Traditional Sleepovers
a/n: okay so ill be updating more often (probably daily lol) because this story seriously needs to speed up, i don't get how y'all are still here :) but thank you
Jennie always talking about meeting her girls after school. But you never got to see what went on in their after school shenanigans.
"Where is Lisa?"
"She said she's running late," Chaeyoung affirmed, showing her recent conversations with Lalisa. Jennie slowly nodded.
"Well, I was going to talk about some things, but I guess we have to wait for Lisa."
"Do you have chicken?" Jisoo chimed cutely, Jennie's eyebrows quirked.
"Yeah...in the fridge. You might need to heat it up though."
Jisoo smiled, and left with a skip in her step. Jennie snorted at this. "So, she still likes chicken? I thought it was just a phase."
"You thought wrong. Not only does she manage to eat bucket-loads of fried chicken, she manages to still stay super skinny and pimple-free."
"I do see her taking runs."
"I don't know how she has the motivation for all that, on top of her intensive involvement with school and life in general."
"Well, that is Jisoo. She does more than one would think humanly possible."
"You saw her with Jin at the dance right?"
"I did. I wonder if he asked her out on a second date?"
"He probably did," Chaeyoung popped a piece of bubblegum into her mouth. "We know she would never have the guts to ask him."
"She can definitely flirt though. Ever since that dance, I always catch them talking in the hallways."
"Doesn't she have classes with him?"
"Yeah, she's probably one of the only few who has classes with upperclassmen."
"Talking about me?" Jisoo mused, holding a container of chicken, wafting a delicious smell.
"Yes, actually. Tell us what happened at the dance between you and Jin."
"Well, I think I got friend-zoned." She admitted, sitting down in between Chaeyoung's legs. Chaeyoung smiled cutely, taking this as an opportunity to do Jisoo's hair.
So some things never changed between them.
"What? Why would you say that?" Jennie asked, biting the inside of her cheek, hugging a pillow to her chest. Also simultaneously wondering where Lisa was.
"Because I may have told him he was a good friend."
"Jisoo!"
"Sorry, I'm not good at these kind of things!" She looked away awkwardly.
"You are good at hooking up with people." Chaeyoung piped with a smirk, sharing a look with Jennie. Jennie returned the smirk to Jisoo, who simply rolled her eyes.
"Shut up Chae."
"Never!" She growled back, smacking Jisoo's shoulder. Just then, the doorbell rang.
"I swear! If that's Lalisa..." Jennie got up, and ran down the staircase of her house, quick to open the front door.
"You bitch, get inside and tell me why you were so late?" Jennie shoved the breathless blonde up the staircase.
"Sorry! I had a few errands to run for my sister and I—uh, lost track of time. I-I didn't realize they would take that much time."
Jennie halted in her tracks, before turning Lisa's shoulders around to face her.
"I don't believe you." Jennie was quick to whisper lowly to Lisa. The blonde returned the look with a blank one.
"Well it's the truth Jennie."
"And every pretty girl knows how to lie. I'll let it slide, but this conversation isn't over. Clear?"
"Crystal." Lisa removed herself from Jennie's grip, before entering Jennie's room.
"Oh there you are! Jisoo and I were just talking about the time you and Jennie got lost in the woods."
"We won't talk about that." Jennie awkwardly mumbled, the originally tense mood with Lisa diminishing with Chaeyoung's oblivious one.
Lisa was much like Jennie, thanks to the girl herself. She had known ever since the two had met that they were very similar to each other. Jennie had been smart even as a child.
Lisa had been the first of the four that Jennie had met, following shortly after with Jisoo, then later on Chaeyoung.
Jennie couldn't lie to herself that there were times were Lisa scared her. She knew that she herself carried that intimidation level on many other people, Lisa was probably one of the only few who could intimidate her...
Had she been a boy, Jennie probably would've found this hot.
"Oh! Jisoo, I want chicken!" Lisa whined to the dark haired girl, who silently refused.
"Yah! No fair, you probably already ate most of it!"
"Did not!" Jisoo held the container away from Lisa's reach.
"Did too!"
"You weren't even here!"
"It doesn't take much to put two and two together." Lisa grinned wickedly, pointing to the remnants of many fried chicken pieces. Jisoo shot her a glare, before passing the container reluctantly to Lisa.
Lisa was all triumphant grins.

"I wanted to talk about something, you all are staying over right?" Jennie asked, now armed with a fuzzy blanket and a cup of ice cream.
Each girl was corresponding with the same, except for Jisoo who had a eye mask on her forehead.
"Yeah." The three responded in unison.
"This is about the dance isn't it?" Chaeyoung asked softly, smiling no more.
Jennie's eyes fell to her feet, nodding slowly.
