A five minute bus ride later, Haneul and Tadashi found themselves at the gates of Fukurodani High School. They were dressed in their own track suits, with Haneul's being white and blue, along with a purple scarf, and Tadashi's being black and green. Like he had said, Akaashi was waiting for them by the entrance, and Haneul smiled at him. "Hi! Thank you for having us," Tadashi said, bowing at him a bit. They followed the setter over to their gym, where the team was already waiting for them. "Thank you for having us!" the duo exclaimed and bowed, and the team smiled at them. 

They practiced with the team for a while, since they had to leave before it got dark. Tadashi practiced his serves almost non stop, while Akaashi gave Haneul some pointers on setting. As much as she wanted to practice her receives, she couldn't, since her wounds from Shiratorizawa were still healing. "Woah, Ushiwaka went real hard on you," said Komi, the team's setter. Haneul nodded, bandaging up her wounds to leave with Tadashi back to the HQ. Before leaving, they thanked the team once again, telling Bokuto and Akaashi that they'll tell them when they'll be back again, since their actual training starts tomorrow.

It was 2am, and the shy duo couldn't sleep. Tadashi was laying on his bed, scrolling through Pinterest while his left leg hung off the side of the bed, and Haneul was laying face down, propping her head with her pillow and scrolling through YouTube. "Hey, Hanie... Do you think the styling room is open right now?" the green haired boy asked, only for him to hear her shuffle down on her bed, mumbling, "Ari said it's always open. Why? Do you want me to give you a haircut?" Tadashi laughed, moving to peek his head upside down to show her a picture on his phone. 

Haneul squinted her eyes a bit at the brightness, only to see the a picture of a girl with short two-toned hair. "Ooh, that's pretty... I can do that for you." He watched as the brunette sat up and took the phone from him. "Yeah, I really want that now. And my hair is long enough to tie as a ponytail! I saw some pictures of guys with that and it looked really good," Tadashi mentioned as he hopped down from the bed. 

Both in sweatpants and t-shirts, the duo put on their shoes and headed down to the styling room. Surprisingly, there were many other contestants up and around at this hour, hanging around the dance rooms and cafeteria. There were around three other people in the styling room, but they ignored the duo as they entered. Paparazzi by Kim Dracula was faintly playing in the background as well, along with other similar rock songs. "Go sit down while I make the bleach mix," Haneul said to him, going over to where the cosmetics were. 

When she got back, Tadashi had brushed his hair already and was looking at his phone. "Turns out that a few of the members from the Powerhouses group chat are online," the boy said as Haneul began to part his hair in order to properly bleach it. "Do a stream and let them join in!" Haneul chirped, and he did as the female said, propping his phone on the vanity and against a shampoo bottle. As Haneul began to apply the bleach, Hinata and Kageyama joined in the stream. 

They wondered what they were doing, with Tadashi explaining that Haneul was bleaching part of Tadashi's hair. They talked for a bit, and little by little others joined, like Kenma, Bokuto, Ennoshita, Tanaka, Nanasawa from Ubugawa and Chigaya from Shinzen. When she covered Tadashi's hair in aluminum foil, Haneul noticed that there was some bleach left in the bowl, and after looking at it for two minutes, she decided to bleach her bangs. "Tsukishima is going to be so surprised," Hinata laughed in the call, with Tadashi returning the laugh, "Most likely, yeah."

After a few minutes, Tadashi took his phone while Haneul washed his hair. "Oh! Guys! We need your help," Tadashi said into the stream, "We need Instagram follows and to gain an audience. Can you tell the teams to follow us if you can?" "Yeah, sure! Send it in the chat," Nanasawa said, and Tadashi sent both their user names into the chat. After rinsing Tadashi, Haneul rinsed her own hair and put a towel wrap on her head, proceeding to blow dry Tadashi's hair. Nishinoya had entered the stream, and out of nowhere yelled, "DO MY HAIR NEXT TIME, HA-CHAN!" 

This caused everyone to laugh, and so she said, "Of course, Yuu-senpai." When she was done with Tadashi's hair, she twirled his chair for their camera audience, and then gave him a mirror so he could see. "Woah, I love this, Ha-chan!" She smiled at him, taking a hair tie from the table and making a small ponytail on his upper part of his hair. Then, she dried her own hair, loving her new blonde strands. "Let's hang up, and go to sleep. I'm tired now," the brunette yawned, and Tadashi nodded. They bid farewell to their friends, hanging up the call and going back up to their room.

