Chapter 131

The urgency in Diana's revelation spurred them into immediate action. With a determined resolve, Remus, Diana, James, and Lily immediately sent out Patronuses to the Order members, calling them to the Headquarters.

Diana still hadn't told the other three what she had seen in her vision, only that it was going to change everything.

When everyone was gathered, they asked Diana what was going on, a chatter all over the room. The only person who wasn't speaking was Dumbledore, waiting patiently.

"Well? What is going on?" James asked Diana urgently. "You're scaring us here!"

"I can't tell you until everyone is here," said Diana.

"Everyone is here, Diana," said Remus. "Everyone except Peter, as you asked. Which I still don't understand why."

Deep down, however, Remus could guess exactly why Diana had insisted that Peter shouldn't be here tonight. But a part of him didn't wish to believe it to be true.

"Well, who is missing then?" Sirius asked.

Diana turned to look at him. "Your brother."

Everyone began looking around at one another, surprised at the answer.

"Regulus Black?" Frank Longbottom questioned. "You do know that he's a Death Eater, right?"

Diana nodded, still pale in the face. "Yes, I know. But it's necessary that he should be here."

"As you wish, Miss Greengrass," Dumbledore finally spoke. He then turned to Sirius, saying, "You know what to do, Mr. Black?"

Sirius was frowning, very much against the idea of having his brother here, but he knew exactly what had to be done. With great dismay, he loudly called out, "Kreacher!"

Moments later, a grim looking house elf appeared out of thin air. The elf looked around in horror and confusion, not sure where he was and why he was summoned but his master whom he hadn't seen for years, since Sirius had left the House of Black.

"Master Sirius summoned Kreacher?" the house elf bowed his head, though still confused and startled.

Sirius looked disgusted to see a reminder of his old life. But he went on to say, "I have an order for you, Kreacher. I order you to go to my brother Regulus. You are not supposed to talk to anyone. You are not allowed to tell anyone about where you are now and all you've seen. You will grab onto Regulus, without saying anything, and bring here, with or without his own will or consent. Understood?"

Kreacher didn't seem pleased by this at all, and yet he bowed his head and disappeared the next moment. It hadn't even been a minute until the house elf appeared with Regulus by his side, the boy's grey eyes wide in horror.

Regulus Black seemed just as horrified and confused to be here, not understanding what was happening. As if automatically, he drew out his wand, but Dumbledore was quick to disarm him by a casual swish of his own hand, wandlessly.

Regulus finally managed to look around the room, becoming even more surprised — and yet slightly calmer — to see the familiar faces around him; specially Diana and Layla.

"What the hell is going on here!?" He exclaimed angrily.

"It's okay, Regulus," Diana tried to say gently, even though all she wanted to do was to jump and bring her old friend into a hug. She hadn't seen him for so long. Her heart ached. "Please, sit down. And I will explain everything."

Regulus kept staring at her, still breathing heavily. Even if he wished to Disapparate, he couldn't. There were enchantments all across the Headquarters that prevented him from doing so.

"Please," Diana said even more softly this time, finally convincing him in taking a seat at the table.

She then turned to everyone in the room who had sat by the long table. Diana stood up to her feet, facing everyone. "You all know by now that I am a Seer. But I had the most important and life-changing vision tonight. And what I am going to say could change the fate of everyone within this room, and every witch and wizard in the Wizarding world, along with Muggles and Magical Creatures alike."

And thus, she began to say everything she had seen. Even though they were flashes of scenes and images, she knew all the details that were buried within those predictions, and so she spared no detail. She told the of the future she had seen; of the prophecy about James and Lily's future son, of Voldemort's demise upon the murder of the Potters, of Pettigrew's betrayal, Sirius in Azkaban, of Regulus's death, of the Horcruxes that already existed at this moment and their hiding places. Of James and Lily's son, and all that he had to conquer in the future. Of all the deaths and all the twists of fate.

When Diana was finally done, a deadly silence fell across the hall. Nobody spoke. Nobody knew what they were supposed to say. James and Lily looked the most horrified, listening to their future son's fate.

Dumbledore's countenance grew solemn as he absorbed the weight of the information. After a minute of contemplation, he finally rose from his chair. "We cannot afford to underestimate the gravity of what Miss Greengrass has seen, nor can we wait a moment longer to take action," he said, his voice measured and resolute.

"I agree," James was first to speak. "We need a plan. We need to go after the Horcruxes. Immediately."

The only person who already knew of the existence of one of the Horcruxes was Regulus. In fact, he had been planning on going after the locket himself; but Diana knew that already. She had spoke of his fate too.

"But how do we destroy them?" Alice asked. She too, was pregnant, the fabric of her shirt covering her little bump. "We certainly don't have a Basilisk fang lying around, like Diana said."

"We could use Moonfire Essence," Layla suddenly blurted after moments of silence, catching everyone's attention.

