PAPA

Hello everyone! thought to post a long part......Enjoy!!

This time after so long Anubhav took the lead, he moved ahead to put his hand on Mahipal's shoulders stopping him. They had an eye lock, "Sir, in most of the problems, we have the solution right in front of our eyes it's just that we could not be able to see it. If such were the case then it's better to take a step backward and reanalyze everything. So, it's a request, sit down share your and your daughter's story with us you will not only find your way but also will feel much lighter." He nodded and all of them settled down there on the floor only outside her room in a circle where almost everyone's back was supporting with sofas lying behind them.

"We landlords used to be in seriously dangerous enmity all our lives and in one such unfortunate incident, I and my first wife had lost our 12-year-old daughter Raima. They shot her in her head because I had snatched that piece of land that was rightfully belong to me in the first place. At that time I did not owe such power as of now. Her death sent my wife into serious mental trauma. And like all other men, I chose to handle my grievances by turning myself into a stone-hearted angry lion. I had snatched all my lands from them on gunpoint and declare myself as the head of this village. People were so much scared of my anger that they stayed 100 feet away from me. Most villagers had lost their livestock and got their fields ruined because I had never stopped my racing jeep for any of them ever when they crossed the road. One such day, my jeep was moving on that mud path between the fields when a dozen of sheep were crossing the road. As usual, I had not stopped it neither lessened its pace and a number of them flew away dead as I hit them. It was only, the only earning source of a poor old man. He was devastated. I had seen his shocked and traumatized face but who cares my wounds are much bigger than anyone else. I raced my car away but that day my life changed when suddenly out of somewhere, someone jumped at the roof of my jeep causing me to apply breaks. In a full rage, I stepped down ready to finish the one who dared to do that but it was a 12-year-old girl. I was shocked I had never seen any woman with such daring skills in my whole life let alone a little girl. At that time she had wrapped her face in her scarf, she flipped her body and landed right in front of me. "Who are you? Show me your face?" I roared in my usual attitude. "I don't listen to a beast like you." she retorted with a fit of sharp but soul-seething anger in her voice. Bravely she held my hand and dragged me to that old man and I was just moving with her as if in a trance. She showed me that old man and his mourn over his loss and started lecturing me about his needs and his loss, her voice was filled with anger and pain of that old man who was just trying to stop her because he knows me too well, but she had not listened to him." He chuckled remembering his and his daughter's first meet. "That means our madam sir is giving lectures since childhood," Karishma added and everyone shared a peal of light laughter.

"She ordered me to compensate his loss and I did listen to her order.....perhaps for the first time in my whole life I had been listening to someone else's order. That poor old man was as much shocked as I was by my own action. However, he thanked me and Haseena a hundred times and left from there. 'Now I had rectified my mistake right that means I am a human right so show me your face.' I asked her but she ignored me and started moving away, 'that means you are afraid of me.' I called from behind. She turned around removed her scarf with her left hand and said, 'I am Haseena Malik daughter of Shehzad Malik and I am not afraid of anyone especially not a beast like you. I am not like the people around you who were afraid to show you your true face.' She said and left from there without having a single hint of any kind of fear in her voice. And there I was standing not only mesmerized by her innocent beauty but her bravery and skills. After Raima's death, that day I once again felt alive. I was happy and smiling like a child who had regained her favorite lost toy. Honestly, she becomes my daughter that very first day." He was lost in her daughter's childhood while Anubhav and Karishma were reliving their own as they patted each other's hand acknowledging it. "Sir, what happened next? How you managed to win her heart?" Santosh asked.