The next morning at their reunion, everyone was surprised at their new image change. "Wow, with this new look, you both fit right in with the concept for the first stage," Ari said, turning on the projector, only for the words "Girl Crush / Bad Boy" to appear in bright red. Voyage and Cosmic Girls started loudly cheering, and Haneul joined in later. Ari explained, specifically for Tadashi, that Girl Crush and Bad Boy concepts were specifically dark and edgy concepts, which means that the performers  need to be both sexy and cool in order to pull it off. "You can make as many songs as you want, as long as everyone participates. You can also keep your groups or just mix up. Mixing up is a bit better," their mentor said. 

When the meeting ended, the groups were left to work for their performance for the next night. Hideyoshi explained to the newbie duo that this concept was their specialty, and that it'd be better to split into two songs: boys and girls. Michi agreed with him, throwing in the idea of performing "NO" by CLC. "It's fine with me, I have no problem with this concept, but Hanie is pretty shy-" "Are you kidding? I love this concept!" Everyone looked at her, seeing her green eyes shine. "Let me explain. I might be super shy in person, but I know I have stage presence. I love to perform, and a concept won't stop me from doing so."

After this, they then decided to just do three songs instead. The opening number would be the boys with "Believer" by Imagine Dragons, then the girls would continue with "Like That" by Doja Cat, and then Tadashi and Haneul would do "Bad Romance" by Halestorm. "Can you reach those notes, Yamaguchi?" asked Akihiko, and the boy slowly nodded, listening to the song with one earphone while Haneul had the other.

During the whole day, Haneul spent it between the dance practice room and the recording room, practicing both the songs with Cosmic Girls and the one with Tadashi. She hated that they only had one day and a half to work with everything, but Ari said this was in order to see how well they performed under pressure. During a dance practice with Tadashi at around 6pm, they got a facetime call from the team, so Haneul picked up and called for a break. They were both sweaty and panting, so it was a surprise for the team when they saw them like that.

They wanted to see how everything was going, but Haneul said they didn't get to have an 'early access' to content and later hung up. At the end of the practice, Tadashi took pictures of her in the "MAPS ENT" sign in the room, and she did the same to him, later posting it on Instagram, only for them to gain a bunch of followers and good luck messages for the upcoming competition. 

Haneul went to shower later on, meeting Tadashi in the cafeteria for dinner. While she walked, she noticed other people were staring at her weird, sitting down with her team. "What's with the stares?" she asked the team, only for Kichiro to momentarily choke. "You don't know?! Your post was on Pitch Entertainment's story!" he exclaimed, shuffling to look for his phone. However, Haruka shoved her phone into Haneul's hands, for her to see the story, and on the next tab, Tadashi's post was there too. When the day was over, Haneul and Tadashi went to bed, finally sleeping for the whole night.

The next morning was full of chaos. Everyone was going around doing last minute tune ups on their outfits, some hair dye disaster was going on in the styling room, and mostly everyone was just practicing non stop. Except for Team Clover. Ari had them doing meditation exercises in their meting room. "Um, Ari-san, aren't we supposed to be practicing-" "You practiced enough, Kazumi. If you don't meditate, your anxiety will take over you later during the performance. Now, I want you to go eat lunch, try on your outfits and take a nap. I want to see all twelve of you at 6pm in makeup, fully dressed. Kay?" Everyone nodded at Ari, not wanting to argue with her or anything.

When their meditation time ended, they went over to find the cafeteria pretty empty, with some people just putting food in foam plates in order to get them to their members. "Someone's gonna throw up if they dance and eat at the same time," Yori mentioned, causing them to chuckle and get their food. When they were done, they went over to the Costume Department, seeing tailors running up and around making last minute alterations to costumes. Since Hideyoshi was deemed the leader of the group, he had to sign to receive the boxes of clothes, and he thanked the employee, who was waiting for them to try them on. 

Instead of asking to make alterations, Yasuko asked the employee to take pictures of them in their outfits, taking him off guard. Each of the girls had a yellow plaid item. Michi had a yellow plaid skirt with a black blouse, Haruka had a plaid yellow blouse with a black skirt, Kazumi had plaid shorts with a black tank, Yasuko had plaid cargo pants along with suspenders and a crop top, and Haneul had a sort of plaid dress, wearing a black dress underneath for her and Tadashi's bit, and all of them had black boots and chains as accessories. 

Meanwhile, Hideyoshi wore a striped suit with a white under shirt, Yori wore the same striped pants but with a black leather jacket, Akihiko had red pants with suspenders and a white t-shirt, Kichiro had a red and black stripped sweater with jeans, Masami had a plaid red and black jacket with a white t-shirt and jeans, Hikaru had a black bomber jacket a white t-shirt and ripped jeans, and Tadashi had a black jacket with a black dress shirt and black jeans. They all as well had chains. Afterwards, they each went into their dorms and took naps to relax.

