*Melody Pov*

"Melody, Melody!" I heard Amy's voice along with knocks on the door.

I immediately walked towards it and opened it to see Amy smiling at me. I sighed in relief because I thought someone was causing harm to her.

"I know you must be tired but we can't miss our morning walk. The morning fresh air will be good for the child." She said taking out my dress.

"Amy! I don't think we should go out there alone." I said looking at her.

"I know what you are thinking about. Do not worry there is a small garden connecting the Palace and Maid's quarters." She said smiling and I smiled a little.

After wearing a proper dress, we both walked out of the Palace by the way Amy was sent to quarters yesterday.

We started walking then I felt someone's presence and I immediately remembered lot number of swords coming towards my way.

"Amy! There is someone near us." I said looking around.

"Who is there?" I shouted in fear.

"Fear not Queen. It's me." I heard a small voice and saw a boy walking towards me folding his hands backwards.

"Did you just called me Queen?" I asked him in whisper.

"Yes! Juan said you are our Queen." He replied still looking down.

"Who sent you?" Amy asked.

"Juan asked me to protect our Queen in the absence of him." He replied.

"What is your name?" I asked him calmly.

"It's Shan!" he replied smiling and looked up.

"Tell me about your parents while walking with us." I said and he eagerly nodded walking with us.

"How old are you?" I asked him smiling.

"I am fifteen." He replied and I smiled a little at him.

"How brilliant of him? Sending a fifteen year old for your protection." Amy said frowning.

"No! I asked him to train me as I want to be like him to this Kingdom after the training." Shan said proudly.

"I am sure you will but always do what your heart says but not your mind." I said smiling and he nodded understanding.

We three continued to talk and then Amy and I returned to my room after the walk. While Shan left to go to his home.

"He is a cute kid." I said remembering him while I started having another bath.

"He is! Until that man's name come out of his mouth." Amy said.

"Amy! It is not his fault." I said trying to reason her.

"But I trusted him. If he had returned the very next day or atleast after a week tending to his wounds then that day wouldn't have entered into your life." She said with tears forming in her eyes.

"Don't Amy! Don't talk about that day. No one should know about it in this kingdom even the Prince." I said with hard expression.

"But if you tell him then they will get more punishment." She said trying to reason with me.

"No! I am safe and breathing right." I said shaking my head.

"But is your mental state safe? That day is still haunting your mind isn't it?" She asked slowly.

"I want to forget about that day Amy." I replied and closed my eyes.

After wearing another proper gown which will be suitable for today's occasion, we both sat on the chairs present in my room.

"I am sleepy Amy." I said trying to keep my eyes open.

"Well without proper sleep everyday does that." She joked but I just ignored it.

"You need to be back to previous Melody." She said looking at me.

"Maybe one day I will." I whispered and heard a knock on my door.

She opened it to see Kendrick standing infront of it. He nodded at me and I nodded back.

I walked towards him and started to walk towards the stairs but he stopped me placing my hand around his elbow.

I tensed but didn't retrieve it. We both walked towards the front part of the Palace where I heard I was not the Queen to this Kingdom from my Mother-in-law.

I saw that King Ronald and Queen Fay are already present along with Bess. I smiled at King Ronald and felt bad seeing him in this weak state.

He smiled at me like he did before leaving. He walked a little more forward and said "My Son and your Prince Kendrick had married the Princess Melody of Velimar about three months back in my presence along with King Albert and the people of Velimar."

"From this moment onwards He will be your King Kendrick and she will be your Queen Melody." He said and there were 'Hails' all among the people.

"I, King Kendrick giving you all my word that I will protect my Kingdom Hulind and Velimar with my life and seek to it's welfare and safety." Kendrick said and there were more hails.

I took a deep breath and said "I, Queen Melody would be beside him and help him with his word."

Kendrick looked at me shocked along with everyone because those were not the words I need to say. I need to utter the same words he did just with my name instead of his. But my heart didn't let me except accepting to help.

"There is other good news for our Kingdom. Our child and the Kingdom's heir is on it's way. You all need to protect your Queen's life and future heir's with your lives." I heard Kendrick ordering them and they all nodded vigorously.

Velimar Kingdom people must have also nodded their heads in the similar way when my Father asked them to protect me when I was in my Mother's womb.

There were Joyous cries all among the people and we all walked inside the palace. Entering the dining area I saw that the place is really bigger than the one I was used to.

"Have the freshly made juice Queen Melody. For the celebration!" One Maid said presenting us two glasses.

When Kendrick took one, I took it away from him and held it. He looked at me confused but took the other glass.

We all drank that and I excused myself to go inside my room. Amy followed me and asked me what's wrong.

"I do not know Amy. I just felt very disturbed staying there around the people. I feared anyone would do anything." I said placing myself on the bed and held my head.

"You need not worry Melody. No one will do anything to you." I heard Kendrick's voice and turned to see him standing at the door.

I shook my head not believing it. When my own Father can think of harming me then why won't they when I am nothing but an enemy like he was for Velimar.

"I can understand your fear. Tell me what do you want me to do?" He asked standing before me.

"I want my food to be cooked by Amy and only her. I want to stay only in my room unless there is a need for me to walk out." I whispered what I wish after few ticking minutes.

"I will see what I can do. I can't hurt the people who cooks for us and they will when they get to know their Queen don't trust them." He said sighing.

"I can talk to them and even apologize to them." I offered.

"You need not Melody. I will go and talk to them and I am sure your wishes will be fulfilled." He said and I nodded at him sighing in relief.

After he left, Amy turned towards me asking in amazement "Did the new King just accepted your wishes?"

"I guess he did. It will not be huge burden on you to do this task too Amy?" I asked her worried.

"Ofcourse not! You know I love to cook right." She replied and I smiled at her.

*Kendrick Pov*

After talking to my Mother and Father, I talked to the cooking people and they did not have any problem with the Queen's wish.

In the evening I walked inside her room after knocking and saw her sitting on the chair knitting.

"Want to have a stroll in the garden?" I asked her smiling.

"I already had one in the morning." She replied not meeting my eyes.

"For few minutes Melody." I pressed and she reluctantly nodded.

We both walked outside and started walking along the garden. I glanced at her to see her folding her arms to her chest.

"I want to apologize for everything Melody. I did not have a minimal idea. I thought you will be safe in your Kingdom and I even sent Juan for extra safety. I did not think it will turn out in this manner." I said stopping both of us and stood infront of her.

She calmly nodded and I continued saying "I know I should have sent some messenger to give you a message but no one was under control and were hanging on a string. I didn't want any harm either for you or for your people."

When I said that she closed her eyes making me want to know what is running in her mind. Then she opened her eyes with blank look.

I was about to hold her hand but she moved away saying "I was told public affection is not to be done outside the chambers."

I sighed and we both returned near to our chambers. She was about to go inside her room but I stopped her holding her hand.

"Do you forgive me Melody?" I asked her.

"You didn't do anything wrong for me to forgive you King Kendrick." With that reply she walked inside her room.

I stood rooted in my spot for few minutes and then walked inside my own Bedchambers. What should I do now??

Another update for my friend....

So i said there will be love story but from one side and you guys must have already know whose... Well kendrick needs to fall hard right?

But Both combing will be late like little late in the number of chapters but long late inside the story....
