*Kendrick Pov*

"So what is the great Prince Kendrick is doing here giving us his precious presence?" I heard the mocking words coming from none other than King Albert entering the room.

"King Albert..." I started to say when he sat down in his chair.

"Is he here to humiliate us more?" He asked continuing.

Then I glanced around to see few council members in the room along with Cole who is looking at me to take my life away in any second.

"Or is he here to show us how weak our Prison guarding works?" He questioned throwing a glance at Juan.

"King Albert! I will explain everything but can you ask for Princess Melody to be present with us?" I asked him with no weakness in the voice.

He just stared at me and then at Cole who nodded. And then finally a guard was sent to call Melody.

"Why are you here?" Cole asked.

"To take my Wife to our Kingdom." I replied and at the same second I felt someone sitting beside me.

I glanced at my right to see her just sitting their glancing at the floor. I sighed in relief that she is safe. I am sure she must have so many questions to ask me and I will answer each one of it.

"Now tell us everything Prince Kendrick." King Albert said and I started telling them everything that has happened when I reached my Kingdom two months back.

Then told how dangerous it was for them to be in that Kingdom and even told them what actually happened to my Father and also who did it.

"How can we believe you?" Cole asked.

"You can visit Hulind and see for yourself. You can even ask anyone in my Kingdom." I replied.

"Very well then! We are not going to step into that Kingdom until the agreement is drawn. But Mel.. Princess Melody can go with you." King Albert said.

That's all! I thought they would have not sent her with us until they see it is safe by their own eyes.

"Want to stay here for few days and take rest Prince?" He asked bringing me out of my thoughts.

"No! We will leave instantly." I replied and glanced at Juan who is keeping a strong façade but I can say he is feeling weak.

"We would be needing a big chariot though." I added glancing at King Albert and he nodded.

"Mel.. Princess! You can pack anything you need and leave with them. As per you right you can take one person from here as your caretaker." King Albert said looking at Melody who is still glancing at the floor.

She without even nodding got up from her chair and walked outside the room. She didn't even glance at me? Is she angry at me? But she listened to everything right?

I can't wait here anymore so I stood up excusing myself and walked outside the room with Juan trailing behind me. And the King sent the word all over the Kingdom regarding this matter.

We both walked towards the Melody's chambers and waited outside her door as the doors were closed.

We both just paced along the corridor and he kept mumbling 'I hope she brings her'

"Who is her?" I asked him with a frown.

"Someone!" he replied.

"Uhmm.. Prince Kendrick! What are you doing here?" We heard a voice and turned to see some maid standing there.

"We are waiting for Princess Melody." I replied.

"But... but she doesn't stay here anymore." She said with wide eyes.

"What do you mean? Did she change her chamber? Tell me where it is we will go there." I asked her.

"She.. she.. stays in maid's quarters." The Maid replied and this time my eyes were the one which went wide.

"What? What do you mean? Are you jesting with me?" I barked at her before I could control myself.

"Prince! Let me talk to her." Juan slowly said and turned towards the Maid.

"Miss! Where is Princess Melody staying?" Juan calmly asked her.

"In the Maid quarters! She has been staying there for one month." She replied trembling.

"Why?" Juan asked frowning.

"As part of a punishment for helping you." She murmured but we heard her.

We both asked her the instructions and reached there soon. We walked inside to see Melody walking out along with some Maid whom I know as Amy.

Before she could see us, Cole reached near them. He caressed her head slowly and said "Take care of yourself, Melody."

To which she just nodded and he sighed saying "You need to think about your child too."

When those words left his mouth, I stumbled back and Juan supported me from falling. She is with child? She is with my child and no one told me even now.

"I know!" she whispered to him and those were the first words I am hearing from her after coming her.

I walked near her and took the bags she is carrying and that too in this condition. Amy is already carrying so many and I can understand her not carrying this. But what happened to the remaining people?

Juan walked near Amy and started taking the bags but she snapped at him saying "I can do it myself!"

"Amy?" he whispered but she ignored him saying "Let's go Melody!"

Juan just stood there stunned until I patted his shoulder. We four walked outside the quarters along with Cole to see all the council members along with the King standing near out chariot along with some women who has a rage covering her face.

"When my Father feels well, we will sign the agreement. But by the very next day we both will be known as King and Queen by the people in Hulind." I said with gritted teeth so that I will not hurt him for giving this punishment for his own daughter.