"What's that?" Marlene asked, who was sitting right beside her, both holding each other's hand under the table.

"It's a very rare and powerful magical substance extracted from the petals of a mystical flower that blooms only under the light of a full moon, harnessing the moon's purifying and transformative properties," Lily was the one who answered.

"Precisely," Dumbledore said thoughtfully, considering what they were saying. "That is Genius. Genius, indeed. To destroy a Horcrux with Moonfire Essence, we have to harness it from a rare magical flower. Once the Moonfire Blossom is obtained, we must carefully brew Moonfire Elixir. This potion harnesses the essence of the flower and enhances its magical properties. Goblin-made daggers should be dug into this potion to obtain its magical abilities. And with these daggers, we may be able to destroy the Horcruxes."

***

Though they had all wished to go after the Horcruxes immediately, the flower had to be harnessed by the next full moon, and the potion took time to brew. The ones in the Order who were skilled at Potion brewing put their minds together in making it along with Layla, Alice led the group skilled at Herbology to harness the flower, while Regulus managed to pull his connections and find six identical goblin-made daggers.

It was a rainy night in mid January, almost dusk, that the members of the Order of the Phoenix gathered once again, with Regulus among them. Peter had reached out to James, Sirius, and Remus on occasions throughout the past weeks to see what was new with the Order, but despite the boys' wish to confront that rat, they were ordered by Dumbledore to act as normal as ever with Pettigrew, as not to draw any attention to the change of events.

"I still can't believe he would do that," James muttered with a frown. He couldn't understand how the boy he had deemed a brother would betray them like that. How could he be the reason for his and Lily's death, of their future son becoming an Orphan.

"At least now we know who the real spy was," Alice said, looking meaningfully between Sirius and Remus, who had been avoiding each other throughout these last weeks. Perhaps they were both ashamed of not trusting each other.

But there was someone else that Sirius was trying to avoid all throughout the Order meetings; Regulus. It had been years since the two brothers had spoken a single word to each other.

"It is almost time," it was Dumbledore's voice that grabbed all their attention.

They gathered around the large table, on which a huge cauldron was placed, with purple boiling potion inside it. Around the cauldron, five shiny daggers were set neatly on the wooden table.

"Now," Dumbledore began. "Five Horcruxes exist as of today. Tom Riddle's diary hidden in the Malfoy Manor, Helga Hufflepuff's Goblet in Bellatrix Lestrange's vault, the Gaunt ring buried in the ruins of their house, Salazar Slytherin's locket, and Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem."

Everyone was silent, hearts racing as Dumbledore began to explain the plan.

"James and Lily Potter will break into the Malfoy Manor to find the Diary. Alice and Frank Longbottom will get into the Lestrange's vault with the use of Polyjuice potion to take the Goblet," Dumbledore said, and then turned to face Regulus. "Do you have what we asked for?"

Nodding, Regulus dug into his pockets, taking out two handkerchiefs, one containing Bellatrix's hair, the other her husband's.

"Very well." Dumbledore nodded, going on, "Remus and Diana will be searching for the Diadem in the Room of Requirements, Marlene and Layla will look for the Gaunt's ring, and lastly," he turned to look at Regulus and Sirius, "the Locket. But I want to make sure if you are up for this. Both of you. This won't be an easy task."

Sirius and Regulus glanced sideways at each other. Dumbledore was talking about the dangers of entering the cave in search for the locket, but the true challenge that the two brothers' had to face was coming face-to-face with each other.

"I'm ready for this," Sirius said firmly, and Regulus nodded as well.

"Good," said Alastor Moody. "The rest or us will begin phase two of the plan as soon as you leave headquarters. And after finding the Horcruxes, you know what to do."

They needed the strongest witches and wizards staying behind for phase two, as it was to enchant every resident in Godric's Hollow to evacuate town and to create protective charms all around it. That was where the war was to take place. That was where they had to face the Dark Lord and his army.

Diana couldn't explain why, but through her power she knew that Godric's Hollow was where it was supposed to happen. In the exact place where Lily and James were supposed to be murdered, and where Lord Voldemort would make the prophecy come true by scarring Harry Potter, and creating the bond between them. It had to be there, where everything was supposed to begin, where the story of The-Boy-Who-Lived would've started.

"Let's begin, shall we?" said Alaster, gesturing at the daggers and the potion upon the table.

One by one, the ten young witches and wizards gathered around the table, one from each team stepping forward to grab a dagger, carefully digging it into the boiling potion, letting the blade absorb the power.

"Very well," Dumbledore began, looking around them, "once you find the Horcruxes, you must all come to Godric's Hollow, and that is where we will destroy them. It will alarm Lord Voldemort, and that is when the new war would begin. But remember, there is still time to back out. Because even though Miss Greengrass was able to see the original future and warn us on it, by going into this new fight, we still won't know who will come out alive this time."
