Late Night Bus Rides
Fall Formal's coming up sweet Chaeng, and here's what I want from you. Bring cutie Jungkook to the dance as your date, or Jimin gets the slip.

Chaeyoung felt her face pale, eyes zoning in and out at the text out of panic. This would ruin her relationship with Jimin either way! Everyone expected her to go to the dance with Jimin, her goddamn boyfriend, she would look like a skank if she didn't go with him. Heck, she would be accused of cheating, not to mention Jimin would break up with her on the spot.
She wasn't even friends with Jungkook, it made no sense! This blogger was driving her insane, would she seriously go through with this?
"Hey babe, what's up?"
Chaeyoung quickly turned off her phone, forcing a fake smile for Jimin. She turned, kissing his cheek. "Not much. How'd you do on the physics quiz?"
"Oh, I bombed that."
"Same!" Both of them laughed, but Chaeyoung's was fake. Nothing could make her feel better, the fact that she felt like the worst girlfriend in the world didn't help.
"You excited for the Fall Formal?" He asked, Chaeyoung nodded quickly. Almost too quickly.
"Y-Yeah of course! Why wouldn't I be?"
"Don't get so uptight, I was just asking." He teased, rubbing her shoulder. "I gotta get to class now, but I'll see you at lunch?"
"Of course."
He kissed Chaeyoung, breaths soft and steady, like mint. She knew he was in no rush to get to class, but simply decided to leave her alone since he knew something was bothering her. What an amazing guy, and here she was.
"Your PDA makes me sick sometimes, but I can suck it up since it's you." Lisa spoke, after Jimin left, taking a seat on the bench Chaeyoung sat at.
"That blogger has been sending me texts Lisa. My secret could potentially ruin my relationship with Jimin, and she's threatening me that she'll tell him if I don't do what she wants."
"You cheated on him, didn't you?" Lisa whispered, Chaeyoung sighed.
"Let me guess; Jennie told you."
"No...she didn't. But it's not hard to figure out, especially if this secret could ruin what you have with Jimin."
"This is such a mess, and it hardly started. It's only been like a week since she's starting bothering us. I know it's going to get worse. It's tearing me apart Lisa, I-I don't like it."
"I'm not holding up well either. But we'll manage, Jennie said it's nothing we have to worry about."
"Has she gotten threats like this though Lis? I don't think she has! She acts like she has everything figured out, but I don't think she does this time—"
"Hey ladies. What's the gossip?" Jennie interrupted, squeezing her way into the seat between Lisa and Chaeyoung.
"'Nothing much. Chaeyoung was just talking about physics quiz." Lisa lied, sparing Chaeyoung a glance.
There were things they all found about Jennie irritating. Not irritating, it was infuriating sometimes. Not many, if any, knew that even her posse could get angry with her.
Jennie, unaware of the conversation Lisa and Chaeyoung had earlier, smiled at the two.
"Oh, I definitely aced that. I had Jisoo help me study."
"I think I did okay." Lisa lied, again. Lisa had done actually surprisingly well, but Jennie didn't need to know. Once again, not many people took into account that Lisa was smart.
She wasn't as smart as Jisoo, but she was still better than most. Better than Jennie in most times.
Lisa's reason to being somewhat smart was that whenever she inherited her father's business, she wouldn't look like some airhead who was only in it for the money.
In reality, she was, but who didn't ever want money?
I guess you do "shopping" so you don't have to waste money, right?

Taehyung now dreaded hearing his phone buzz. In order to avoid that haunting panic that took over him whenever he heard that familiar chime, he chucked it into the nearby stream of the neighboring woods.
Bad mistake, bad mistake! Taehyung thought, looking at the neatly folded sheet of loose leaf which had just fallen out of his locker. In thick black marker, the words:
You can't get rid of me so easily Taehyung! You got one strike, you wouldn't like to see what I'm capable of when I'm angry, now would you?
x o x o
Oh lovely! She was pissed too! She didn't say it, but the blogger didn't need to.
