Sketchbook entry 1
I'm in an art class now and we had to get a sketchbook. We had the first sketchbook check due yesterday, and this time we could draw whatever. I took this as a chance to practice drawing things I should be practicing anyway. (Did that make sense?) I did a lot of eyes and hands.

Yes, I used MANY reference images and reference drawings. No way I would've been able to draw any of these without them. My search history on Pinterest now has a lot of "x drawing reference" searches.
Here are some of my favorites:
I'm a sucker for eyes like this, I'll admit it... so of course I had to draw them. I don't normally draw eyelashes because, as I mentioned in an earlier chapter, I find it hard to have eyelashes and still look masculine. I need to practice drawing them, so here. The top lid lashes look funny on the open eye, and I shouldn't have drawn the one furthest on the left because it makes it hard to tell the pupil from a distance. But the eyelashes on the left eye? 😳 Also the eyebrows look good too. It's a bit different from how I normally do them, but I might start drawing them like this.
Ears! I hate drawing all the swishies in the ears. The human ear actually looks really good. Nothing to complain about. The elf ear though... the ear swishies look kinda funky, but that'sunderstandable. I struggle drawing them in normal ears, and I've never drawn elongated ears. My DnD character that I want to draw is a half-elf, so I've at least got some practice in drawing them.
H A N D S. Still hate drawing them. The hand on the left is none other than Gojo. Of course I had to reference something. I saw a cosplay picture of someone doing this hand sign (aka his domain expansion) and tried to draw it. The pinky looks weird, I know. The peace sign hand looks fine, other than the middle finger and ring finger should be spaced out a bit more.
I draw too many masculine eyes and not enough feminine eyes. (I like drawing them more, what can I say?) I don't know much about shading with pencil, but I have it a shot and it turned out nice. The more I look at this eye, the more I think of Nezuko.
The neck looks funky and I can't figure out why. Don't look at it for too long. Looking back at it now, I think the eye is a little too big. This reminds me of Kageyama and that's all I was thinking of when drawing this.
It was actually a lot of fun to draw on paper, even if it was for a grade. After all of my digital art, there's just something so refreshing about drawing on paper for a change. I had white noise and rain noises on in the background to help me focus, and it was very relaxing.
