#4: Training Camp

The next day, Haneul went to run with the boys after receiving practice. It was hot outside, so she made a knot on her t-shirt, careful not to show any scars. Haneul stood at the end of the line and ended up running with both Ennoshita and Daichi. Out infront, she could see Hinata and Kageyama racing each other, and Hinata running off. "I'll go get him," Haneul said to Daichi, running off after the ginger.

After several minutes, she finally found him, speaking to another boy. "H-Hinata-kun..." Haneul called softly, and he noticed, turning around with a smile. "Ah! Kazama-chan~! This is Kenma, he also plays volleyball. Oh, and he's lost." Haneul sighed as Kenma bowed his head, and she bowed back. "I, um, I-I like your hair," she said, walking closer.

Haneul stands aside Hinata, shuffling with the ends of her shirt while the ginger haired boy spoke to Kenma. "I-Is your team strong?" Haneul asked, apologizing for butting in. Kenma blushed and told her not to worry, and that he thought it was.

Before Kenma could speak about his school, another boy approached them. Haneul scanned him from afar, and he glared at her a little, causing her to cower behind Hinata. "I'll see you guys later," Kenma said, waving goodbye. 'Later?' Haneul thought, but pushed the thought to the back of her head when she remembered why they were there. "Hi-Hinata-kun! We need to get back!" "Hai!"

Later that night, Haneul got another call from her uncle after she showered. She sighed, exiting the bathroom and taking the call, walking around the hall. "Why aren't you home yet?!" Her une screamed through the phone, causing her to move it away from her ear. She sat in a bench in the hallway and spoke, "Uncle, I'm at camp, remember? I won't be home in a few days-" "I CALLED YOU YESTERDAY AND YOU DIDN'T COME HOME."

After a few insults and failed attempts at trying to get him to listen, Haneul ended the call abruptly. She inhaled deeply, trying her best not to cry. She repeated in her head how she didn't have to show this part of her life to anyone, and maintain it a secret until she graduated.

With one last breath, she made herself smile and walked to the second year room, where everyone was, just talking. She sat, talking with Ennoshita, Kinoshita and Narita, and genuinely forgot about the conversation she had. While they spoke, she didn't notice when Hinata laid his head on her lap, until Kageyama yelled at him.

"Hinata! Don't be a pervert!" Everyone turned to look, but he just stuck out his tongue at Kageyama. "I don't mind," Haneul smiled, placing a hand on his hair and moving it along. When it was curfew, she looked down to see him asleep. Haneul blushed a deep red and motioned to the closest person, which was Asahi, to help her. He carried Hinata to the first year room while she followed behind him.

"Thank you, Azumane-san," Haneul whispered, tucking in Hinata. "It's not a problem," he smiled, "You're really nice, Kazama-chan." Haneul smiled back at him, and he soon left. She turned off the lights in the room once everyone was ready, and crept onto her mattress. Our small brunette then entered a restless sleep.

"Listen up! I'm going to announce the starting lineup for the Nekoma game!" Keishin yelled, standing by the white board. In the distraction, a ball Sugawara had tossed ended up hitting Haneul in the head. "I'm so sorry, kohai!" The senior exclaimed with worry, but she said she was fine. They huddled around their coach, ready for the news. Haneul obviously had no problem. She knew she wasn't going to be picked for the starting lineup. Her lack in experience was enough evidence.

Keishin gave them one last look as he wrote everything in the white board. Kageyama was going to be the setter, and Nishinoya was going to be the Libero. Asahi, Daichi, Hinata, Tanaka and Kei were on the lineup as well. Haneul smiled and turned to congratulate her senpai, who blushed at her shy smile.

The rest of the day, she finished the profile for the boys on her notebook. It contained their health statuses and their athletic statistics, as well as their individual practice comments. "You're so neat, Kazama-chan," Kiyoko said as she overlooked her notes. Haneul blushed. "T-thank you!"

The next day, Haneul went with Kiyoko to pick up their uniforms early in the morning. Nishinoya and Tanaka were a little upset their "muses" were going to be gone the whole morning, but cheered up when Haneul told them she'd make them dessert again today.

When they came back, Kiyoko carried one box while Haneul carried the other. Kei saw her struggling up the stairs with it, so he took it from her without saying anything and set it aside Kiyoko's. Haneul smiled at him and mouthed him a 'thank you', knowing he had a 'reputation' to maintain, and stood with Kiyoko to hand the uniforms out.