He should've been in class right now, but he wasn't. Skipping theater, it was the most meaningless class to him. He already had enough drama in his life.
"Skipping again?"
Taehyung let out a slow exhale, carefully folding up his paper and slipping it in the pocket of his jacket. Closing the locker door gently, he came in eye contact with Jennie, a bored look on his face much in contrast with the smirk on hers.
"And do you have a problem?"
"No, it's just two times in one week. Don't make it a habit."
"I could say the same about you Miss Perfect."
"Enough with that nickname."
"I'll call you whatever I want."
"Go to hell."
"Again with the same comebacks? Try again." He leaned back against the lockers, arms crossed. Jennie rolled her eyes.
"Whatever. I don't have time to talk to you."
She started to walk away, Taehyung turned to watch her.
"But you started the conversation, now didn't you?"
He saw her pause in her tracks, red heels poised on the floors, before she turned to look at him. Taehyung stuck his hands in the pockets, walking past her, purposely brushing his shoulder past her.
"Hey, this conversation isn't over until I say it is." Jennie whispered, arm quickly pulling his back.
"And what makes you think you have the authority?"
"I'm Jennie Kim, you son of a bitch."
He smiled more, clicking his tongue. "Ah, don't call my mother a bitch. You've been gone for two years Jennie. Whatever power you thought you had over us Golden Boys back then is long gone."
He loosened her grip on him, continuing to walk away.
"Besides, my mother may be a bitch to you, but I could say the same about yourself, now couldn't I?"
He didn't need to look at her, Taehyung knew he had definitely pissed her off. Much to his intention.

Jisoo gulped, hearing the low moan come from the man currently in front of her, hand gripping on her waist, another feeling underneath her top, purplish-blue marks on her neck.
Another day of excessive foundation would have to suffice.
"A-About that calculus quiz..."
"Consider it aced Jisoo." He whispered, reaching for the buttons of her shirt. She backed away slowly, biting her lip.
"S-Sorry...my mom wants me back for dinner now..." She glanced at her phone.
"Jisoo, we said from 6 to 7."
"It's almost seven though, m-my mom, she really wants me back." She lied, running a hand through her hair in attempt to make it look neat again.
"Fine. Next week, same time."
"I don't think I'll be needing help anymore though—"
"I said 6 to 7 today Jisoo. Since you couldn't meet up with my expectations, next week same time, at my place. Then our deal is off, just like you want."
"Fine." Her voice came out surprisingly confident and stern. She didn't look him in the eye, trying to keep her head up as she took her backpack, quietly walking out of the room.
After making her way out of the math teacher's house, she pulled her hoodie over her, the large sweatshirt covering most of her uniform. Hood over her head, she tied the strings, eyes downcast and glued to her phone, in attempts not to draw attention as she headed towards the nearest bus station.
Old habits die hard, Jichu!
x o x o
She didn't realize that at the bus station, sitting not even a few feet away from her, was the guy she spent hours ogling on Instagram, liking posts and silently wishing he would spare her a glance in the hallways.
Jin always looked at Jisoo though, whenever she wasn't paying attention. And he was looking at her again, hoodie up much like herself with round glasses.
Not looking, just observing.
She was interesting, he noticed how she didn't get close with many people after Jennie had left. She had still been that popular girl, but no one bothered to come close to her. Or maybe it had been the other way around.
No one necessarily knew that Jin knew that Jisoo liked him. He didn't like to lead her on, it was always the position he ended up in.
But Jisoo might be the girl he would like to stop leading on, and maybe get the guts to go and talk to her, in maybe in first time in forever.
He only ever talked to Jennie, her friend. Jisoo always stood to her left, eyes darting around and trying to seem like she didn't care about anything in the world.
She did care. She cared way too much.
"Uh, Jisoo?"
She looked up, hands rubbing furiously at her cheeks before she turned to him.
Fuck, she had been crying. Jin tried to pretend he didn't notice, noticing how her eyes widened as she looked at him. Jin smiled gently, scooting over closer to her.
