[festival]

Jungkook tried to shake off the painful feeling on his cheek as he began to dress himself for his date with Taehyung. His dad slapped him the day before for breaking the social distancing rule and it left a stinging feeling on the raven haired males cheek but he didn't care too much.

Otherwise, Jungkook was super nervous today. He was always a little nervous when he hung out around Taehyung but today was different. He was planning on confessing his feelings to the younger which freaked him out a lot but he knew it was either now or never.

Right across from Jungkook was Taehyung who was frantically getting ready as well. Today he felt even worse than the day before and really just felt like sleeping the day off but he didn't want to miss this date for the life of him so he decided to push through.

"I look awful.." Taehyung told to himself through the mirror. His nose was completely red because of how much he's been blowing it and his face was completely flushed. His headache was also worse than before but he kept deciding to ignore it.

Once he was sort of okay with the way he looked he began walking downstairs to look for his mom. Taehyung asked his mother to drive him to where Jungkook wanted to meet up which she agreed to.

"I'm ready." The brunette croaked out. His voice was also going dry.

"Are you sure you don't want to stay home honey? You really don't look well."

"Mom I said I'm fine, let's go I'm going to be late."

The woman had an uneasy feeling but stood up and grabbed her keys none the less.

Taehyung's mother parked next to the familiar colorful alleyway with all of Jungkook's artwork. The brunette was still trying to hold back a cough so his mother wouldn't change her mind and take him home.

"So is this a date?" His mother questioned with a smirk as she looked over at her son who was now blushing. "Yeah.."

"Taehyung." The woman stated as she softly put her hand on her sons shoulder which made Taehyung gulp.

"Did you bring a condom?"

"Mom!" Taehyung yelled as he slapped his mothers hand away and started opening the car door, wanting to get out of that car as fast as possible. "Is Jungkook driving you home?" The woman asked before her son was able to run away.

"Yes, now bye!" Taehyung exclaimed as he shut the car door in embarrassment. His face was completely red now which he wish would go away. The brunette also let out a small cough before he went to go look for Jungkook.

As Taehyung turned the corner he could see a figure spray painting something onto the wall. He smiled once he realized it was Jungkook, slowly walking up to the male who hasn't noticed him yet.

"What are you painting?"

Jungkook jumped a little when he heard the voice but calmed down once he saw that it was just Taehyung, his poker face turning into a soft smile.

"Oh nothing." Jungkook chuckled as he turned his attention back to the drawing which looked remotely similar to the youngers helmet. "Hey is that my helmet?"

The raven haired laughed as he kept spraying inside the lines of the object. "Maybe~"

Once the older finished the painting he set the can down onto the ground and turned around to face Taehyung again. His face fell once he saw how sick the younger looked.

"Tae you don't look oka-"

"Jungkook, I'm fine. I already told you." Taehyung cut the older off because he knew what he was going to say. Jungkook frowned a bit but decided he should just believe the younger because he didn't want to start a feud.

The two didn't know what to say, so Jungkook made the first move and grabbed both of Taehyung's shaking hands.

"Your hands are shaking." The older pointed out causing Taehyung to giggle a bit. "I'm a little nervous."

"Hm, why?" Jungkook's facial expression turned more serious as he kept observing the youngers beautiful face. The brunette only shrugged as he shyly stared down at his feet.

"Oh kook, I was going to ask you if-" Taehyung started but suddenly became hesitant about what he wanted to say making Jungkook only more curious. "What was that?" The younger started sucking up some confidence before he asked his question.

"Uh, if you wanted to go to the pride festival with me.. it's in a few days.."

Jungkook was quite shocked at the mention of the festival at first, because even if he did admit that he was probably gay he never would have thought of himself going to the pride festival.

Everyone thought that the festival would be closed down this year because of the Virus, but surprisingly the governor stated that it could continue in Korea as long as everyone wore masks and stayed six feet apart.

"You don't have to if you don't want to, but Jimin and Yoongi are going and I don't really want to third wheel with them." Taehyung told. It was a tradition for him and Jimin to go to the pride festival with each other every year and he was quite disappointed that he wouldn't get to spend as much time with him this year.

"Do I have to dress up as a rainbow if I go?" Jungkook questioned which made the younger laugh. "No silly, you can wear whatever. I just thought it would be fun if we went together."

Jungkook only just found out that he was gay and he wasn't too ready to ready to come out to the whole world, he honestly only wanted Taehyung to know. He didn't want to say that he was ashamed of his sexuality but he was.

"I do want to go with you Taehyung.. but I don't know if I want everyone to know yet."

Taehyung was disappointed but he understood. If he just found out that he was gay he wouldn't really want to go to a party for it either.

"You don't have to be LGBTQ+ to go to it, you can just go to show that you support it." Jungkook thought about what Taehyung was saying. He really did want to spend time with the younger and he guessed if he just said that he went to show support then no one would get suspicious.

"I'll go with you." The older confirmed which caused a huge smile to form on Taehyung's face. "Thanks kook! It'll be so much fun!"

Jungkook laughed at how cute the youngers actions were. He watched as Taehyung's eyes turned into crescents and that was all it took for him to know that he was ready to confess.

"Tae.. there's something I have to tell you." The older admitted as he began to close the gap between the two. Taehyung's heart began to beat quickly out of anxiousness.

"Do you know why I broke up with Jennie?"

Taehyung shook his head no. He knew that Jungkook was annoyed of her but he didn't know the whole reason. The older inhaled a breath of air before speaking again.

"It was because of you."

The younger instantly felt super guilty as a frown formed onto his face. "Oh.. I'm sorry I didn't mean-"

"No no no that's not what I meant." Jungkook quickly spoke not wanting the younger to get the wrong idea. "What I meant is that.." The raven haired hesitated before spilling his confession.

"I broke up with her because I realized I like you."

Taehyung widened his eyes as he tried to process what he just heard. He barely even reacted because he just couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"I know you probably only like me as a friend, but I just needed to tell you. Ever since I realized I liked you I couldn't ever get you off my mind. Like seriously, I tried playing Overwatch yesterday and I couldn't even focus because my mind is so warped around you." The older chuckled.

The brunette was still trying to grasp on to the fact that Jungkook liked him back, he never would of thought in a million years that such a guy would like him back. Taehyung only pondered there for another minute before he found the courage to confess as well.

"I-" Before the younger could say anything his throat began to itch as multiple cough sounds started coming out from his mouth. Most of them were aggressive which caused Jungkook to fill up with worry. The coughing wouldn't stop so the older grabbed ahold of Taehyung's arm and dragged him over to his car.

"I'm taking you to the hospital." The brunette couldn't even respond because he was coughing so much causing Jungkook to start panicking. Fuck I should've taken him right when I heard him first cough the older thought to himself as he began speeding, wasting no time as he kept checking back on the younger who was still painfully coughing.

also I saw someone say that it must be hard for me to find time to write so much, and honestly it's not hard at all. I mean what else do you do during a pandemic 👁️👄👁️ like damn I have all the time in the world right now I don't get why other authors aren't updating sskjsnfjs
