---1599,North West, The Indian Subcontinent---

   ---------Scene 1- Royal Garden---------

Source of light was on its full glory sitting straight above our heads giving a hardtime to kingdom's hard workers who are doing their work under the shed of its light far from their shelter . Many birds were resting in their nests to  prevent from its destruction..which were hanging on trees_Some were flying in clear sky for the search of foods for their little ones, or some just roaming here and there and some were just digesting the meal they took.

Light hot breeze was blowing above our heads on a very hot summer day in north-west of Indian sub-continent, which is giving a somewhat relief to all mankind and to the flying creatures. Here, beside me all girls were silently doing there handicraft to save energy from wasting in movements of our tongues under this hot weather, under the shed of peepal tree.

But when !

As usual !

Raani opened her big fat mouth!!

"Do you know ?" She roamed her eyes on focusing everyone.

No one opened their mouth, not even nod, not even pulled their heads above to give her what she wanted now the most, is atleast attention to her talks, including me.

..after waiting for merely a very very very short span of time she thought to continue.

"My in-laws have a hundred of horses"_still no one gave her what she wanted the most now in this hot sweaty weather__  "fifty elephants,twenty sheep's, fifty camels, sixty goats and hundreds of buffaloes" Raani announced her wealth of soon to be in laws by racing her spinning wheel and looking at us turn by turn to get if anyone acknowledged her talk.

Silence

Silence

No one wants to indulge in her  conversation!

"Mithu.. Mithu "

Here, my mithu also opened his litte mouth after listening the chirping of Raani.

He's sitting on branch above my head.

All were silent until she spoke but after this no one remain silent.

Pammi interrupts the conversation who was silent from a while to announce her soon to be in-laws wealth  "That is nothing___ My in-laws have a most precious things that any of your in-laws don't have"

Look !! the most mysterious speaker opened her mouth.

All three heads turned towards her including me.

"Acha ! What's that?" Raani scowled slowing down the speed of spinning wheel.

"They have hundreds of precious diamonds, gold, silver, bronze in different colors and different designs, they are so beautiful and shining,they said that my jewellery for wedding will me made from them" Pammi told her in- laws story, who was also doing the needle work on dupatta to make it phulkari like me.

Raani's face suddenly got pale after hearing her diamonds gold silver and bronze story..

Now Laddi made up her mind to blow us with the wealth of her soon to be in laws.

"My in -laws have a thousands acres of land for fields, they have planted different crops in their fields like Wheat, Rice, Barley, Grains and also lots of cotton fields for our spinning wheels" Laddi told story of her in-laws by making the balls of cotton yearn.

Now all three feel satisfied after chirping about their in laws but now there all four pairs of eyes were looking at me, including mithu.

I'm already prepared..

"Aaab , what about your in- laws you are afterall princess of our Riyasat" Pammi asked me pulling a needle above her head from the flower she made on piece of cloth.

Yes__I'm the princess of this riyasat.

"Mithu mithu __Aaab.. Aaab" mithu chirped flying from one branch to the lower one.

Here my mithu also want to listen about my in laws. My future in laws have everything what they spoke turn by turn, but i don't want to show them down , so i already my in laws wealth.

"My in -laws have a hundreds of baag bagheeche full of sweet juicy fruits"  I tell them thinking about juicy sugary sweet fruits .

"Acha, had you tasted them" Pammi asked suspiciously .

"Yeah, they sent to us on our Roka ceremony, carts full of juicy fresh fruits" I still remembered that mind-blowing taste which linger on my tongue for days afterthat.

"Acha, Sanu te Khwa kdi Fer ,asi v Khana chahunde aa" ..Pammi said.
(okay, we also want to taste them, so you offer to us also...Pammi said. )

"Ha, asi v dekhiye Kinne mithe ne tere sohreyan de fal"
(yeah, we also see how sweet is your in-laws fruits are... Raani opened her big mouth. )

"Lai, Mai kive khwawa Tuhanu Hun, mere vyah ton baad kha leyo"
("Well, how I suppose to offer you now, after my marriage you all can taste them " I asked them)

"Nhi ji ! "  ( No ! ) Laddi exclaimed.

"Asi tan Tere vyah ton pehlan hi khane aa".....Laddi also unite with them.
( We all want to taste them before your marriage....Laddi said. )

"Par Mai kive leyawan, vyah ton pehlan sohre ghar thodi ja sakdi a Mai" I reasoned.
(But, how I suppose to get them, before marriage I can't go there my in-laws riyasat )

'Oh Hun Sanu Nhi Pta, asi tan khane a bas hun, o v Tere vyah ton pehlan" Raani again opened her big mouth.
(" That we all don't know, we all just want to taste them and that would even before your marriage ")

"Tu Apne sohre ghar hi chali ja , naale sadhe jija ji nu v dekh lyi iss Bhane, nhi vyah ton pehlan tan Kithe dikhna" Raani chuckled by saying this.
( Why don't you gone to your in-laws, also you seen our brother -in -law there, neither you never saw him before your marriage.....Raani chucked. )

"Okay.. I'll think about it." I announced.

After with satisfying grin all girls indulge in their work , giving me headache. But, i don't mind, we all are childhood friends.

We all four girls always seated under this large peepal tree in royal garden of our kingdom's palace.

These girls are the daughters of ministers of my father's kingdom. We never did any discrimination between us that's why we never think anything low between us.... Above all we four are against the discrimination in our society.

Raani's father is an cattle man of our kingdom, that's why she's engaged with the cattle man's son of our neighborhood kingdom.

Like this , Pammi's father is an jeweller of our kingdom , that's why she's engaged with Nabha riyasat's great older jewellers son.

Laadi's father is an farmer so she's engaged with the large landlord's son of a nearby village.

And I'm the princess of this kingdom. So I'm engaged with the crown prince of Lahore.

And princess of this book belong to a smaller kingdom inside a great mughal empire along the foothills of shivalik range of himalayas, inside a punjab province.

In this chapter, four girl friends are doing there handcraft , one was driving her spinning wheel, one was making the balls of cotton yearn, two were doing the needle work on dupattas.

They are preparing their dowry .

Riyasat means :: Kingdom.

**

Mithu :: It's a name of parrot (bird) , who is the pet of Aaab _ the princess.

His main characteristics :: He speak like humans.
