The File

"You want me to what?" Lisa shrieked, Jennie shot her a sharp glare, tugging the blonde's arm into the nearest bathroom.

"I can't Jennie, I'm sorry!"

"Oh sure you can, it's not like it's an expensive Michael Kors bag."

"B-But this—it's not clothes!"

"You weren't exactly doing 'candy bar stealing' to begin with. So stealing a few files won't be that hard, will it?"

Jennie wasn't asking like it was a question, Jennie knew Lalisa would do it whether she wanted to or not.

She was voluntold.

"I—fine."

"You owe, remember. Don't mess this up."

"You're playing a risky game Jennie."

Voices hushed to a whisper, Jennie smirked with a slight nod. "I'm aware Lis. But I'm not the only one. You, me, and everyone else is involved in this. After obtaining the files, you will meet Taehyung at the bus station."

Lisa nodded slowly, swallowing harshly, before meeting Jennie's once again.

"Remember, this is a murder we're solving Lisa. Since the cops here can't get anything done without knowing more, we have to steal the evidence before they get to it."

"Why can't they just figure it out though?"

"Because in order for them to figure it out, they'll have to unlock the secrets we hold close to us. Now, you wouldn't want that to happen would you?"

Lisa's jaw tightened, she headed to the exit of the bathroom.

"Hey, are we clear?" Jennie barked.

Lisa scoffed. "Yeah, crystal."

"Um, hi."

Chaeyoung looked up from her cup of coffee, noticing her ex. She flashed him a small, polite smile before nodding in salutation, standing up.

"Oh, you didn't have to get up."

"Why don't you sit?" She awkwardly laughed, gesturing to the seat next to hers.

To anyone looking from the outside, it looked like two awkward teenagers fumbling around embarrassedly on a first date.

It was far different from that, one of tense, high strung, upset feelings no one was willing to voice.

He sat down, she followed in suit before awkwardly rubbing her hands together. "Did you want something to order?"

"Oh no, I already bought a..." He hesitated. "...muffin."

"Oh! Okay." Head nodded repeatedly in an uncomfortable silence.

"So, are y-you going to the memorial?"

"We kind of have to, don't we?"

"Yeah." He smiled, running a hand through his hair, of the many times of watching him do that, Chaeyoung could conclude that the boy was nervous.

"Have you talked to the counselor recently?"

"No, have you?"

"She told me I should consider seeing a therapist."

"What? Why?"

"I-It's not about Sunsaeng's death." Chaeyoung watched as Jimin's lips parted in understanding, bobbing his head lightly and lowered his gaze.

"I thought you—I thought those problems weren't an issue anymore Chae..."

She pursed her lips. "They aren't issues anymore, occasionally I feel tempted to...but no. It's not a problem. My parents just—"

Her mind wandered as she rambled some explanation to Jimin, who didn't seem like he was paying much attention to her words anyways.

Talking about the old times brought back many golden memories of her with Jimin, ones she would love to revisit, but only when she had a bucket of ice cream and several boxes of tissues. They had been painful but so beautiful.

The way Chaeyoung's love for Jimin blossomed was a beautiful story, but would only result with the strawberry blonde in tears.

Love really was a bitch. It knew how to suck you in, make it hard for you to escape, made you so dependent on it, so that when you were left without it, you were completely starved, suffocated, a ghost of a shell.

"Well...if y-you need anyone to talk to, I'm here." He offered politely, but the genuine smile on his face implied so much more.

"Yeah...yeah of course." The two got up simultaneously, bumping into each other. Chaeyoung's coffee cup fell, whatever left in the thermos spilling out.

Luckily none of it got on her outfit, just the floor. Jimin cursed not so softly, grabbing a few napkins to wipe up the mess.

Chaeyoung joined him moments later on the floor, grabbing the styrofoam cup, and tossing it away in the trash.

"I'm so sorry."

"Don't worry about it, I was pretty much done anyways."

"Are you sure it's fine?"

"Relax Jimin. It's all good."

"Okay." He squeaked, ears pink. "See you around then."

"Okay." She smiled at him as he turned to leave, before biting her lip.

"Wait, Jimin."

"Yeah?"

"Um, about the mess," She nodded her head to the now cleaned up coffee spill. "Maybe to make up for it, buy me coffee tomorrow?"

She saw the glimpse of his pearly white teeth as he nodded at her, the familiarity of his swoon-worthy grins returning.

"Hi, I'm...Min Yoona." Lisa lied, tapping her nails against the counter of the front desk. "My aunt, Min Aeja, she was a patient here?"

The receptionist looked up at her. "Aeja you said?"

Heartbeat picked up more, Lisa swallowed the fear away and nodded nervously.

"M-My mother, her sister wanted to see her files..."

Lisa had gathered so much courage just to drive down to the therapist's office, lying for something like this suddenly felt all too new for her.

She's stolen before! Why was this such an issue?

"I'm afraid we can't give out files for people to take home."

"N-No that's okay! I just wanted to look at it, s-she passed away you know, and I just wanted to report back to my mother of what was in there, if her condition worsened..." She fumbled around with the words, each word feeling like another lie slipping from her baby pink coated lips.

The secretary must've pitied her, for her got up after a few moments, quietly mumbling for Lisa to follow her.

"Usually we wouldn't let anyone just see the files, we'd have all this paperwork, but I'll take it easy on you today. I'm so sorry for your loss."

"Thank you, really."

The file was handed to her, the woman patted her shoulder before leaving the room. Then Lisa was completely alert.

She noted how Aeja's file had come from a locked cabinet, she pulled a bobby pin from her hair, pressing an ear to the wall of the drawer, and fiddling with the lock. Satisfied when she heard a click, she smirked, throwing open the cabinet.

Then out of her purse she pulled out an identical manilla folder, one filled with scrap paper and slipped it into the cabinet. Lisa shut it, sticking the bobby pin back in her hair.

She hated that she was good at this.

Opening the folder to see if it was legitimate, she was shocked to see what she found.

"Patient admitted she was a...sex addict?" Lisa whispered, eyes widening. She was a sex addict?

"Aeja said she fell in love with someone that could've caused her to go to jail." Lisa read from the file, mumbling the words under her breath. "She never told him she was an addict...oh my god."

She told the therapist about her illegal affair with Jungkook! This explained everything! But this caused a sickening feeling in her stomach.

If Jungkook knew the real reason she was so, horny around him, how would he feel around Lisa? Surely it wouldn't be the same? His feelings for her had only developed because of his hate for Aeja...if that were to diminish.

"He can't know." Lisa mumbled sadly to herself, before sticking the file into her purse. "I'm so sorry Jungkook."

She bit her lip, pulling out her phone.

Lying Lalisa, has a nice ring to it. Doesn't it?
