EPIC SAGA OF FRIENDSHIP

Hi everyone, Be happy and enjoy!!

Haseena stepped into Police Station knowing only Karishma would be there because of her night duty. "Greetings Madam Sir!!" Karishma at once saluted her with full attention as soon as she saw her standing there looking at her. "Greetings Karishma Singh." She replied looking at Karishma who sat back down on her desk resuming her file. Karishma had intentionally kept her gaze glued to the file clearly suppressing an overflow of emotions inside her. "Okay then, I am in my cabin...." She said and left from there immediately. As she heard her moving into the cabin instead of going home for rest and that too without having a meal, she closed her eyes and put her head in her palms, compelling herself to face her. Taking a deep breath, she gets up from her desk, picked up the tiffin, and moved towards Haseena's cabin. There she saw her resting, putting her head on the backrest of her chair with closed eyes after a terribly tiring day full of turmoil and breakdowns.

Karishma had stepped in and moved towards her table. Haseena was looking at her while she was busy serving food on two plates without looking at her or saying anything to her. Putting her plate in front of her, she took her seat and settled on the chair in front of her to eat. For once Haseena thought of refusing to eat but then one look from Karishma had changed her resolve and she obediently started eating it. There was complete silence in the room except for a few chewing voices and Haseena taking glances towards her who had not looked at her even for once. Their meal finished, Karishma served her medicine and waited for her to gulp it down. As soon as she has it, she turned around to leave her cabin but Haseena had held her hand to stop her, "Karishma??" her voice was a mere whisper coming out through her tears. Instant tears emerged from her eyes too as if were already on the verge of falling down. "Please Karishma......" another whisper came from her lips. Karishma's tears turned into anger and she freed her hand from her grip and stormed out of her cabin at full pace.

Haseena looked at her retreating angry figure and she also ran behind her, bracing herself for whatever she throws towards her. "I am sorry Karishma." She said from behind as Karishma was standing near file Almirah looking at a file but she did not respond instead took the file and moved towards her desk. "I am sorry please." She once again apologized now moving towards her desk but she did not budge and did not even raise her eyes for her. "I know I had done wrong to you, I had pushed you away, I had been very rude to you, I had neither myself took care of my wounds nor I allowed you, I had vented all the anger of my S.I on my best friend knowing the fact that she was not at fault and most importantly I had not shared my pain and trauma related to Hashim's death with you." she confessed all the things which she knew had hurt her, honestly and then apologized holding her ears with cracking voice, "Please forgive me, I am sorry Karishma." However, her simple and sincere apology wasn't enough for melting her anger today, she did not budge at her and was continually giving her silent treatment without looking at her face as she did not want herself to flow away. "If you can't forgive your friend then punish her, please...." She added removing her hands from her ears but again no response. "Fine, if you won't then I will myself." She added and left the Police Station with a voice clearly expressing that she mean each and every word. Karishma wanted to stop her and she would have at any other time but today she was too much angry and hurt at the same time, her mind overtook her heart and she let her go. Hitting her fist tightly on the table, she desperately tried to vent out her anger but to no avail.

Fifteen minutes later, she found Anubhav Singh entering the Police Station with a few files in his hands. "Greetings Sir!!" she saluted seeing him. "Sir, you here, at this moment.....all okay," she asked him with a surprise. "Everything is fine, I knew you have been on night duty today and I suddenly wished to be near my sister so I thought that I could do the rest of my files here." He told her giving her a genuine smile and put his hand lovingly on her head which indeed gave a soothing effect to his sister's nerves and she gave him a side hug acknowledging his presence, "Thank you bhayya!! I was feeling so alone...." He nodded knowing she had still not made up with her soul, hence the reason for her loneliness.

Karishma was sitting on her desk working through some files while Anubhav was sitting in Haseena Cabin working on some cases at the same time looking at the wristwatch again and again. His lips twisted when he heard the phone at Pushpa ji's table started ringing. He looked at Karishma who moved towards the phone with anger decorated on her face. She picked it up, "Hello, Woman Police Station Lukhnow, how can I help you?" "Madam, please, please save me, Railway Park...please madam." A scared voice added from the other end and hung up before she could even ask anything. "Karishma Singh, What happened?" Anubhav asked. "Someone was asking for help but she said nothing except Railway park...." she responded thinking about it. "Hmm.....it could be a prank too, to keep you away from Police Station or maybe someone really needed help. Do one thing, you should go to the location while I will stay here." Anubhav told her. "Yes Sir." She saluted him and stormed towards the location on the bike. As she left Anubhav smiled fully, "your work is done Haseena ji."

Karishma reached Railway Park, parked her bike there outside it on a road with just a few drunkards sitting outside the park in their semi-conscious state. Not able to understand anything, she moved towards the entrance and was looking here and three to see any signs of criminal activity. Just then a little boy came out of nowhere, handed him a little piece of paper and before she could ask anything of him, he ran from there to a street towards her left. She opened the piece of paper and could immediately recognize handwriting, "Madam Sir!!" escaped her lips and she read the contents of the paper loudly to herself,

I know I had broken your heart with my harsh words and it had broken my heart too.....

