[memories]

Almost exactly a year has passed since Taehyung and Jungkook had their first kiss, a year since the younger recovered from the Corona Virus, and a year since Jungkook first won the lion for the brunette at the festival.

And here they were.. Yoongi, Jimin, Namjoon, Jin, Jungkook, Taehyung, Mr. Lion, and Mr. Bunny all packed together in the same car that was driven to the festival a year ago. Since then only minor reports of the virus have come up with only 10% of the population having it, so now it was less of a worry than it was before.

"Babe can you drive any slower." Jimin groaned to Yoongi who was driving at around 12 miles per hour because of all of the traffic since the six of them were almost at the festival. "Glady." The older sarcastically stated as he slowed down the vehicle even more.

Namjoon and Jin were busy playing video games on their phones while Jungkook and Taehyung were too lost in their own world that they didn't even hear anyone who was talking.

"Okay guys we're here." Yoongi stated as he parked the car in one of the parking lots, Namjoon and Jin hopping out right when parked while Jimin waited with the older for the two that were still in the backseat of the car playing with their stuffed animals.

"Mr. Lion is getting bored of this car ride." Taehyung mumbled as he held the lion in front of him, speaking as if he was voicing the stuffed animal. "Mr. Bunny agrees, he can't wait to get out of the car so he can give you a piggyback ride."

"Ehem." Yoongi cleared his throat, both of the males heads snapping up to look at the older not even noticing they were at the festival until now. "We're here lovebirds."

"See Yoongi you drive so slow they didn't even notice we parked."  Jimin commented before getting out of the vehicle, the older groaning before hopping out as well to meet up with Namjoon and Jin who were getting ready to head to the festival.

Taehyung and Jungkook giggled to each other, both stepping out of the car to meet up with the others. Everyone raised their eyebrows once they saw Jin laughing in hysterics while pointing to his boyfriend.

"A bird already pooped on Joon!"

The said male only pouted while looking down towards his shoe that had a big white mark on it, frowning even more when he heard Jin's non stop laughing.

Taehyung made a disgusted face while staring at the elders shoe to which Jungkook laughed at once looking at the youngers side profile. The older of the two tapped the brunette's shoulder to get his attention.

"Get on my back." The raven haired whispered, bending down a bit so Taehyung could hop on before they sprinted off to the festival without the rest of the guys noticing.. still holding their plushies in their hands.

The stuffed animals were now a bit thrashed and not as clean looking as before, but they were still the same. To them they didn't care what they looked like on the outside because the memories that were hold within them stayed the same.

"I know right! And then I- wait, where's Taehyung and Jungkook?" Namjoon questioned once he realized the two weren't there anymore, everyone else turned their heads to see if the two were actually gone. The group sighed once they realized they probably ran off with each other, again.

"I wouldn't be surprised if we saw them hugging each other on one of the floats in the parade."  Yoongi commented, intertwining his hand with Jimin's as the four of them began to walk to the festival. Rainbow colors were being thrown around everywhere which was something they all appreciated, it made them feel welcomed in a way which brought smiles to their faces.

Jungkook softly let the brunette down off from his back, holding his hand right after as the two began to walk around the place. Observing everything that seemed a little different than last year, well Jungkook did at least. He still wished he went with Taehyung last year but that was now in the past.

"Is that where you won Mr. Lion?" Taehyung sweetly asked as he pointed to one of the booths that had a similar looking lion on one of the prize shelfs. Jungkook smiled to himself once he remembered trying his hardest to win that damn animal for the younger.

"It is indeed, want me to win you another one?"

"No, I like this one." The younger commented as he hugged the plushie tighter to his chest which the older thought was just adorable. The two began walking elsewhere, nearing another booth which looked to be a face painting station.

"Kook we should get matching rainbows!" Taehyung exclaimed as he began pulling the older towards the booth who was smiling like an idiot. The only time he ever smiled hard like this was when he was with the brunette.

"Anything you want baby."

The brunette giggled to himself, approaching the lady working at the station who had half of her face painted rainbow. The worker smiled once she saw the cute couple nearing her. "What design do you two want?"

Taehyung looked over at Jungkook to see if he wanted to choose the design. "You choose." The older smiled while reassuringly saying.

"Can we get matching rainbows on our cheeks?" Taehyung questioned. The lady smiled as she began getting out her supplies. "Of course sweetheart."

The two males sat down next to each other with their stuffed animals in their laps, waiting for the worker to start painting their faces. 

"Do you two want to set your animals down-"

"No." Taehyung and Jungkook both said in unison, not even letting the lady finish her sentence who shrugged before starting to paint a rainbow onto both of the males right cheek.

