EXTENDED SUMMARY:

Karlie Clarke has been working as a paid intern for The Daily Bugle since she was a freshman in high school. She has been the best intern they've ever had, and even occasionally writes articles and takes pictures for stories. She never misses a deadline.

Since she is now a senior, she has been trying to get an actual job at Bugle as a photographer or an editor. Her boss decides to test her, and give her a story to find out. He tells her that if she can find out who Spiderboy (Spiderman) is, then he will give her a job at Bugle. Karlie accepts the challenge, not realizing that her nerdy lab partner, Peter Parker, is Spiderboy (Spiderman).

NOTES:

— Karlie is a senior, she is 17 and Peter is 16

— Karlie basically ends up tracking down when Spiderman is out and realizes it's always right after school ends. she slowly ends up realizing that peter is spiderman and confronts him about it which he denies of course but she's not stupid

— she basically just ends up putting all the pieces together like how he was gone for civil war, bruises and scratches he gets sometimes, how he leaves immediately after school, the tony stark internship

— she doesn't immediately think it's him but she suspects it and joins the academic decathlon team and stuff. she finally realizes it at decathlon, and confronts him afterwards before they head back to queens

— she obviously does not end up writing the story bc well his identity is a secret and stuff but she her boss ends up giving her the job anyway bc he knows she's talented

— you can decide if she ends up with peter or not in the end

— you can change the fc but it MUST BE A POC

— also, with the spiderboy thing, that's what she calls him bc she refuses to call him spiderman
