It was early morning, everyone in the Haveli was asleep except the two Karishma and Anubhav. Sighed heavily she left her room in order to have a walk, in the lawn but when she passed by Haseena's room, her steps refused to move away. Stepping into her room, she saw her sleeping uncomfortably with a creased forehead, without any covers when A.C. was on low temperature. She sat beside her on the stool, covered her properly, and was about to kiss her forehead but stopped afraid of her waking up. Anubhav was also moving towards Haseena's room wanting to have her one glance and perhaps he could catch some sleep. When he reached there he saw her sister sitting at the bedside looking at her with tears of longingness. And a brother in him had started feeling more helpless, worried, and frustrated for his sister's pain. His patience was fading and he fell there only, "what a failure I am, I had promised Behna for all your happiness and I am unable to give you one thing which is most important for you. I had promised not only you but your madam sir too, she trusted me and give me her heart and what I did....I broke it....." tears started streaming his eyes and he settled there only on the floor outside her room. While inside Karishma Singh was talking to her sleeping figure, "you had always helped whenever I stuck somewhere then today why you are not doing it........I am helpless......I want to get back to my best friend, my senior, my mentor but as always I don't know how to do it. It was you who always lead the path and now suddenly you had left me to find my own.....I have been lost in its density and darkness......please hold my hand .......once again......you had forgiven everyone, Santosh, cheetah, Pushpa ji your Uncle.......when will my number come...." Her eyes were full of tears, she placed her head beside her and crying herself to sleep outside. Anubhav who had been feeling her sister's pain could not be able to tolerate it, brother in him was getting frustrated with each moment and angrier too on himself and on Haseena too, "Why Haseena ji? You claim to love her then why can't you forgive her please.....we are repenting but you are unable to see our pain.....what kind of love is this...." He mumbled to himself and cried to sleep supporting his head on the wall behind him.

The next morning, Ammi woke up and as per her habit, she went to Haseena's room only to find Anubhav outside it, sleeping in a sitting position on the floor with tear stricken face. "Anubhav!!!" he called him politely waking him up. "What are you doing here? Like this? Does something happened between you and Haseena?" she asked him. "aa....n...no Ammi....." he lied to her. "Okay! Then go to your room." she sent him away. She moved ahead and looked inside to see Karishma in a similar state, "there is indeed something wrong between three of them. Absolutely what could be other reason for Haseena's sudden resignation...." She confirmed her doubt and went away angrily. Remembering all those moments when her daughter was in extreme pain because of them, she was fuelling in anger. In the morning, Haseena woke up only to find Karishma at her bedside for once she started adoring her finding her there all their beautiful moments flashed in front of her but then she remembered how she betrayed her. Her smile changed into pain and she moved away from the bed, her movement caused her to wake up. They had an eye lock, Karishma was about to say something but she was cut by Haseena and said, "You should freshen up, and everyone will be waiting for us on breakfast Karishma ji...." And stormed into the washroom. "I hate this formal attitude of yours....if you are angry then vent up your anger......why you are giving me this silent treatment?......." she shouted angrily and banged the door behind her but she got no response. With tears, she moved away, inside Haseena was also in tears sitting at the door only yearning for the same love for which Karishma Singh was yearning.

At the breakfast table, Haseena was sitting beside Mahipal Singh and her Ammi on her front while Karishma and Anubhav were sitting beside Haseena and Pushpa ji, Santosh and Cheetah were sitting beside Ammi. Mahipal was having bread omelets while Haseena was adoring him. He smiled looking at her and asked through raised his eyes to ask what she is looking at. Haseena smiled and gestured towards his plate and then towards herself wishing him to feed her. Mahipal was surprised by her unique and rarest request and he happily fulfilled her wish. All her Police station team was admiring this side of their madam sir. However there ammi was getting angrier and angrier seeing Anubhav and Karishma looking at her. Her love for her daughter has overpowered all her judgment skills and she pushed away from the plate angrily. It had shaken her up and she at once asked, "Ammi!! What happened?" Haseena asked her getting surprised by her anger. "Why are you this much angry?" she asked again and when she saw her mother glaring at Karishma and Anubhav angrily her heartbeat started racing.

