"I am very serious in fact you just interrupted our date Mr Sharma."

"What", both Satvik and Shivaay said together.

"Yes, meet Shivaay", she said, looping her hands in his arms.

"He is my boyfriend!!"

"What", Satvik was flabbergasted, his male ego couldn't digest that Annika has a boyfriend.

Whereas Shivaay was looking at his newly formed girlfriend, he was left speechless, he didn't know what to say right now but the word boyfriend has erupted many feelings in his mind. He can feel some unknown strings are joining him with her.

Even Annika was surprised when she declared Shivaay as his boyfriend which was a bolt from the blue, and now the hard task is to convince Shivaay to act along or else tai tai phiss of her plan.

"Ohk so Mr Shivaay you are his boyfriend?" Satvik who just came out of the shock asked pointing towards Annika.

Shivaay just looked at Satvik then at Annika who was just making puppy face , without coming in notice of Satvik whose attention ws on noticing Shivaay and comparing himself with him and proving the point that he is better than Annika's so called boyfriend.

Having no other option Shivaay decided to play along as he knew Annika he was sure that she might have a really strong reason to do this.

"Ahm Yes I am Annika's boyfriend Shivaay Singh Oberoi. And you are?"said Shivaay in his SSO tadi.

Hearing the name Oberoi Satvik gulp the lump formed in his throat, but he decided to play confidently.

"Well I am Satvik Sharma, currently working as an associate professor in IIT Bombay.", he said in his usual smug face.

"And Annika's ex boyfriend, so if you want any tips on how to keep her happy feel free come to me." he added while keeping his hands inside the pocket.

"Why will I come to you Mr Sharma?"he asked, making an innocent face.

"I mean isn't it obvious if I want to take a tip or a suggestion I will go to someone who has a stable relationship not like someone you who was just dumped by my girlfriend. And even I really don't need anyone's suggestion on how to keep her happy, she is my girlfriend I know better than anyone else."said Shivaay,keeping his hand on her waist and pulling her closer.

Shock would be an understatement for Annika, she didn't imagine Shivaay was such a fabulous actor and knows how to give a punch of words. She was completely flat upon him.

Satvik couldn't believe that he was just humiliated again in front of his ex-girlfriend. But he will get even with them, that too today itself. So he decided to change the gear of his gameplan.

"I am sorry Mr Oberoi if I offend you. I didn't mean it like that. And I am sorry Annika for all my mistakes that I made in the past, I really want to mend things between us, please !!", he said, making a guilty face.

Whereas Annika just rolled her eyes as she knows how Satvik is, with two years of dating him she was sure that Satvik never accepts his mistakes.

But she knows stretching this issue won't help her right now as she has to deal with Shivaay also and has to apologise for pushing him in the bed of nails.

She just nodded her head.

"Thanks for forgiving me, but I don't want to lose this opportunity. It would be great if you both join me and Manvi for dinner. Then only I will believe that you forgave me.", he said in a sugar coated voice.

"It's not really needed Satvik, look I really don't want to indulge with you more, I just forgive you because it was a long back and secondly Shivaay has a really important video conference so I guess we have to leave right now.", said Annika so that Satvik don't raita phailao in their lives.

"Seriously Annika?, I mean, couldn't your boyfriend leave a meeting just for you or you are still not over me" Satvik asked in a pretentious tone.

Before Annika could say something Shivaay jumped in between.

"It's ok Anni, I can manage. I will ask Mishra to postpone the meeting, and yes Mr Sharma we will surely join you.", said Shivaay.

Whereas Annika was gawking at him using nicknames that were so not him, what's gotten into him. Is he drunk? Or what how could tadibaaz bagadbilla behaving so romantic.

"Please call me Satvik, don't male me feel like an uncle. So that's great. I hope you guys know about 'Absolute Barbeque'? Right?". He was glad that they accepted his offer and now he will show who is the boss.

Shivaay nodded his head. And took Annika with him towards his car.

Soon they sat inside the car, Shivaay was looking straight towards the road whereas Annika is mentally preparing herself for starting a conversation. She thought once they would come inside the car he would burst upon her, but nothing like that happened.

"Ahm Shivaay", Annika started hesitantly.

Whereas Shivaay just hmm, indicating her to continue.

"Well I really want to apologise, because of me you are in this mess. I really didn't want to involve you in this. It's just the heat of the moment I made a hasty decision." she said looking at him while nervously playing with her fingers.

"Well you really don't need to apologise, I mean yes it was shocking for me that you added my name but I know you really need that person, he is really a moron, pardon my french but I can't deny."

Annika chuckled at his last line.

"Finally someone believed that he is a bonehead, or else my colleagues used to say that I over react, and he is really a nice and sweet person." she said with a tinge of satisfaction that there is someone who thinks like her.

"Really he is sweet, I mean wow!!. I must say you really have a bad choice in boyfriend as well as in friend. I mean how could someone like you can date like Satvik."

"Oh common I wasn't really fond of him, it was just that people use to think if we would be a thing then we will be like supercouple ones, so just we went for few dates and he asked me to being her girlfriend, since he was a Mr Fresher in our college and almost every girl's crush so I decided to go with flow.", she immediately corrected him.

"But after two years of dating I realised he just boosted himself, for him he is the most important person ,and rest are useless. So I decided to break up with him, and the point was he could not really digest it, that he is being dumped. So to just show he does not care he started dating my roomie typically just using her to get my reaction. But the point was I never felt anything for him other than friendship so it didn't really affect me.", she said with a sad smile.

"So you didn't love him?", he asked gleefully.

"No, a big no I don't love that narcissist.", she said with a horrid face.

"Thank god!!", he said joyfully.

Annika narrowed her eyes.

"I am just thanking, that you didn't fall in love with that idiot, or else you would have regretted it." he said, defending himself.

But Annika was not ready to accept it.

"What I mean to say to Annika, that you deserve a better boy than Satvik, I mean look at you, you are really beautiful, you are independent, you are smart and also have your own company but the best thing is you." he said dreamily.

"You? Matlab?", she asked not getting him.

"You mean, you don't pretend to be someone else which you are not, you are straight forward, you say directly what you like or not, and this quality of yours is something that attracts me towards you and irritates me as well. But the latter dominates." He said admiring her.

Annika never thought that someone would be there who can understand her so well, the way he described her as if he had been knowing her for years. It touched her heart.

To change the topic, she said "We have reached" while wiping a lone tear which was about to fall from her eye.

Shivaay just nodded his head, even he was feeling different, he never thought he could describe any woman in such a way or he could pretend to be someone's boyfriend.

They started to move towards the restaurant when Shivaay hold her hand, and says

"Let's kick his ass!!"

"You mean to say, do his Tai Tai phiss?"

She said, raising her eyebrows and with an evil smile.

Although Shivaay didn't know the meaning of what she said, he just evilly smiled, and holding her palm, both went inside the restaurant.