"Yeah, um Jennie, where were you at the dance? You weren't there when Chae and Jimin..." Lisa looked at Chaeyoung awkwardly before mumbling, "...when they broke up."
"I—had some errands."
"Errands?" Lisa challenged, shooting Jennie a look. The other two watched as an argument started to commence.
"Yes. Errands."
"What kind exactly?"
"Would you really need to know?"
"Again with the secrets Jennie?"
"Then why don't you tell me why exactly you were so late to our sleepover if you're so against secrets?"
"If you really needed to know, then fine! I was with Jungkook!" Lisa yelled, jaw clenched.
"What?" Both Chaeyoung and Jennie gasped.
Lisa looked at Jisoo, who looked down awkwardly.
"I'm gonna go...use the bathroom." Jisoo awkwardly mumbled, moving for the door. Lisa yanked her down.
"No, you're staying here."
"Wait, does Jisoo know something?"
"Why were you with Jungkook?" Chaeyoung posed, eyes narrowed.
"He had an affair with the math teacher." Jisoo whispered before looking at Lisa in realization. "That's why you were always around him, because his girlfriend died and you were being supportive...wow. I was assuming it was something else."
"Wait, slow down!" Jennie yelled, confused even more.
"You're telling me...Jungkook was dating the math teacher? Sunsaeng-nim Aeja?"
"Yes."
"Isn't that illegal?"
"Yes."
"And she's the one who died...so you were providing him condolences?"
"Yes."
"He was dating the math teacher?" Chaeyoung whispered harshly, mouth opening and closing repeatedly.
"Wow. I really did not see that coming." Jennie mumbled in surprise, resting a hand on her forehead. "And he told you? I thought the both of you hated each other!"
"That girl kind of told me." Lisa responded, nodding at her phone. "And Jisoo was there when I got the message, so both of us found out at the same time."
"You didn't bother to tell us?"
"I didn't want it to get around!"
"Since when did you ever care about Jungkook?"
"Since the day when he caught me Jennie." Lisa whispered to her, Jennie was silent. Swallowing harshly, she nodded once, getting the message before looking away.
Chaeyoung and Jisoo watched on again as Lisa and Jennie openly discussed a heated topic, again. This is how it always been.
Only the four knew that Lisa was the only one who challenged Jennie. Or had the ability to.
"Okay. Anyways, back to what I was saying, about the dance..."
"Wow, never thought I'd see the four of you in this room again. Nostalgic isn't it?" The sudden male voice caused Jennie to turn, the other girls in suit.
Kim Suho, Jennie's notorious mysterious brother. Older than her, he worked a rich, high paying business job in another state, and hardly visited. Jennie used to be close to him, but things change.
They always did.
Back when they had been in school together, he had been the player of the school, known for leather jackets and sleek motorcycles. Had been on the soccer team, and the founder of the Golden Boys.
So he was like Jennie in many ways.
"So what? They're my friends." Jennie responded coldly, watching his every move.
"Just funny how things have returned to the way they used to, isn't it? I remember how much you yearned for change Jennie." He stepped further into her room, eyeing the three of her friends, a black suit jacket draped over his shoulder.
He was indirectly hinting at her and Jennie didn't like it. She shot him a warning glare.
"Get the hell out of my room."
"Watch the tone. I am older."
"I'm only saying it once Suho, get out."
"Alright...I'll leave. But that's no way you welcome your brother back is it?"
"Kiss my ass. I never wanted to see you anyway and you know that."
His eyes shifted to his shoes, before looking back at Jennie.
"You hardly visit anyway." She whispered lowly, before pointing to the door. "Leave us alone please. Mom's waiting for you."
"I know. Goodnight."
Jennie didn't respond as he closed the door behind him. Jisoo whistled lowly, eyeing the shut door.
"Now, that is family tension. You two used to get along so great."
"Well you all know this better than anyone else. Secrets spill and friendships are hurt. Some are broken and can never be fixed. Mine just happened to be one of them."
She sighed, resting her head against the wall, closing her eyes.
Chaeyoung snorted softly. "Don't mind me, but he got really hot."
"Chae!" Lisa elbowed her, nodding her head at Jennie's figure, who sat in thought. Chaeyoung pursed her lips, quiet almost instantly.
"I keep getting interrupted," Jennie started to speak after a few minutes of tense silence, opening her eyes to look at them. Her eyes stayed trained on the wall behind Jisoo.
"Remember this for me." Eyes moved from the wall to her hands.
"Secrets girls," Jennie whispered, wrapping her blanket around her more as she looked each of them in the eye.
"It's what keeps us close. No one has to know about what happened that night. It's between us and the boys. Got it?"
"Yes."