Mahipal laughed, "Win her heart? Really? Beta I don't know until a few moments ago that she considered me her father. With all the good qualities she has, she had a very bad habit that she never shares her heart with anyone and one literally needs to be a spy to understand her issue if intended to help her." He replied Santosh and Anubhav and Karishma looked at each other as something transpired between them. "Anyways, after meeting her first thing I did was to order my men to get all information about her, who is she? Where she lives? And where had she come from? Everything. What I found out had made me realize that I was weaker than a 12-year-old because what I had gone through was nothing in comparison to what she was going through and stills she behaved far more wisely and maturely than me." "What had you found out sir?" cheetah asked him. "That she was a 12-year-old girl and had come from Delhi after her father's demise who was a police officer and died at a Police encounter. She was living in an old small mud house the only asset she inherited from her maternal grandparents, with her mother who was suffering from T.B. As they had no source of income so she worked as a gardener in the village only in the morning while in the evening she was studying in night school which government had been conducting in its schools but it was situated crossing two villages and she daily covers such a long-distance which include a dangerous forest full of wild animals. Not only this she used to study in a private English medium school in Delhi and had lived a decent life until her father died. I felt so low on myself when I realized that she had lost her everything and was about to lose her mother, her only family too but still she was strong, courageous, in her senses fighting for her own and other's survival too." Every eye was wet knowing how much she had gone through and she never complained.

"I decided that I will change myself. From that day I started many social service organizations in my village, many poor people were taking benefits from it making their lives less difficult but my Haseena's was full of principles, her self-respect and dignity never allowed her to take what is not hers. I had tried to help her directly many times but every time she used to refuse me, I even tried making her understand that her mother needs to get good treatment otherwise it could be risky for her life but she said, 'I had full confidence in my God, He won't let me down and as far as my mother's health is concerned she will work harder and will get her treated by her own earnings.'" Mahipal paused and there was a complete silence which was broken by her Ammi, "she had even stopped going to school and started working day and night, she used to do different odd jobs, from cleaning, mopping in people's house to teaching weak students of village and gardening. She did more than she could do at such a tender age but she never begs anyone. Today also when I remembered those days my body gets numb." She shared her heart and tears rolled down her eyes but she wiped it away and added, "even in those tough times, she never loses hope, never for once she cried and felt defeated of circumstances instead she used to always wipe my tears whenever I get weak.........but in all this, my daughter lost her precious days of childhood and gets mature much earlier than her age and it was perhaps the only thing I repent in my life." Karishma stood up and consoled ammi by putting her hands on her shoulders however her own mind was occupied with some other thoughts, "No matter how much strong one is, one always yearn for a shoulder on which she could cry out her pain......does she ever get that shoulder?"

"Then what had you done? Had you find a way to convince her or you let her ruin her life?" Anubhav asked Mahipal. "When all my attempts went in vain, I met her mother to ask her only one question that why her daughter is so stubborn. She then told me that she is just like her father and no matter what life throws upon her she will never sacrifice her principles which she had learned from her father. She told me that if I really wanted to help her then I must have constructed a way that would not compromise her principles if not then I just left them alone with their struggles. I had started considering Haseena my own daughter long ago and I pledged to myself no matter what I will help her through her life. I had arranged an all-around competition for all the children of my villages from ages 10-15 and put a lifetime scholarship for their studies and expenses on the first price. I knew that from the start only that no one from this village could compete for her skills and as expected Haseena had won. Scholarship had covered all her expenses including her mother's treatment. Things started improving for her, she had started going to school like normal children and her mother also recovered. I and Haseena were now good friends, I had made her mother my sister. Once I talked Haseena about my wife from that day she started visiting Haveli and like some miracle my wife started recovering. Haseena had cured her trauma with her love and patience and she had grown a bond with her too. Haseena had started growing up from a child to a young beautiful adult of 16. With growing age not only her intelligence, bravery, and her passion towards social services increased but also her beauty and in no time she came under the radar of many spoilt brats of the town." He paused as he was feeling enraged thinking about what happened next his eyes met with her ammi and she shook her head in no, stopping him from revealing that to them and he accepted her request while all this was noticed by Anubhav and Karishma who looked at each other realizing Mahipal had slid some secrets under the cover.