I am fool, fool, fool

I am sorry, sorry, sorry

I am punished near two broken hearts, please find me and forgive me.

"Madam Sir, what she is up to? Why she is doing that?" she mumbled to herself irritated and turned the paper only to see a red button labeled as 'push me' With a creased forehead, she pushed the button and suddenly a voice she knew very well, beautiful and soul-soothing entered her ears and touched her heart. A smile crept up her lips and she started searching for its source and found a speaker attached to a tree on her left side. "Madam Sir!!" she shook her head feeling happy from inside and started looking for the broken hearts in the ground while enjoying her best friend's sweet voice.

Tu jo Rootha, To Kaun hasega, Tu Jo chhuta, To kaun Rahega

Tu chhup hai tu, Ye Darr lagta hai, apna mujhko ab kaun kahay ga

Tuhi Wahah, Tere Bina, Bewajah Bekaar Hoon Main

Tera Yaar Hoon Main

Tera Yaar Hoon Main

At this point, she reached two broken plant pots of rose plants and smiled at the thoughtfulness of her friend. She picked up the paper peeking out from the mud and just then the music stopped. She once again opened it and this time a little more excited than before. She read her next riddle for herself loudly,

You are the light of my once darkened life and I pushed you away....

I am fool, fool, fool

I am sorry, sorry, sorry

I am punished under the guiding stars, please find me and forgive me...

She once again turned the page and pushed the red button once again eager to hear the lyrics of the next song in her soulful voice just for herself. As she heard those lyrics, her eyes instantly get wet and she ran desperately, looking up in the sky and on the ground to find her next clue.

Sajde kiye hai lakho, lakho duaye mangi, paya Hai maine fir tujhe

Chahat ki teri maine, Haq mein Hawayein Mangi, Paya Hai maine phir Tujhe

Tujhse hi dil yeh behla, Tu jaise kalma pehla, Chahun na phir kyun main tujhe

Jis pal naa chaha tujhko, us pal sazayein maangi, paya hai maine phir tujhe

O...Sajde kiye hai lakho, lakho duaye mangi, paya Hai maine fir tujhe

Until then her face was wet with her tears and she couldn't able to locate the next clue even after searching every lamp and light source of the park, "Madam Sir, why are you teasing me like this? What had you done yourself? How will I solve this riddle, now...." she said to herself when her eyes went on a group of fireflies at the extreme right corner of the park, "guiding star- firefly..." a huge smile crept up her lips and she ran towards there and there it was, next piece of paper was attached to a thorn on the rose plant. She carefully removed it not pricking herself or tearing it apart and read her next riddle.

You are the healer of my wounds, soother of my pains and I pushed you away from me, hurting you....

I am fool, fool, fool

I am Sorry, Sorry, Sorry

I am punished where tired bodies get soothed in the park, please find me and forgive me....

She once again pushed the button and waited for the music to end as she wanted to know which next song her dearest friend had dedicated to her. As the lyrics entered her ears, she closed her eyes for a moment not able to hold herself from overflowing in emotions as she could hear her cracking voice. At once she opened her eyes and started running her eyes and mind in different directions not wanting to get her friend waited for her anymore.

Apne roothe, paraye roothe, yaar roothe na...

Khwaab toote, wade toote, dil ye toote na..

Apne roothe, paraye roothe, yaar roothe na...

Khwaab toote, wade toote, dil ye toote na..

Roothe to khuda bhi roothe, Saath chhote na.

Roothe to khuda bhi roothe, Saath chhote na.

O Allah waariyan, main toh haariyan

O tooti yaariyan, mila de oye.

O Allah waariyan, main toh haariyan

O tooti yaariyan, mila de oye.

She reached near a bench when the music ended and Haseena's cracking voice came out as one loud sob which ended on the words, 'I am sorry' Her heart skipped a beat and she at once picked up the paper from underneath it and read its contents.

Your beautiful face gave my heart and soul a cooling effect and I closed my eyes on you.....

I am fool, fool, fool

I am Sorry, Sorry, Sorry

I am punished behind the green blanket, please find me and forgive me....

"Another riddle, please Haseena.....I hope you are not hurting yourself because if such is the case then instead of mollifying me you will upset me more." She mumbled to herself and pressed the button once again. She had seen that wall fully hidden with green leashed vines at the farthest left side of the park which was giving a perception that the wall had taken over a green blanket. So without wasting any further movement she pressed the button on the back of the paper and started walking towards the wall. Though, her eagerness to reach her does not stop her from fluttering over the next song lyrics.

