Epilogue

"Taehyung" he heard the waitress' voice beside him and blankly turned his head to the side. "I'm a big fan. I've admired all of your works, and I really want to ask. Will you marry me?" the girl asked almost immediately with a huge smile plastered on her face.

"No" Taehyung replied bluntly while looking at the girl. "I'm married already" he said, making the smile of the girl to drop.

You see, Taehyung, being one of the most famous artists, is quite well known by everyone around him because of his looks, and of course his emotive arts.

Though he's always cold to everyone, people find it hot.

Looking at the cafe's wall clock, Taehyung placed his wallet back in his pocket.

"It's already evening. My wife would get angry if I don't be with her on time" he simply said to the waitress next to him while paying for the iced coffee he just finished drinking.

Getting up, Taehyung walked out of the cafe.

With a knee length overcoat on top of his attire, Taehyung looked more than just irresistible.

Grey clouds covered the sky as he looked at the road, couples walking hand in hand, few with kids, and few with their pets.

A small smile appeared on Taehyung's face as he remembered his wife again.

"Oh, I forgot to buy her chocolates" Taehyung said, slightly facepalming himself before jogging to the nearest shop.

Picking a box of his wife's favourite chocolates, Taehyung paid for it and left the shop.

Checking his watch, the man huffed slightly.

"What will I tell her? It's late already" he said to himself before walking to where he parked his car earlier.

Getting in, he started the engine and started to drive, scolding himself again and again for being late.

Half an hour later, Taehyung arrived at his destination and got out of the car hurriedly.

Dusting his overcoat, he held the box of chocolates in his hand.

Taehyung breathed in and out, getting himself ready to apologize to his wife for being late.

Walking in, he stopped in front of where his wife is.

"Jagi, I'm sorry. I know that I'm late" Taehyung said with a pout, feeling guilty. "But let's clean your place first, shall we?" he asked with his signature boxy smile, walking away after placing aside the box of chocolates.

Taehyung came back with a bucket of water, a cup in it.

Crouching down, he slowly cleared the leaves and dust off the grave with his bare hands, like he'd do everyday in these thirteen years.

When a vaccine was found and the world returned to its normal way of living, people were allowed to visit the graves, and the deceased patients were buried in their own grave. This was thirteen years ago.

And Taehyung would never want to stop himself coming here. He'd come here everyday. When he's happy, when he's sad. When he's angry at himself or anyone.

Even during his small success and failures, he'd come here.

Finally finished with cleaning the grave like everyday, Taehyung walked away to keep the empty bucket in the gravedigger's place.

Coming back, he slowly sat sown with legs criss cross in front of the grave.

"Y/n, I brought your favourite chocolates today" he said while opening the box. "And how's Tannie doing with you?" he asked while unwrapping the chocolate bar.

Yeontan passed away six months ago, and Taehyung convinced himself that Tannie's with you.

"Do you remember how Yeontan would interrupt us every time we kiss?" he asked and chuckled at the memory.

Raising his head up, he looked at your name carved on the stone.

"You won't eat the chocolate even today, will you?" he asked in a low voice, and smiled sadly.

Taking a bit out of the chocolate, Taehyung sighed.

"It's okay. I'll wait for you to call me up there" he said. "And there was this waitress in the cafe today. She asked me if I could marry her. But I told her that I'm married already" he said again.

"I'm only for you, my wifey" he said with a boxy grin.

A few hours passed again as Taehyung continued to tell you about his day and random things, adding perverted comments in between and laughing to them.

"Taehyung" he heard the gravedigger call him. "It's night already. You should be going" the middle aged man, who became Taehyung's friend in these years, said.

Sighing, Taehyung slowly got up.

"I'll be back soon. Bye, jagi" he said with a small smile while walking away.

The gravedigger went back to his place as Taehyung started the car, driving away.

Since there weren't any vehicles on the road to the cemetery, the man could see Taehyung's car even from far away.

And he felt like what happened next was a dream.

A huge truck, from the road across to the one Taehyung was driving on, lost control and clashed against the black car.

Gasping, the gravedigger immediately got up off his chair, running to the sight.

On reaching there, the middle aged man saw that the truck's driver was getting out hurriedly while calling an ambulance, cursing at himself loudly.

On the other side, Taehyung's car crashed against the tree, window glass and windshield broken into tiny pieces.

Unlocking the door, the middle aged man caught Taehyung who was about to fall out sideways.

His head and face dangerously covered with blood, eyes closed, and no breathing could be heard.

With slightly shaking hands, the gravedigger slowly took Taehyung's wrist to check his pulse.

"So she finally called him to her" the middle aged man said to himself, letting Taehyung's stiff hand fall.

~

Taehyung looked straight, and then to his sides, his mouth parted confusedly yet cutely.

"Baby bear" a sweet voice whispered at his back.

Eye slightly widened, Taehyung snapped his head to the back.

"Y/n!" he exclaimed and you chuckled as he jumped on you, hugging you tightly.

"Yes! I'm finally dead!" he yelled in victory and you shook your head with a sigh, but the little smile still on your face.

Pulling away, he smooched your face with kisses and you giggled.

Finally, he leaned in closer to your face, capturing your lips with his.

The same lips. The same touch. And he felt the same too.

Taehyung can never forget how he feels with you.

Your lips moved with his in sync, yearning for each other like always.

His kiss never failed to give you butterflies.

A few minutes later, Taehyung pulled out of the kiss, ending with a sweet sound.

"So tell me. Where do I live after this?" Taehyung asked with a boxy grin. In response, you hummed a little while thinking.

"I can welcome a roommate" you said and then chuckled along with Taehyung. The line sounded utterly familiar.

Of course it does. It was what you said when Taehyung had to find a place to move in before the quarantine started.

That's how your love story with him started after all.

And, well, it wasn't you who brought him here. The accident just happened.

Slowly getting up with Taehyung, you looked at him.

Pecking his lips, "I love you, Tae bear" you said while smiling, a tint of pink on both your cheeks.

"I love you too, baby bear" Taehyung said, kissing your cheek.

"You are the one who's supposed to be called baby bear" you said and he chuckled. "Your grandmother and Tannie are in my place. Get ready to meet them too" you added and Taehyung's smile widened even more as he nodded his head.

"By the way, I missed bubby" he said while bending his head down a little, pecking your bust.

"Byu-Tae!" you exclaimed with slightly widened eyes and slapped Taehyung's arm. Woah! He's still obsessed with your breasts.

Chuckling again, your alien slowly took your hand in his.

"So, what do you think?" you asked as he intertwined his fingers with yours.

Looking into your eyes, Taehyung started speaking.

"I think we deserve a soft epilogue, my love. We are good people and we've suffered enough."
