I made my plan, everything in my head is calculated. I can do this.

A female guard came every three days to help me take a bath, yes, as absurd as it sounds. This pack actually lets its prisoners practice proper hygiene. To make sure that I don't escape, my hands and feet are bound with very heavy chains, but not with silver thank goodness.

They would also inject something before we left the cell, it was to weaken me and my wolf.

But they were making huge mistakes. I could easily break these chains and whatever poison they used to weaken me didn't have much effect. Having lived my whole life as a rogue, I'm used to poison and I had a strong immunity against it.

Not to mention, I could heal myself.

I will have exactly fifteen minutes to knock the female guard without anyone noticing and the gate guards, steal the keys, find Leighton and get out of here. If I could do it in lesser time, it would be more perfect.

But expecting the worst, it'll take me fifteen minutes to execute my plan. After fifteen minutes, word would probably have gotten out that two prisoners have broken out.

I hear the door opening and footsteps nearing. Soon enough, I see the female guard. Two male guards stood behind her. She opened my cell gate, turned to the two and took the syringe and chains from them.

As she entered the cell, the two others made sure to close it before I tried to escape.

The female guard approached me, her eyes glassy and cold. She must've been used to this.

"Don't try to fight me again or else I will be using silver chains to tie you up." she said, but her words were so flat that it failed at sounding like a real threat.

"Is that a challenge?" I answer sarcastically, pretending like I was going to fight her back like I usually did. I can't have her suspecting me of anything.

She sighed and all of a sudden, she leap to me, her claws around my neck. I pretended to be shocked and tried to weakly remove her hand out of my neck. My wolf didn't understand that we were currently playing pretend and that I was only letting this lowly pack guard hurt me.

"Just be nice and I'll be nice." she said, her hand was already ready with the syringe and she didn't waste any more time to stick it on my left arm. I felt the liquid enter my system for a bit, a cold feeling invading inside of me. It had the littlest effect on me, but I dropped my shoulders in surrender and lowered my guards.

When she saw my hands falling on my sides, she cuffed them up as well as my legs. She put my arm around her and forced me to stand up, but since I was so good at acting, I pretended that I couldn't even have the strength to stand up properly so she carried me partially while I barely took my steps.

She nodded over to the guards and they opened the gates. The two helped her carry me to the bathrooms area and then left. She let me sit on a corner for a bit while she went to turn on the water.

While her back was turned against me, that's when I took my chance. I concealed my presence and quickly went to behind her, delivering a heavy chop over her shoulder where it would be lethal.

Immediately, she dropped to the ground. I kicked her a few more times, using more strength to make sure she wasn't going to stand up. When I was satisfied, I turned her so that she laid down with her back. She tried to stand up, but I was quick to step on her neck so she wouldn't dare to move or even scream. She looked so shocked and frightened, the poor little girl.

"Just be nice and I'll be nice." I said sarcastically and smiled sweetly.

I bent down and searched her guard jacket. I saw a few more syringes and took one, injecting her with the same poison she's been feeding me. Slowly, her body slumped, weakening her system.

"No hard feelings, I'm only returning your very kind favour." I said as I searched her jacket some more.

13 minutes

I found the keys that would open the first gate door. I was going to leave the female guard there on the floor to sleep, but I remembered something.

I went back and have her sit up beneath the shower. I opened the water so the shower started running.

I smiled at her again as I continued to walk away. "Have a nice bath."

I moved as stealthy as possible so the guards outside cannot catch my scent. I had already concealed my presence and scent, but I only had few energy left to keep it up. I haven't been in the very condition here, you see.

I saw the first gate door, the one you had to enter in to before my cell and the other empty cells in this area. I took a moment to smell how many wolves were outside and to locate Leighton.

Thankfully, a rogue's smell and the pack wolves were different so I could whiff Leighton very easily.

11 minutes

There were three guards outside, they were chatting and laughing. I used the key to open the door from inside. I sense that the three didn't tense up so they must've not thought much of it.

I took a deep breath as I opened the door. It was only when I ran behind the two guards who helped the female guard that they the three guards outside notice me. They acted fast, but I was faster. I jumped and kicked one of them by the side of their face so he was immediately taken down.

The other one, I kicked so hard by the stomach to the ground, the impact was strong and he coughed blood and laid knocked off on the ground.

The last one jumped behind me as I was still taking care of the second one, but before he could even touch me, I turned around and caught his hand. He looked so surprised that it made me smile. I twisted his arm and before he could scream in pain, I punched his face, easily taking him down.

I quickly looked who had the keys and when I found it, I immediately took them away.

8 minutes

I followed Leighton's scent at the left hallway. I turned another left and then right. I jumped over the stairs and at the bottom, turned right where there was a series of cells. I looked at one by one for Leighton and finally found him at the very last cell.

He was surprised to see me, but before he could speak, I shushed him and tried my luck with the keys.

"M-Madie! Thank goodness, you're safe!" he whispered as he waited for me to open the gate. Third time's a charm because the door opened by then. "I missed you so much Maddie, I was so worried." he started and hugged me.

I embraced him back, but quickly pulled away. "Me too, Leighton, but we need to get out of here quick. I found a way to escape, let's go." I said, holding his hand.

He nodded and we started running. I led him back to my cell. We passed by the three guards that I fought and passed over them. Tsk, they're on the way.

We even passed by the room where the water was still running and the female guard was still taking a bath.

5 minutes

I led us both to my cell where I looked up the window. It was barred with metals, but I could break them easily.

I jumped up, bending the metals and winced when I noticed that they were silver and not regular metal.

But not minding the pain, I mustered the most strength that I could get and kicked over the silver metal as strong as I could. Thankfully, they broke off and created enough space for me and Leighton to fit in.

I was the first to get out and Leighton jumped and got out too. It must've been the afternoon already because the sun was high up the sky. We didn't waste any more time and started running from the building as far as we could.

3 minutes

Leighton and I ran as our lives depended on it. I could see the barrier, but it was still a few distance away. Leighton was starting to trip.

"Keep running, Leighton, we're almost there. We just need to get past the barrier." I assured him. It must've worked because he started to run even faster.

And then I smell him.

Shoot, shoot, not him.

Not that dangerous pack wolf. I ran even faster, the barrier was almost there.

I could smell different scents coming after us very quickly, but we still had some distance between us.

But him, he was getting closer and closer.

At this rate, he'll catch up with us. It doesn't help that I'm not on my top speed, because my body has been weaker from my exhaustion after being imprisoned for more than two weeks, fighting with the guards, trying to break the silver bars and whatnot.

I forced myself to run faster though.

The barrier was finally in sight. I had gathered the strength to open it even though I wasn't the one who casted the barrier. I was especially good with barriers, but this pack's barrier was strong and forcibly opening it would weaken me even more.

I made the mistake of looking behind me and saw that the dangerous man was only a few minutes away from catching up to us.

"Leighton, run and don't look behind! Go find the others, I'll be right behind you." I screamed as I gather the strength that I had left to open the barrier. The last part was a lie though and Leighton must've known it too because he turned back for a bit, hesitating. "Go!" I screamed. He bit his lip, a tear falling from his eyes as he ran outside the pack borders.

I saw him getting out and I tried to make it too.

I was one step from stepping out the border, but strong arms wrapped around my waist and I was pinned to the ground.

An electric shock surged through me when he touched me. It was so sudden and felt so shocking that it caught me by surprise, but then the impact of being thrown to the ground hit.

I winced at the pain. I was completely and utterly drained, but I tried to open my eyes.

Standing over me was the dangerous man. In his eyes, a storm was brewing as he glared at me dangerously.

Only one entered in my mind: danger.