After a few minutes the art was finally complete. Taehyung quickly grabbed the mirror that was next to him and held it up to see the rainbow that was done beautifully. 

"I love it!" The younger commented before handing the mirror to Jungkook. The raven haired didn't even look at his own because he was too busy staring at the brunette's face. "I'm glad! Have a nice day you two." The lady waved goodbye before cleaning up her supplies, waiting for the next visitor.

"Kook let's go." Taehyung told once he saw that the said male wasn't moving and only looking at the rainbow that was painted onto the youngers cheek. Jungkook snapped out of it and turned his attention back to the brunette's eyes.

The older didn't even hear what Taehyung said so all he did was peck the youngers lips before taking his hand and beginning to walk elsewhere, the brunette now a blushing mess once again.

The two now began nearing a churro stand. Once Taehyung saw the stand he already knew that he really wanted a churro but he didn't want to pressure his boyfriend into buying him one, so the younger only stared longingly at the stand which now made it obvious that he did want one.

"You want one baby?" Jungkook questioned once he noticed Taehyung was just staring at a churro stand for practically a minute. The younger said nothing which was a yes to Jungkook which caused him to start dragging the brunette to the stand who was now smiling to himself.

"Two churros please." Jungkook told the worker while pulling out his wallet, deciding to get one for himself as well because why the heck not. The worker handed the raven haired the churros who turned around to face Taehyung with a geeky smile on his face, handing him one of the churros.

Taehyung placed a box smile onto his face once handed the churro, hugging the older afterwards before letting go to take a bite of the treat. Jungkook thought the younger could be the most adorable thing made in mankind.

The older grabbed the brunette's hand again as they began making their way to one of the tables, both of their eyes widening once they saw two very familiar people biting down on the ends of one churro like they were lady and the tramp.

"Jin? Namjoon?" Jungkook questioned while raising an eyebrow. Jin looked over at the raven haired and began choking once he realized the two were watching them. 

"Agh Jin!" Namjoon yelled at the older once he started choking on the churro, taking the treat out of his own mouth. "I thought you didn't have a gag reflex!"

"You don't say those things in public!" Jin yelled back once he was done choking, tossing the churro into the trash because he was now mad at it. The two awkwardly stared back at Taehyung and Jungkook who were trying to hold back their laughter.

And just when the four thought things couldn't get more hilarious, laughter and yells could be heard from behind them causing the heads to whip around to see the scene.

All of the guys now couldn't hold back their laughter once they saw Yoongi standing in the middle of a crowd with rainbow glitter stuck all over him. Jimin was laughing as well until he saw Taehyung, Jungkook, Jin, and Namjoon all standing near him not even knowing he was there.

"When worlds collide.." Jimin mumbled to himself, redirecting his gaze back up to Yoongi quickly afterwards. (if you didn't get the reference, idk you)

"Yoo what happened to him?" Jin questioned Jimin once he saw that he was there as well. "Someone sprayed confetti glitter all over him, they ran away." The younger laughed as he kept staring at Yoongi who had a blank expression.

Taehyung and Jungkook giggled as they continued to look at Yoongi who was a complete rainbow, still hand in hand with their plushies in the other arm.

"The parade will be beginning in ten minutes." The loudspeakers commanded. It was beginning to get dark out and the parades usually always started around eight pm. Once Jungkook heard the words, he quickly tugged the brunette's hand and started running with him towards a specific area, leaving the four other guys behind once again.

"Two tickets please." The guy who was working at the Ferris wheel told the two. Jungkook pulled out two tickets from his pocket before the worker opened the gates to the ride.

Taehyung widely smiled to himself as he hopped into the ride with his lion before the older did. Once the younger was seated, Jungkook sneakily walked over to the guy and whispered to him.

"Can you get us stuck at the top?"

The worker looked at the raven haired with an 'are you serious' expression, wondering why someone would want to get stuck at the top of a Ferris Wheel on purpose. "Sure?" He responded to which Jungkook happily smiled to, making his way to the younger who was safely holding the handles with his plushie in his lap.

"Excited?" The raven haired assumed when he saw how happy and excited the younger looked while looking up into the sky that was beginning to turn dark. The brunette quickly nodded his head while he impatiently waited for the ride to start.

After a few seconds, the Ferris wheel started up with a fast movement causing Taehyung to panic a little. Jungkook noticed this as he reassuringly held his hand in the latters, the youngers frantic expression turning into a soft one once he felt Jungkook's hand in his.

As the two began to go higher up they could start to see the parade being taken place, hundreds of pride floats beginning to show up from down below as they both continued to go higher and higher.