Haneul looked at the list in her hand, calmly taking the right sized shirt and shorts, and handing them out. Haneul hands them out, finally handing Kei and Tadashi's. "Wahh! You guys look so cool!" Haneul exclaimed, clinging to her clipboard. Her actions made everyone blush, with Takeda smiling. It was the first interaction she had done without being shy around them.

Haneul looks back down at her clipboard, and smiles. "That's all," she said, closing her empty box. "Actually, Kazama-chan," Kiyoko said, causing the brunette to turn around to find her holding out another uniform. "This one is yours." Haneul took the uniform from her in slight disbelief. "R-really?" Kiyoko smiled at her and nodded. She looked around, and all the members were also smiling at her.

"I talked to the school board and e-mailed the Japanese Association of Volleyball. You're officially a member of Karasuno's Boys' Volleyball Team, Kazama-chan!" Takeda announced. Haneul smiled widely and thanked everyone with a bow. She tried on her uniform over her current clothes, and Nishinoya smiled. "We have a cute Libero on our team now!" He exclaimed, high-fiving Tanaka.

Later that evening, Haneul had to cook dinner, because Kiyoko had things to take care of at home, so she struggled a bit. Takeda had gone to buy some needed supplies for tomorrow, since they were going to provide lunch for the Nekoma team, so Haneul was in serious trouble.

Being born in America with a Korean mom, most of the dishes she ate and learned to cook at a young age were Korean dishes, so she didn't know what to cook. Making up her mind, she decided to cook Korean dishes instead, and hoped the team would like them. After an hour and a half, the team came inside the kitchen with Takeda and Keishin.

She had set up the table already, and was completing dessert when they all sat at the table. "Oh! Um," everyone looked at her as they sat on the table, and she brought the last side dish to them. "I have to apologize," she started, "I-I don't know how to, um, cook proper Japanese food... So I, uh, made Korean dishes instead. I hope it's to everyone's liking..." The boys all smiled at her, taking their seats.

"OUR DEAR KOHAI MADE US FOOD TODAY SO EVERYONE EAT!" exclaimed Tanaka and Nishinoya, proceeding to start eating. Haneul chuckled a little and served them drinks before sitting down herself. "Some of the dishes are spicy," Haneul warned, taking a bite of spicy tofu.

"Woah, this is so good," Hinata said between bites. "Yeah, what is this, Kazama-chan?" Asked Tadashi, motioning to one of the plates. "Gochujang," Haneul started, gaining weird looks from the team, "Mayo and tuna patties." "And this?" Asahi motioned to another plate. "Chamchijeon. They're tuna pancakes."

"And the main dish?" Asked Keishin, looking weirdly at his food. Haneul chuckled. "It's named Bibimbap. It is a bowl of mixed rice, namul, which are seasoned and sautéed vegetables, mushrooms, beef, soy sauce, gochujang, which is chili pepper paste, and a fried egg," she explained. Everyone ate contently, and thanked her for the food.

Since the members had all showered before eating, she had the bathroom to herself while the others cleaned up. This time, she didn't cry in the shower. She was happy the bruises kn her abdomen had completely gone away by now, and proceeded to wash her hair and braid it to go to sleep.

Before doing so, she did her normal routine and checked in on everyone. With the third years, Asahi was so tired he fell asleep with his ponytail on, so she gently took it off for him and placed it over his bag. With the second years, she tucked in Nishinoya and Tanaka, and put Ennoshita's phone with his things, since he fell asleep with it in hand.

When she got to the first year room, Kei closed his eyes immediately, thinking it was Daichi checking in on them, so Haneul didn't notice he was still awake. He heard her sigh, and some shuffling. Opening one eye, Kei saw as Haneul fixed Hinata's sleeping position and tucked him in. She did the same for Tadashi, and took Kageyama's phone from him. When she turned, he closed his eyes again, and felt his headphones being gently taken away from his head.

Haneul stopped the music from playing, and placed his things over his bag, then took off his glasses and placed them on the nearby table. Finally, the green eyed girl went to bed. Kei was at a loss for words. She was the one that kept taking off his things when he fell asleep! Why would she do that? The sour boy turned and went to sleep, thinking about the small Libero.
