1. BASIC INFO

- Name (last/first): Tsuji Kasumi (辻/霞純)

- Nicknames/aliases: Kaz, Tsumi (but most of the time ppl just use their full name)

- Age: 15

- Gender, pronouns: nonbinary, they/them

- Sexuality: androsexual

- Height & weight: 1m60, 48kg

- Appearance: quite androgynous-looking. Medium skin that tans easily, but they often get terrible tan lines due to starting out palest possible bc they stay indoors a lot. Long, straight dark brown hair that reaches the small of their back, that is almost always let down and falls into their face. Complete eye heterochromia; the right one is sky blue, while the left one is dark gold with light brown specks. Tooth gap in between 2 foremost front teeth on the upper jaw.

- Physique: smol & kinda frail/scrawny-looking

- Health:
Physical: a bit more muscle mass would do them good; sometimes they rely on their Stand too much in fights
Mental: anger issues/anger management problems

- Scars/freckles/birthmarks: a tiny scar at the base of their right thumb, from one time messing with Aya's equipment when they were young. Otherwise, nothing worth nothing.

- Piercings/tattoos: standard earlobe piercings

- Wardrobe (clothing & jewelry): baggy clothes. Almost always seen wearing long pants (baggy jeans/sweatpants/cargo pants) or long skirts (flowy maxi types). Daily: t-shirt when it's hot, slap a hoodie or sweatshirt over it when it's cold. School/formal: button-down shirt with sweater/blazer/cardigan on top, same bottoms. Shoes are either sneakers or boots most of the time, but is easy to move around in, and is tough enough to hurt if they ever decide they wanna kick someone. Will wear different types of jewelry if it matches their outfit, but often only small/light ones, like little bracelets or earrings.

2. BACKSTORY

- Backstory: they're a pt4 baby, & the only child of Aya Tsuji (I hc her to be a single mom). They have a pretty normal childhood growing up, and was very close to their mom, due to being a timid kid who was intimidated by the thought of reaching out and befriending strangers. Aya also greatly loved her kid, and put a lot of effort into raising & providing for them. Both mother and child were sort of the only person the other one had, Kasumi being born without the knowledge of their biological father, and Aya having only recently moved to Morioh to start her life over.

Everything in p4 still happened though, so Aya died when they were 11 ;_; Kasumi was devastated. Due to being a powerful but volatile young Stand user, they were not put into an orphanage or put up for adoption, but were put into the care of the Speedwagon Foundation instead. SPW tried to give them a sense of normality back, but for two years Kasumi descended into a state of constant grief, and refused to go on with life as normal (ie, they would not go to school, would not speak or engage with anyone, would not use their Stand etc.). Even now, the topic of their mom is still incredibly touchy; they would answer when asked that they're an orphan & adopted, but when pressed any more they will snap.

The grief & psychological damage only got a bit better with time, but Kasumi went from being a sweet, bashful child to a reserved, mistrustful teenager. They also developed anger management problems, that would manifest outwardly as shouting/snapping at, insulting, & threatening people when they got on their nerves, and inwardly as confusion & self-loathing.

- Current situation: "adopted" by SPW (American branch), attending a prestigious boarding school in the U.S.

3. PERSONALITY

- Main traits: doubtful/mistrusting, pessimistic, quiet & reserved, polite & respectful, caring & attentive, secretly childlike, can be touchy/sensitive

- Their default is a very shy, timid type of personality. However, as they grew up, there is also some reservation & apathy mixed into this. And then ofc, rage mode :') where they just go apeshit, and it is a scary 180° from their normal personality. There is a clear duality.

- They naturally have a hard time trusting ppl and adapting to new environments, so when they were yanked from their daily life to this brand new one, that only skyrocketed. They can work with others, but that doesn't mean they necessarily trust them.

- Once they've warmed up to a person and deem them someone worthy of their care, Kasumi will care them a lot 🥺 They're the type to show affection through actions not words, so they would never voice their fondness of another person out loud, but will do little thoughtful things like remember that person's habits, their birthday, their favorite foods & so on. It's hard to notice at first, but when that person does it suddenly becomes very obvious how much Kasumi cares about them.

- Despite how they seem, a lot of their behaviors are actually extremely childlike, ie: leaving their hair a mess, being suspicious of strangers, having weird special interests (in monsters & the like).... Definitely the "sex real?¿" type :')

- They get a bad rep as the antisocial rage demon, so whenever someone gets past that initial impression and actually tries to get to know them, Kasumi will literally become the most thankful and patient person ever. Won't bother with people who don't though; they aren't troubled by the fact that they don't have many friends.

- When they aren't feeling irrationally angry, they're quite polite and respectful of others, especially adults. Would never actively push boundaries or try to aggravate/upset ppl.

4. ABILITY

- Age developed: birth

- Appearance: it's their left/gold-colored eye. Their eyes are actually naturally blue like Aya's, but this is unknown even to them, because ever since birth their Stand has manifested and colored over their left eye. Visible to non-Stand users!

When its ability activates, veiny gold lines will extend from that eye and spread throughout their whole body, transforming them as they spread. Their blue eye will also turn gold.

Their clothes & other accessories don't shapeshift with them, so a lot of the times when they shift & then revert back they'll just be butt-naked ._. Let shapeshifters struggle ✊

- Ability: basically, it allows Kasumi to shapeshift, partially or completely, into any kind of monster/monstrous creature they can conjure up in their head. (Monsters would be those horror-movie-ish really grotesque things, for example the monsters in "A Quiet Place;" while monstrous creatures encapsulate anything from dragons to sirens to harpies etc..) The caveat is that the creature has to be biologically functional, else it won't work (ie: if they want to turn into a harpy but accidentally picture its wings too small for its body, they won't be able to fly later on; if they picture a dragon but forget the lungs by accident, the Stand won't let them turn at all). It also cannot be disproportionately big or small (max would be approx. truck-sized, min would be approx. shoe-sized). But otherwise, once Kasumi is successful, they will be able to function just as well as in their human body. This Stand has high combative potential, & is mostly used for that purpose too.

For partial shifts, it can only be small things, and for a short while/for as long as Kasumi's human physique can support it. For example, they can create a tail, but since they don't have the extra blood to supply it with, they will have to disable their Stand ability before the "blood loss" makes them dizzy or pass out; there would also be issues with balance & a shift in their center of gravity.

For complete shifts, they can maintain their form significantly longer, and depending on the creature they turn into, they will also get strength &/or speed boosts. But still, of course, the form will only last as long as they have the stamina and focus for it; once they tire themself past a certain point, Y&M's ability will deactivate no matter what. Plus it's nearly impossible to come out of a transition and immediately shapeshift again, due to lack of strength, so Kasumi usually has to consider what creature would suit a situation the most before turning & trying to stay in that form for as long as possible.

The complete shift also comes with more risks:

(1) Obviously, they can't speak. Their brain also starts to work in a slightly different way from a normal human's. They lose some of their grip on sanity/common sense & humanity. They would still try to be functional, but there's a good chance they will just snap and go apeshit, maybe even bring harm to themself or their allies in battle. Because of this, they're usually most comfortable when fighting alone.

(2) Too much shapeshifting in too little time will cause them to lose their sense of identity. Sort of like amnesia, & can only be cured by taking a break from using Y&M. It's unnerving to others when this happens; often they won't remember certain events, or some of their physical features will look different, but Kasumi won't realize it themself. They're kind of bad about keeping this in check, too.

It's rumored that:

(1) Kasumi's appearance has actually changed over time due to them shapeshifting too much; they're no longer the person they were when they were born.

(2) It's possible that their human form is just a vessel to conceal their true form as a monster.
