"Merlin, explain to me again how on earth we got into this rabbit hole," Artura asked featuring around frantically.

Merlin's face slowly morphed into a frown. "It wasn't my fault this time." Merlin defended plopping down on the ground defeated.

"Well it wasn't mine either," Artura growled. She was angry that she hasn't been prepared for the attack. The whole ride it felt as though she was being watch but she waved it off and kept telling Merlin to stop looking at her. "Now get off your lazy bum, I'm going to give you a boost and you see if your noodle arms can get you out of hear to get some help."

Merlin jumped to his feet. "I'm not leaving you behind." Artura's heart raced quicker and she could feel her face start to heat up a little. She turned herself so her servant couldn't see. "I'll lift you up and you go get help." He demands instead.

Artura scarfted scanning the boy up and down. "And you think I'd leave you behind. Merlin you really are an idiot. Besides I don't think you could lift me." Artura smirked slapping his arm.

His jumped back hugging his arm pouting. Artura laughed and along with it came loads of relieved stress. She glanced around the hole searching for a different solution. Somehow all the walls were completely flat with no roots or hooks to grab onto to get out.

The more she thought about how confident the hole was she came to another realization. Their captors appeared to be very thorough her gut told her guards were waiting ready to push then back inside.

Artura looked up at the free sky. She had always wished to be free like a bird but she was held down by duty and responsibility. "Do you ever wish to be free?" Artura asked her eyes dropping back down to Merlin.

He glanced over at her. "What do you mean? You seem pretty free to me, Alice." Merlin asked curious as to why the girl who floated around doing what she pleased would feel so trapped.

"Do you ever wish you were truly free?" Artura repeated her gaze making its way back up to the sky.

There was a long pause, it was only a couple of seconds but to Artura waiting with anticipation it felt like multiple life times had past and yet each life she still asked the question and waited for the answer.

"Yes." Merlin finally answered.

"Is it even possible to be completely free?" Artura questioned with a little doubt hidden inside her words.

"I...erm not sure I understand your...question." Merlin admitted.

Artura wanted to shut up instantly she wasn't making any sense but a last her mouth didn't listen to her mind as usual. "Like when I think of freedom I think of bird. For it is free to go wherever it may want, but is the bird truly free. Or does tiredness and gravity weight down to the point where it too feels caged up even when it is not. Can we be free from it all, from stress from responsibilities from...from secrets." Artura ranted her voice was distant.

"Sounds like you have a lot on your mind," Merlin said his voice going soft as well almost in a reverence to avoid distributing the quietness. Artura gave small nod her head falling looking away from freedom.

Sighing she slowly lowered herself to the ground the dirt giving in and forming around her. "Do..do you...We could talk about...I mean I have a feeling were going to..erm be here awhile..." Merlin attempted to speak but each time he tried he slowly lost more and more confidence.

Artura's face glowed a little as Merlin took a seat across from her. She raised her head just enough to look him in the eye and yet she chose to look past him. Talking about things she felt were sacred to her was never easy to do when looking someone in the eyes.

"I may appear to be a wanderer at time especially since I pop in every once in a while into town. Unfortunantly I am traveler with a purpose. My parents have left such a...a legacy and it is difficult to reach." Artura slightly explains. She did her best to stay as close as she could to the truth, but she could never tell Merlin that she was Prince Arthur. It would take a long time and her father would be furious.

"What type of legacy?"

"My mother was kind and loving or at least that is what I like to believe for I never knew my mother," Artura explained a small smile still placed upon her face. "My father on the other hand is still up and kicking.

"He has this...this idea of who I am going to be and I just can't. He expects me to be exactly like him." Artura explains finally making eye contact with Merlin.

"I never knew my father either and I imagine his similar personality as you do your mother." Merlin comforted. "I don't have a strict mother but Prince Arthur's dad is so harsh on him."

This caught Artura's attention, when she was Alice she always loved to ask people how they felt about her when she was Prince Arthur and she had just realised out of everyone to ask she had never ask her most trusted friend Merlin.

"Speaking of Prince Arthur what do you think about him?" Artura asked her expression almost taking a 180 from being solem to interested. "I'm mean I've heard rumors of you being super open about how you feel about him, but is that the honest truth?"

