfully, while witnessing Vegeta being engulfed in Zion's beam. The sky had darkened, and flashes of lightning sounded while Zion's evil laugh echoed through the air. Everyone stared at the scene and held their breath, almost looking as though they really couldn't move.

Goku stepped forward and made a fist. "Vegeta! Power up! You can fight it!!" he encouraged. But even though Goku seemed strong in his words, his face was full of fear.

I looked back and forth between my friends, but no one was doing anything. Tears ran down my cheeks as I stomped up to Goku and grabbed him by the shirt. "Goku do something! Please!" I pleaded as Vegeta's wails in pain made me cry worse and worse.

Goku frowned. "I.. I can't. This is Vegeta's fight. Its only fair, Bulma."

"How can you say that!?" I shouted. "Forget that 'Its Only Fair' crap! This isn't a tournament, Goku! This is a real fight!! Vegeta could really DIE out there!" I shouted in anger as I let go of Goku and shoved him back.

Goku blinked in shock as he thought hard about my words,almost looking as though he might change his mind and help. But I wasn't waiting any longer.

I spun around, leaped into the air, and activated my boots for flight. "Bulma STOP!!" Goku yelled as he reached out to grab me, but he was too late.

I flew as fast as possible towards Zion. I didn't know what I was doing.. Having my new adaptations made me feel like a hero.?. like the rest of the group. And I guess I felt that I had the power to do something. But as I neared Zion, my courage faded drastically and my stomach felt sick. And it was too late to back down. There was electricity that emanated form Zion that zapped me as I got closer. I let out screams in pain, but managed to outstretched my right arm and made my hand into a fist. I shut my eyes tight and shouted, "Gloves, Activate!!"

My gloves instantly powered up with a high pitched ring, and began to glow brightly. Everything now seemed to flow in slow motion as Zion's eyes met mine with an extremely surprised look. I gritted my teeth, flew up to Zion at lightning speed, and punched his face with incredible power made possible by my gloves.

My attack knocked Zion off balance, so I instinctively sent a kick to his side. He gasped in pain and slighting fell, but then caught himself in the air. Zion's beam had broke apart and vanished, leaving Vegeta unconscious, and falling to the ground. I quickly raced to catch Vegeta. I succeeded, but I was unaware of how heavy he was! I immediately started to descend at a speed to fast for my liking. Just in time, Goku caught me and Vegeta, and we all landed safely on the ground.

I dropped to my knees panting. I was shaking and scared out of my mind, but the whole experience was almost exciting. Either way, I wasn't planning on doing anything of the sort again. Goku's mouth hung open and his expression was priceless.

"B-Bulma.. Are you okay?" Goku barely got out.

I nodded. "Yeah. I'm a little sore but I'll manage." I replied while Goku put his hand in mine and helped me up. "I think I've been electrocuted enough today.."

Goku smiled thoughtfully, but his eyes suddenly widened in fear. "LOOK OUT!!" he yelled.

Goku pushed me to the side forcefully, and blocked Zion's incoming blast that almost killed me. I crashed to the ground a good 100ft away, but quickly sat up and saw Goku head to head with Zion. I looked over and saw Vegeta lying on the ground covered in blood, but he was coming to. I crawled over to him as softly as possible. I didn't want to draw any attention to myself, even though Zion was already fighting Goku.

"Vegeta! Get up!" I demanded while shoving Vegeta back and forth.

Vegeta opened his eyes slowly. "B-... Bulma?"

I smiled. "That's me!"

Vegeta sat up with a drowsy expression. "What happened?"

"You were almost killed! That's what!" I replied angrily.

"W-Was not. I had everything under contro-"

I slapped Vegeta in the face before he could finish. "No you didn't have everything under control. Just admit it and get off your high horse, Mr. Prince Charming!"

Vegeta stared at me for a second in shock of what I had done, but then stood up. ".......Chraming, huh?" he said with a curious look.

I sprang to my feet and slapped Vegeta again. "Shut up!" I shouted. "Aren't we forgetting the problem? Hello!? A psycho alien foreigner is trying to kill Goku as we speak!"

I pointed to the battle a ways away from us. Vegeta took a step closer toward the scene, but then fell down. I knelt down and tried to help him up again.

"You can't fight anymore.." I said sadly.

Vegeta got his balance back again and pushed me away. "Yes I can! I can keep fighting!!" he yelled.

I stared in awe of Vegeta's perseverance. He had to be the most stubborn person I have ever met. But also, I admired him for that very stubbornness. Vegeta never gives up, even when he's down. And that gave me the courage to keep fighting this battle too, even if I didn't always use my fists.

I smiled with determination.  "You're right!" I said cheerfully. "Just... don't over do it?"

Vegeta looked back at me with a smirk. "I don't plan on dying today, women."

With that, Vegeta flew off towards the battle between Goku and Zion, leaving a cloud of dust behind him. I held my hand to my heart with hopes high as he neared the fight. "Go get him, prince."