They all just nodded and we all got inside the chariot while my guards got on their horse tying mine and Juan's horse to the chariot.

Inside the chariot Melody and Amy sat on one side while Juan and I sat on the other.

"Amy! What happened to you?" Juan asked when we were passing the Kingdom.

I glanced outside to see everyone waving for us while Melody just saw them with plain look. She was sitting before me and she can also see them waving but she is not at all moving.

When we reached the gate both Melody and Amy sat in tense form. Amy finally uttered "You are fine Melody. Do not worry about them anymore."

"What do you mean by that Amy?" I asked her.

"Nothing Prince Kendrick!" she replied not looking at me.

"Why are you calling Princess Melody with her name infront of Prince?" Juan suddenly asked.

She laughed bitterly and said "The whole Kingdom will call her with that name only. And they have been doing it for past one month."

"Why?" I asked her shocked.

"Her status was removed by his highness and the council members along with the people." Amy replied.

"I know that must be because she saved me but now see she will become their Queen. They will feel shame upon themselves. Everything will be fine." Juan said holding Amy's hand.

"Everything will be fine?" Amy barked at Juan.

"Amy! Don't forget that you are in the presence of a Prince and Future King." Melody said placing her hand on Amy's shoulder.

"There is something else that happened isn't it?" I asked them.

"Yes Prince Kendrick! She could have lost her life along with your child in just a tiny second." Amy replied making me look at her wide eyed and with fear.

*Melody Pov*

Hearing what Amy is uttering made me again think about what actually happened on that fateful day like everyday.

As I closed my eyes thinking everything will finish off soon as there is no one to save me and nothing they can do to save me.

"She is with child!" I heard someone shouting and opened my eyes to see Uncle Cole standing infront of us.

He is panting and seems like he has been running. He again took a deep breath and said "She is with child."

"So? Doesn't that make even more need to take her life away as she has the child with an enemy?" Candice out of nowhere uttered.

Why are they uttering the things like, I have some affair with the enemy? I was married off to him with all these consent. Then why?

"Candice! For once stay back otherwise my sword will raise." Uncle Cole threatened her.

"King Albert! Just think about it. She has a child who is the heir to this Kingdom along with Hulind. Will you not have the power over it as it's life will be living under your Kingdom?" Uncle Cole asked my Father sending me an apologetic look.

"He is right King Albert. This will definitely make their nerves lose." One of the council members said.

One after the one everyone accepted it and then finally the sword was taken back from me.

"But what about her punishment for this act of a traitor?" Candice asked making everyone think about it.

"Everyone needs to be punished for their mistakes. But as she is with child who is heir to the Kingdom the only punishment she will have is taking away her status from her." A council member said.

My Father nodded and said "Today onwards she is not Princess or Queen Melody. She is just Melody for everyone in this Kingdom."

With that order I just became like any other person living in the Kingdom. I was sent to Maid Quarters to live there.

Amy was about to get punished after me but as I was saved she was also saved from the punishment. Her present punishment was that no one in the Kingdom can talk to her. I wish I got that punishment remembering the taunting words mainly from Candice.

If Amy was not with me then I don't know how I could have even stayed alive with the looks sent by everyone who ever met me.

Along with them that Candice used many hurtful words every chance she gets. I ignored her but her words about my Husband already having someone in his life and enjoying in his Kingdom didn't passed off when you are having a child within you.

I maybe going to his Kingdom but I still remember their looks of killing me along with the looks of the people of my... not my Kingdom which are similar. I cannot forget that my own Father wanted to take my life away. I can never trust anyone other than Amy and maybe Juan because he doesn't have anything to do with any of these.

Sadly even I trust my husband but I can never accept that fact in my heart with conscious.

*Kendrick Pov*

I just sat there stunned after hearing everything that had happened on that day from Amy. All this had happened and I didn't even know.

I thought she was safe in her own Kingdom but now I know what a grave mistake I have done thinking in that way.

I glanced at Melody to see her still looking outside the chariot. She has a right to be angry on me. She has every right.

What if Cole didn't reach on time? What if I have lost her along with my child without even knowing its existence? No! I cannot think about it. I need to just protect her along with my child. That's all I need to do and I will fulfill it with all my might.

I continued to look at her while Juan looked at Amy. But both the women are looking outside the chariot not even glancing at us and not even acknowledging our presence.

And I know that what they are doing is right in their own places along with everyone's places. They have that right.