"Y-Yes?" She spoke soft, as if avoiding her voice from squeaking.
"I—uh, just wanted to say hi. A-Are you okay?"
"Yeah! Yeah, I'm great. Just allergies, I'm allergic to dust, yeah...that's why my eyes are watering." She lied, Jin saw right through but chose not to press.
"You're taking the bus? Why?" She asked, hands tucked under her thighs.
"Had some business down here, I didn't want to draw too much attention with my car. I'm guessing the same for you?"
"Yes actually." She smiled, it didn't seem forced. Jin smiled as well, turning to get up as the sound of a bus screeching to a halt in front of their bus station was heard.
Jisoo got up, pulling her large hoodie down to cover up the fact that she was still in her school uniform. Both of them got onto the bus, Jisoo was surprised when Jin sat down next to her once again. The bus was pretty much empty; aside for the few others who had been at the same stop as her, he could've sat anywhere else.
"So, you going to the Fall Formal?"
Jisoo's eyes widened once again, blinking frivolously before she slowly nodded. Jin restrained himself from chuckling, instead choosing to look away.
"I'm guessing you plan on asking Jennie? People were talking about it."
"Were they? I actually wasn't. She's not my type."
"Oh really?" Jisoo looked surprised, glancing up at him.
"Yeah."
"Who is your type then?"
Jin looked ahead, thinking for a moment. He couldn't look at her, in fear that his ears may turn pink.
"Someone smart and sweet. They should have a little confidence in themselves, and always strive to do better. A lot like myself actually."
Jisoo agreed with this, nodding slowly. "Well, is there anyone like that?"
"Yes, there is."
"Who?" Jisoo grinned, now excited to find out who had caught Seokjin's eye. She may have a crush on him, but she wasn't disappointed to find out that the girl wasn't her. She wouldn't allow herself to be pathetic like that.
Jin laughed. "I can't tell you that, now can I?"
"Sure you can!"
"Fine. I'll give you a hint. You know her."
"Are you sure I do?"
"Yes." Jin let out a small sigh, looking at Jisoo. She looked down at her hands, lips pursed and thinking.
When would she get the hint that it was her?
"Is it Lisa? She does fit all those traits..."
"No! We all know Lisa and Jungkook are a match made in heaven."
"What? No way."
"You weren't there at the diner the other day then. She practically seduced him and left him with a boner right then and there."
"No way." Jisoo coughed out a laugh, unable to process the words he had just uttered. Lisa and Jungkook? Lisa hated Jungkook with every bone and nerve in her body!
"I wouldn't blame him though, Jungkook has a thing for girls with a fiery attitude and ones who play hard-to-get."
"I guess you would know, you are his friend. I just never imagine Lisa would ever date someone like Jungkook. I don't think she likes him."
"I don't think he likes her either. But he's definitely intrigued not gonna' lie. I don't miss those looks he gives whenever your group walks by."
Jisoo smiled, again. How could her mood have done a 360 in such a short time? She had been on the verge of tears before getting on the bus, now she had an effortless smile on her face. All thanks to one person.
It's not like she had a crush on some cold hearted bad boy. She liked a decent guy, it was just too bad he didn't see her in the same light.
The bus came to a slow halt, nearing the station closest to her house. Jisoo got up, offering a small wave to Jin.
"It was nice talking to you Jin. I'll see you around?"
"Wait Jisoo."
She turned again, eyebrows quirked.
"Yes?"
"Do you, maybe, want to go to the Formal with me?"
She spared a glance at the bus driver, who didn't seem to mind waiting for her. "Wait, are you serious? What about your so-called 'crush'?"
"Does that matter right now?"
"I—uh, well...I'd love to go with you Jin." A small smile made its way across her face, before she turned and hopped off the bus. Jin smiled wider, head leaning against the seat in triumph.
Whatever the blogger from X's and O's had on him could wait. He didn't want his secrets to ruin what could possibly become a friendship between him and the dark haired girl with the dazzling smile who had just gotten off the bus.