Merlin was a bit taken aback by the question. He was expecting to learn more about Alice and not have him speaking much, yet the tables had turned.

Different thoughts ran through his mind. He thought about all the nicknames and snarky remarks he had ever said to Arthur preparing an answer along those line. Somehow he got the feeling that Alice wasn't searching that answer she wanted something deeper. His next response was to be defensive and then he remembered how open she had been even if only for a couple of seconds. And in those seconds Merlin felt that he could see the true Alice. Her walls were down and there wasn't any acting covering her true emotions. It was only fair for him to return the favor.

"Arthur...Arthur has to be one of my closest friend. This could be due to the fact that he is my only real friend in Camelot. I mean sure you and Gwen are my friends too, but uh we just have this deep, almost feels magical, connection." Merlin began taking a deep breath gather more thoughts.

"I would risk my life in a heart beat and yet at times I'd be the first volunteer to help kill him. He's like my brother and yet a stronger bond than a brother. He's...He's.."Merlin paused searching for the correct words slowly Kilgharrah's words filled his heads. "Arthur is the other side to my coin."

Artura wanted to cry and hug him at the same time. No one had ever given her such a deep and genuine response before. It had also was the most kindest words she had ever heard about herself.

Her eyes gleaned with tears. She knew Merlin would never understand the significance of those words but they would hold a special place in her heart for as long as she lived. "Thank you for being genuine and honest. I traveled so much and hear so much about him I've began to ask people. I know I'll never get the chance to truly meet the man but I search for a way to imagine him. Merlin, you are the first to ever give his such a positive review. The world is so negative and judgemental. The prince does one thing that the people don't agree with and suddenly he is a monster."

"Erm so uh what do you think of him. You've heard so much what is his image to you?" Merlin asked hoping she would return with a better response then his crappy answer.

Artura bit her lips thinking of how to put it all into words. She searched beeper into her Alice character looking for how someone like Alice would view the Prince.

"First as someone who knows so little about the Prince and hasn't been able to have any heart to hearts, I don't have the right to rightfully judge him. I'm not saying I won't tell you its just a warning in advance.

"I feel like he brings us back to the whole freedom thing. People view a prince as a truly free human being especially when there is only one person above him. Yet, Arthur isn't free he has duties he must fulfill and when he makes the smallest slip up it is quick to be recorded and spread. He gets judged the most.

"People are searching for signs of his mother or his father. They want to know who he is going to be like when he is ruling. Although, they have never gotten the whole picture and unless you can get inside his head you never will.

"Arthur is a man of many images and most are negative. Arthur is rude, arrogant, stubborn, fierce, and defiant. But he is also kind, justful, and loyal. He will stick with his gut and friends; even when he knows people like his father won't a prove of it." Artura explained.

She had no intention of creating a pedistool for herself so she thought of the description she had heard and of events that she knew people had talked quite a but about.

She described how she wished people would view her. She wish they would see her as a human and someone who is slowly learning their trade and at times she is going to mess up. For messing up is one of the best ways to learn.

"Wow that was amazing," Merlin complimented. Artura's face brightened a little. "Could you do one on Gwen. Your her best friend so you should know things. Especially since I don't think we are going anywhere."

Artura smiled nodding as she began to invision Gwen and off she went. "Gwen is like a summers day..."

A.N: Hey guys so I feel really bad because it will be for even before an episode is published. So know I'd like to know if I should just publish a part at a time instead if doing the whole chapter together. This is just some random stuff that I felt like doing as an apology of sorts. School can cause people to be so busy and as a reader and writter it is extremely annoying.

I might release more of this sort of story throughout different episodes and maybe have the season lead to this moment or something where we get the beginning and ending but everything before hand is the in between carp. Please let me know if you liked this filler and I'll happily put it in more and I you do feel free to suggest ideas for what's going to happen next or who their captors are and such and ill do my best to intertwine it all into it.

Issue #Ω: I kept switching between Merlin and Artura's which was a little confusing sorry. If this is continued, should it keep randomly switching view or who's view should it be from should it switch back and forth each chapter (depending on how far it all goes). Sorry I'm like way excited about this chapter even though its crap and I can't quit catch Merlins character correctly. Artura is easy right now since she is more my character like this than Arthur is.
