Nat's POV

I was sat on the ground, outside my "mum" 's house, a bottle of vodka in my hand.

The sun was setting and I could smell food from inside the house.

-Someone is here for you- Yelena said from behind me.

I turned and my eyes widened: Bucky was there, standing in front of me.

-I think you two should talk, alone- my sister said and then left.

I didn't say anything and took a sip of vodka, while Bucky sat next to me.

-I... I am here to apologize- Bucky started.
I didn't want to listen to him, he hurt me already too much.

I was about to stand when he took my hand.

-No, let me explain- he said -I have been so stupid, I was so jealous that I couldn't see anything different from what i thought was happening. I didn't mean what I told you, I think you are the best woman I have ever met and even if you won't forgive me, I will always love you-.

I was speechless, I didn't know what to say or do.

Was I ready to forgive him? No, my brain said. But my heart said "yes".

I smiled, talking his face in my hands.

-I love you too- I said.

And we kissed.