"Move your leg, Hinata!" "You move your leg!" The captain of the group, whom was behind the duo, told them to knock it off, and that the show was starting. Keishin was holding a watch party in his and Haneul's home so her friends could watch the transmission together, having the whole Karasuno Team there, along with Iwaizumi, Oikawa and Angelina from Aoba Johsai, Aone from Date Tech and Shimada and Takinoue, along with his parents. He was definitely beginning to regret it. "Keishin! It's starting!" Shimada exclaimed, patting the seat aside him. He looked over at Kei, whom was angrily staring at the TV, being aside the arguing duo. 

The show soon started, with the MC introducing the judges and explaining the rules. He then began to introduce the teams by calling them on stage. "Our first team is composed by Chiba's sensational boy group, Voyage!" the boys excitedly walked onto the stage as the crowd cheered. "As well, we have the latest Interhigh's performers, Cosmic Girls from Kyoto!" The girls followed on stage, blowing kisses to the audience and standing right aside the group of boys. "AH!! Here they come!!" Hinata exclaimed, jumping up and down on his seat.

"And finally, this rookie duo from Miyagi that is quickly winning over the audience, Devoted Sky!" Most everyone was awestruck watching the duo confidently walk onto stage in those bold outfits and bleached hair, not to mention it was VERY noticeable that Yamaguchi was wearing makeup. "When did they bleach their hair?!" Keishin laughed at Daichi's outburst, "Atta girl. She got that from me." "She did not," Takinoue laughed, with dad Ukai joining in. "They look so cool!" Yachi and Hinata exclaimed.

"Definetly, Haneul can pull off anything," Angelina commented, leaning back on her hands. Aone nodded at the brunette's remark. "Yeah! Revelry!" Sugawara exclaimed, being told off by Daichi as well. After they introduced all the other groups, they revealed the night's theme, which was "Girl Crush / Bad boy", causing doubt to pop up in everyone's head. "Wait, but Kazama-chan is really shy, right?" Oikawa asked what everyone was thinking, with Angelina chuckling. "You guys, just watch."

The first team on stage was Team Diamond, which chose mainstream j-pop songs people could sing to, the second team, Team Spade, had a bit more of stage presence, but they did pretty unknown songs. The third ones, Team Heart, were really good, and they had a band number, gaining quite the few applauds. Finally, it was Team Clover's turn, and the room went into complete silence.

The music started, and the first one to sing was Kichiro, revealing it was Believer by Imagine Dragons. They started to cheer as Tadashi begun to sing the chorus. "The mans' got pipes!" Tanaka exclaimed, gaining a nod from Nishinoya. The members were all dancing and singing, only for the music to blend with Doja Cat's "Like That". The boys bunched up in the middle, and later cat walked to the back, blending into background dancers for the girls. The stage lights blended to pink and purple, mixing in with their yellow plaid. 

"Ha-chan looks so badass!" Nishinoya said as the camera landed on her, dancing in the group. Then, they all had to swallow their tongues as Haneul began her first verse in the song. "Tha-tha-tha-tha-tha-that's my shit // That's my wave // Do it like that and I'll repay it // Don't be scared, I ain't afraid // Just like that, come my way // That's my shit, that's my wave // Do it like that and I'll repay it // Don't be scared, I ain't afraid // Just like that, come my way." Kei was obviously blushing at his girlfriend's sudden confidence boost and girl crush look, since she looked completely edgy and different. This was a completely different side from her cutesy shy self.

Then came the peak of their performance. The girls merged with the boys dancing in the background, and during the instrumental, Haneul took off her yellow plaid dress, revealing a black dress with a harness, and Tadashi threw his jacket off stage. The music changes and the duo begin their rocking performance of Bad Romance. "Woah, woah, caught in a bad romance!" they finished their act, gaining everyone's applauds and kudos, and even the judges stood up from their seats to clap.

"That was so badass," Tanaka said, awestruck. Everyone in the room clapped, while Angelina said, "That's my BFF!" The MC then called everyone on stage, and went to show their initial auditions one by one, with the Devoted Sky duet being the last shown. "What?! That is so wholesome! But THIS!?" Ennoshita exclaimed, making everyone laugh. "They have versatility," Kei mentioned, and Keishin nodded, "Who knew they were so talented?" At the end of the night, they gave the team's current scores, turning out that Team Clover was in first place.

This was just the beginning of a series of competitions, but everyone was already fired up, content that the duo was doing their best to represent Miyagi the way they were going to.