"Bhai sahib!!! Don't you want to know the names who cause her trauma? Those for whom she had given up the most significant part of her life- her father's dream and her passion, her uniform? Those due to whom she had been on the bed near to death for two days? Those who had broken our daughter in a way no one ever had?" She was spitting fire and Haseena was unable to find the way to stop her while Karishma and Anubhav were seeing each other afraid of the upcoming storm. Listening to her, his anger rose too and he asked with gritted teeth, "Just say the names......." "Karishma Singh and her brother Anubhav Singh!!!!" she said throwing daggers at them through her eyes. "What?" he was shocked he started moving closer to them, "Is she right?" "Look! Sir!! Wait...." He was moving closer and closer to him without giving them any chance to say anything. "I said is she right? Do you have anything to do with it?" he asked roaring loudly. They were about to accept but she intervened loudly, "NOOOO!!!! They had nothing to do with this." "Haseena don't fool me. I had seen him outside your room crying and guilty and her beside your bed in a similar situation. It clearly means you three had a fight." Her Ammi reasoned her. "Anubhav Singh!!!" Mahipal shouted and grabbed his collar. Everyone shouted and was shocked at where things were going, Haseena at once put her hand on his arms and shouted "Wait, papa! Ammi!! First, listen to me........" "Fine, say whatever the truth is and then I will decide if they are the culprit or not...." Mahipal retorted back. Haseena looked at both Anubhav and Karishma and then towards Mahipal's enraged self, "Yes, you are right we do have a fight but not like what you both are assuming. Last night they both came to my room and were fighting with me that why I had not told them before going in front of that man in the village. They were angry because of the....." she paused once again looked at her mother and said again, "I hope you remember the promise you took from them after that horrific torture, I have been through, before permitting me to continue my duty. You only took the promise that they will protect me in every case in my duty and in every matter of my life. When they failed to protect me from that mild scar, they were disturbed and because of that, we had an argument. I was trying to make them understand that I can protect myself but like I could never be able to make you understand that, I failed to do so to them also. What you saw last night was just the after-effects of that. It was nothing serious." Haseena was in pain as she was not only lying but helpless for doing so too. "Then why the hell had you resigned???" her mother shouted. "Wow ammi!!! I can't believe that you are hell-bent on this. If I am not wrong, until a few days ago your only rant was that I should resign from my duty. Only if they both were not there, it was you who would have forced me to resign and now you are making this a great issue." Haseena argued. "At that time and now too, my only concern was your safety, security, and happiness. Yes, I wanted you to leave that job because for that you had nearly lost your life. And when they both assured me that they will protect you then only I agreed. And now too, your duty is everything for you and when you left it that means someone had put you through great pain so this time also I want to eliminate that source of pain to protect your happiness, safety, and security." Ammi put her side and Mahipal added, "I agree with her, you are the most important thing of our life and we as parents will go to any extent to protect you. Haseena, we want the reason of your resignation...." All the team members were shocked to witness their obsession for her security and at that moment Santosh realized why she said that she hated this security and Karishma Singh get her answer too of the question that when everyone needs a shoulder then why she had never one? Because good and bad moments together make a relationship. When she had such overprotective parents who could even take someone's life for that intentional or unintentional bad that would certainly be caused to their daughter in her every relation she might have or would have with other people, why the hell someone would ever make any relation with her. Haseena sighed heavily to get herself ready for another lie, she is ready to speak as many lies as she required to keep them both safe, "It was never a resignation papa. I just wanted to take a long leave which was compulsory for my body to recover completely but the department was not granting me the one so I and Anu had planned it." she intentionally called him Anu in order to get them to believe to her lies, glancing at him, she added, "He suggested me that I should resign and disappear in a way which would make department realize that they needed me and in order to have me back, he would ask them to convert my resignation into a month's leave. I had not told you this because one, it was not important, and second because I don't want to take the risk for it to be revealed to the authorities." She fell back on the sofa, putting her head in her hands thinking, "I never knew I could lie so much...." Mahipal and her Ammi believed her and they apologized to Anubhav and Karishma who instantly forgave them though but both of them had some other thoughts. Where on one hand Anubhav was unable to comprehend that if Haseena could lie so much by going against morality then why can't she forget his sister's one lie? While Karishma was realizing that her deceit had broken her so much because perhaps she became that support for her madam sir which she needed all her life since her father's demise. Now where on one hand Karishma wanted to erase her madam sir's all pains at any cost but on the other hands, Anubhav wanted his answers that why she is being so cruel to him and his sister.