"Some spoilt brats of the village used to tease her and it enraged me as much as a father would get when news reached my ears. I once again lost control over myself and I would have buried them alive in the ground if Haseena had not come in between. She stopped me and we had a similar argument. She wanted me to not do anything against law and I wanted to protect her even if it cost my life. Then thanks to my wife, she proposed something which solved the issue. She asked me to adopt Haseena legally and entitled her as choti Sarkar- which could only be given to my daughter and move her and her mother which means my foster sister to Haveli forever. We elders agree to it because that was the only way to ensure her lifelong safety and security but Haseena refused. She doesn't want to take anything which does not belong to her. Even after her ammi and my wife's continuous attempts she had not agreed and I know like this she would never because it was against his father's teachings and as much as I love her she had not given me a father's place to her but I had no time to win her heart as a father, I need to secure her life as soon as possible so I made a deal with her. I proposed to her that if she wants me not to kill them and never take the law into my hands then she will have to accept the title of choti Sarkar and be my legally adopted daughter and she agreed. I still remember her words, "Okay uncle! I am accepting you as my legal guardian and to be choti- Sarkar. From this day onwards I will not do anything without your permission and will fulfill all my responsibilities as your daughter but I need you to give me two promises. First, you will never stop me from achieving my dream to be a Police officer, and secondly, you will never ever do anything against law from this day onwards." I promised her both the things and she accepted ..........me as her father....." he stopped as something struck him hard.

"You were right Anubhav....I had broken my promise not her. She could never see me doing anything against law since her childhood and especially now when she is a Police officer. She always loved me to an extent that she wanted me and herself to be saved from the ultimate pain of being arrested by her if I commit a crime because she will never compromise her principles......Oh my God!!! She said those words only to save me......" he realized and was feeling guilty. Along with him, everyone has tears started streaming down the cheeks. "She had accepted me as her father long ago.......and I could never realize that......I always thought it to be a relationship of respect and gratitude, But then why she had never confessed me that I am a father to her......." He asked. "Perhaps because she thought you would understand this time too as you had always understood her problems without the need of her to say." Santosh replied to him.

They were all in their own thoughts when suddenly they heard screams, "Ammi!!! Where are you? Uncle!!!!!!" it was her loud trembling voice. "Oh, I accidently switch off lights......." Her mother said realizing her fault. "What? You know she is afraid of darkness....it could even trigger......" but Karishma and Anubhav did not wait for him to complete. They ran towards her room followed by Mahipal and everyone else. "Haseena ji!!!" Anubhav was about to enter but she stopped him, "no, bhayya! I think Mahipal sir should go to her now." he nodded and moved aside for him to enter. He enters to see her cuddled to herself in a corner clutching bed sheets tightly, "Uncle!!!" she saw him and at once hugged him tightly. He also took her in his embrace and switch on lights. Settling down with their backs facing the door, Haseena stayed her head on his shoulders for a long while and he too was there comforting her both were in complete silence. After a while, Mahipal started, "I had hurt my princess a lot right?" "Right...." she replied with a cute pout. "Won't you forgive me........" he asked again. "Nope......you pushed me away....." she said clutched him more tightly. He smiled at her cute antics and said, "but you only said that........" "So.....I am your daughter I can say anything......and anyways you broke your promise that's why I said that........" she complaint and added with a cute pout, "look!! It's all because of you........you made me cry so much......." "Aww....my bchhaaa!!!" Mahipal started tickling her and she started laughing and stopping them and unintentionally, "papa!!!" escaped her lips which stopped Mahipal in his tracks. He was pleasantly surprised and was looking at her numbly, she too fumbled upon his reaction, "Aaaa..... I....actually....." "Say it once more......." He requested there was a deep silence between them, "I was yearning to hear that from your mouth......." He expressed his longingness. "P.....papa........" she called him again smiling through her tears while he just hugged her again, his happiness knew no bounds. Expression is the essence of love and relationship. That day Haseena had broken a wall within herself and granted a new life to her relationship with her foster father. Though she had accepted him as her father long back she used to feel it incomplete, her expression had granted their father-daughter relationship full bloom. That day, they spent with each other reminiscing their very own precious moments and thanked Almighty for granting them their togetherness. While everyone else went towards their respective rooms some happy, some contended and some in hope that someday their relationship with her would bloom again.

How is it? stay tuned for more exciting tracks......