Tere sung jeena yahan, Tere sung mur jana

Yaad karay gi dunya, Tera mera afsaana

Tera jaisa yaar kahan, Kahan aisa yaarana

Yaad karay gi dunya, Tera mera afsaana

Karishma reached to that blanket wall and started displacing its vines to look for something. When she reached a small door like a secret pathway. Surprised she pushed it open and bend down to enter it. As soon as stepped into the area, her eyes got open wide out of a pleasant shock as she was unable to decipher if she is on a piece of land or she is in the heavens. It was a mini garden the size of a room, surrounded by all colored flower plants complemented with different shades of green while golden fairy lights were adding to the beauty of the area. In the sky, clouds that earlier had covered the moon had unveiled it as if welcoming her. In the center was a beautiful fairy fountain in which streams of water were coming out from stone where fairy wings were touching its body. Golden lights were decorated at the edge of the fountain hose making a sight worth seeing. She had not taken in the natural beauty of the area fully when she looked at golden-colored big sorry balloons which were attached to rose plants on the left and right sides in a pack of twelve. Her eyes met with her dearest friend in the center of both plants, where she had been tied to a large tree trunk as soft golden silk clothe strip was wrapped around her upper body tight enough to keep herself from going away and loose enough for not hurting any of her stitches. As soon as Haseena find Karishma looking in her eyes, she resumed the same song, and this time Karishma joined her voice with her best friends while walking towards her, both eyes were wet.

Meri Jeet Teri Jeet, Teri haar Meri haar

Sun aye mere yaar

Tera ghum Mera ghum, Meri jaan Teri jaan

Aisa apna pyaar

Jaan pe bhi khelenge, Tere liye le lenge

Jaan pe bhi khelenge, Tere liye le lenge

Sab say dushmani

Yeh dosti hum nahi todenge,

Todenge dam magar

Tera saath na chhodenge

Yeh dosti hum nahi todenge

Todenge dam magar

Tera saath na chhodenge

Lyrics ended, Karishma reached near Haseena who added, "I am sorry Karishma...." One last time, bowed her head and started sobbing, she at once wrapped her arms around Haseena's neck and joined her, soon enough whole area was filled with their loud sobs.

Ten minutes had passed but Karishma was still clung around Haseena's neck who was still tied to the tree trunk desperately waiting for her friend to free her so that she could wrap her arms around her too, "Karishma, am I forgiven?" She asked with ever so sweet buttering voice. Karishma could feel her arms moving and she knew what she wanted, it was then her eyes went on a table placed there too on which there was an icebox. Seeing it, she grinned as once again a naughty idea struck her mind. She left Haseena's neck and moved towards the table which was enough for Haseena to understand her naughty side had woken up once again and it was equally scary and pleasurable for her.

"Haseena, what's in the box?" she asked opening it to which Haseena smiled and added, "ice cream, I thought to enjoy with you sitting on this cool grass under the beautiful moon but now this wish seems not to be fulfilled." Karishma laughed at her comment and added, "How smart you are? But your half wish will be fulfilled..." "Ahmm....and what is it madam?" she asked smiling calmly still tied enjoying Karishma's this naughty side, she loves the most perhaps. "I will take out your favorite flavor cup, will open it right in front of you, and will enjoy it sitting on the grass here only enjoying my authoritative best friend tied to the trunk like this, adding to the beauty of this serene sight." She said while doing exactly what she was saying and Haseena pouted seeing her eating spoonful and not giving her. Her pout was replaced with a peaceful smile sooner as she was seeing (by resting her head on the trunk at back) towards her dear soul sister enjoying relishing the flavor she does not like too much. "What are you seeing like this?" Karishma asked her looking towards her. "When you had seen your favorite flavor then why are you eating this one." Haseena asked to which she shrugged off her shoulder and added, "Because....I want you to eat with me..." She replied, stood up from there, and shoved a spoon in Haseena's mouth too. She stood there taking support of the trunk beside Haseena and started feeding her ice cream with her own hands, still not opening her.

Haseena was so much overwhelmed at that moment that her eyes were reflecting her happy tears and she added, "I don't know what good I had done that I got you Karishma, I had never imagined I could ever feel so happy, peaceful yet naughty at the same time with the things you made me do. I cherish your friendship every moment of my life that sometimes it scared me to death that what I would do if you would have been snatched from me." Karishma looked at her, placed the empty ice cream cup nearby, kissed her forehead, and added, "It could never happen because relations of the heart are so strong to be broken down." Haseena nodded looking at her. "Now please, will you release me madam because your Anu bhayya must be waiting for us." "Hmm, that means he was involved in plan....I will see him afterward but first, let me take some pictures of you in the sight rare to be seen with me.......I will tease Anu bhayya that you had done something so special and out of the box for me and not for him." She added taking out her cell phone while Haseena rolled her eyes and added, "You and your Anu bhayya's this never-ending race will someday get me crushed in between you too. Moreover, the whole team of decorators had already seen me like this and now I am sure even the whole city would be knowing this in no time." Haseena responded to which Karishma nodded her head and added after posing a selfie with her, "Let the whole world know this epic saga of our friendship...." Hearing her words Haseena nodded and smiled drowned in her thoughts, "You have no idea Karishma, how the dangerous elements are conspiring against us, to test our friendship, to break us apart, and to give us unforgettable pains but I promise every pain will have to pass me first before reaching to you, Anubhav or innocent people of Lukhnow." "Where are you lost, Let's go..." Karishma said drawing her out of the area.

Playing with words to make riddles, was something new for me......just hoping it is not sounding cliche......how was the Kareena moment, do you like it?

Stay tuned.......