"Which one's your favorite?" Jungkook questioned the younger who was admiring all of the floats that seemed to be filled with effort. "That one." Taehyung pointed to one of the floats that had a dog on it that was dressed in a cute colorful outfit. The older chuckled at Taehyung's choice.

After a bit of going around in circles and holding hands, the two began to reach the top of the Ferris wheel for the sixth time before the ride suddenly stopped right at the tippy top causing Taehyung to widen his eyes.

"Did we get stuck?!" The younger questioned as he looked behind him and towards the ground, clutching the lion tightly in his lap because he was scared he'd accidentally drop it.

"We did? That sucks." Jungkook acted as he began to stare at the youngers side profile again. "Looks like your stuck here with me"

Taehyung began to grip the raven haired males hand tighter, feeling like he might fall even though there was no way that was able to happen. Jungkook could tell the younger was a bit scared so he turned to face him.

"Don't worry Tae, Mr. Bunny won't let you fall."

The fear in the said males eyes went away once he felt Jungkook raise his bunny up and made the animal kiss Taehyung's cheek, now a smile back onto his face as he turned to face the older as well.

The parade was now going on directly below them, people now looking like specks of dust and tiny ants which the younger thought was quite funny for some reason.

"Can you hug me.." Taehyung almost inaudibly mumbled, not enough for the raven haired to hear. "What was that baby?"

"Hug me."

Jungkook goofily smiled to himself like a dork as he wrapped his arms around the youngers slim body, making the brunette feel safe as they stared into each others eyes that were centimeters apart.

"Boop." The older cutely sounded as he touched his own nose to the youngers causing Taehyung's cheeks to turn pink. 

"There's fireworks that go off at nine PM." 

"Oh really?" Jungkook responded, taking his phone out of his pocket to check the time before placing it back into his pocket.

"It's 8:58" The raven haired told before an idea popped into his head. In one swift motion he swooped Taehyung onto his lap and wrapped his arms around the youngers tiny waist making the brunette giggle to himself.

Jungkook connected both of their foreheads together all while staring into each others eyes. Taehyung had no clue what was going on but he liked it none the less. Once the raven haired knew a minute and a few passed by he intertwined both of their two hands together.

"Count down from five baby."

The brunette was going to question why but then thought it was unnecessary to ask before he started counting.

"Five, four, three, two-" Taehyung didn't get to finish his counting before Jungkook connected both of their lips right as the rainbow colored fireworks went off behind them, the older satisfyingly smiling to himself once he realized he timed it perfectly.

Both of the males smiled into the kiss, deepening their compassion for the other as Taehyung's arms fell behind the raven haired males neck and Jungkook's arms wrapped around the youngers waist.. connecting the kiss even more.

The two widely smiled as they pulled apart, never losing eye contact while pulling the other closer.

"I love you so much Tae." Jungkook stated, closing his eyes once he felt Taehyung lean his head against his shoulder again. "I love you too kook."

The older was about to go in for another kiss before loud shouting was heart from below them causing both of their heads to travel down to the ground where they could see Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi, and Jimin all cheering for them.

"Idiots.." Jungkook mumbled which made the younger laugh. Jungkook really did love Taehyung's laugh. The brunette then softly tapped the raven haired males shoulder causing him to avery his attention to Taehyung.

"Mr. Lion wants another kiss." 

Jungkook giggled to himself as he pulled the younger closer again, their smiles millimeters apart.

"Mr. Bunny does too." The raven haired told, reconnecting both of their lips as the sparkling fireworks went off behind them. Rainbow glitters fell down onto the pair as they continued their kiss, the kiss that they would remember for the rest of their lives.

Both held their two animals against their chest while their lips were still connected. The plushies may have been old and worn down.. but all the two could see when they looked at them were happy, sad, funny, depressing, and heartwarming memories.

The windows. The gas station. The alleyway. The neighborhood. The school. The pier. The beach. The car. Even the god forbidden hospital.

The real reason the two kept the animals beside them at all times because to them they weren't stuffed animals, they were little capsules of all of the memories they shared together. Whenever they made a new memory together, a new memory would be saved onto the animal in their eyes. No one else could see it of course but Jungkook and Taehyung did.

And that's how it stayed for the pair for the rest of their lives.

omg wow i can't believe this book has ended, it kinda feels like it went by too fast because i had so much fun writing this.  im so glad you guys enjoyed this<3

also i thought about the sequel, and im sorry if im disappointing some of you but i decided not to do it. i thought it over and i felt like this book would lose some of its value if i made a sequel, the ending also wouldn't be one that some would necessarily enjoy or like so i decided to just end it here.
