2. BACKSTORY

- Backstory/past:

TL;DR: talented kid ballet dancer that got recruited by the Russian govt to do their dirty work, which in the process became very physically & mentally taxing for him; accidentally gave himself a Stand with an Arrow

Eliezer is an only child, born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia. From a young age, he has taken a liking to the arts, especially ballet. In all the clubs and classes he attended, he always stood out among his peers. At first, his parents saw it as a harmless extra-curricular; however, when he began to show real talent (~3rd grade), they decided he should take a different path.

Eliezer was unenrolled from dance classes and discouraged from joining clubs, and instead had to follow a rigorous (one-on-one) training regimen created by his parents and the professional coaches/ teachers they hired. Not only did this put him under physical stress from excessive training, it also put him under mental stress from having less time to interact with friends and do "kid stuff," and being harshly disciplined & trained from a young age. This, plus his parents' academic expectations, greatly affected Eli's social life and put a lot of pressure onto him as a young child, but his parents ignored it all on the path to success, i.e. their son becoming (one of) the best professional ballet dancer nationally & internationally.

This resulted in Eli developing depression, and also him having a terrible social life, w barely any friends and always feeling alone in his struggles. He also lost much of the joy he found in ballet. (This is why he (1) overshares, (2) is afraid to complain, cry or show any sign of weakness in general, for fear of punishment.)

Toward the end of his primary skl & the start of his secondary one, his parents considered enrolling him in ballet school. However, before they could, the family received a message from the Russian government saying they would be interested in utilizing Eli's abilities further. The money was what won his parents over in the end, and they agreed. From then, Eli was enrolled in a private (& likely govt-owned) academy, and his training taken over by coaches sent by the govt.. Historically, in Russia, ballet is used as a sort of political tool/non-violent propaganda spread through performances — so aside from entertainment, Eli's skills can be used for politics.

The govt deemed that, appearing as an innocent, unassuming child, Eliezer was best suited for missions requiring disguise and stealth. Thus, along with starting secondary school (~6th grade), Eli began his training in assassination. Disguised as a young dancer/entertainer tagging along/hired for private entertainment purposes, he would be assigned (1) bodyguarding missions for important officials, (2) public assassinations, often during performances. Eli was provided with ballet costumes and shoes containing tiny, flexible and often poisoned blades, that would shoot out and kill his target when he moves/dances a certain way. (This works well w the style of ballet he does as well – Vaganova, which is (to quote wikipedia) "designed to involve the whole body in every movement, with equal attention paid to the upper body, legs and feet".)

It was a physically & mentally taxing task, and while a lot of Eli's missions fall into gray areas (national enemies, private grudges that may affect innocents etc.), he's still taking human life, which just doesn't sit right w him whichever way he tries to think of it.

(TW: s*icide) This guilt and conflict, along with all his pent-up frustration and his rapidly declining mental state, drove Eliezer to attempting suicide one day while on a mission. Long story short, he was bodyguarding this one govt official at their home, and during a particularly bad depressive episode Eli got ahold of an Arrow in that official's house. He stabbed himself in the neck w it (hence the scar), and passed out due to blood loss and being unable to breathe – but woke up the next morning all healed up and with a Stand. Nobody knows he did this, but after this incident he asked to get his mental health checked out and had to take meds for some time. Thankfully, at this time he had a very good instructor at the academy, who was understanding and helped a lot to ease his burden, basically speaking to his parents and also the higher-ups to make them understand that if they didn't go easier on him, they might lose him completely. - Current (living) situation: still employed by the government, but since he's older now he has more freedom over his own life, schooling, training and so on. Most likely lives alone, but of course his place is under constant guarding/surveillance from the govt, so neither is he in danger (from revenge plots, plans of treason etc.), nor can he go rogue and become a danger to his higher-ups.

3. PERSONALITY

- Personality:

- Eli's not afraid to say what's on his mind, often not really having a filter, thus he can end up inadvertently offending people. There's no guarantee that if he thinks it can hurt your feelings, he'll hold back, tho 🌚 Has a low tolerance for bullshit and will call you out if you get on his nerves.

- There are times he would hold back tho, just out of respect/politeness; it's unlike him, but it's prolly been drilled into him, bc in his childhood if he spoke up against anything his parents or instructors said, he'd get hella clapped ⚰️ So he kinda doesn't give a shit, but sometimes he kinda does.... Honestly, it pisses him off too.

- Extremely determined and self-disciplined; he will not rest until he's done what he set out to do. Greatly respects hard work and genuine effort. He's a perfectionist also, so he may seem hard on others but the person he's the hardest on is himself.

- Despite his face, he's actually an emotional person! Feels emotions strongly and is not afraid to articulate them, but he'll save the crying for when he's in private 🌚🤚 is absolutely a cryer tho

- Surprisingly, he's not very secretive; will spill his personal deets as soon as somebody trustable breathes in his direction (he's lonely ok?!). But he'll die before leaking anyone else's secrets; extremely trustworthy in this case. Additionally, while you will most likely know the history behind all his plushies after a week of befriending him, his job is not something he'll EVER let slip; he fully understands the consequences not only to himself, but also to his family and acquaintances if it were to ever get out.

4. ABILITY

- Appearance: aphenomenon/colony-type Stand, WMD appears as miniature clouds floating around Eliezer when summoned. Looks like how you'd expect clouds to look: oval-shaped, cotton candy- like, fluffy, white/gray in color. The clouds are not misty/foggy but rather defined (a little cartoony-looking tbh), but there may be wisps around them, or a light haze surrounding Eli still.

- Ability:

WMD can change the density of anything they possess/fuse/"go" into; they make things lighter or heavier. These things include any conventional object like tables, chairs... as well as animals and humans; it also includes Eli himself. Usually, when summoned, 3-5 appear at first, then as they go off to do their job... more can spawn.

Eli hasn't yet discovered a limit as to how light or how heavy he can make things, bc he usually just decide it by feeling or observation (due to gravity once sth starts floating up, or sinking into the earth from sheer weight, that's when he decides it's probably ok to stop messing with the density). He also hasn't discovered a limit as to how much cloud he can summon. In general, it's a reasonably large amount for both of these; if he overdoes it, he'll start feeling fatigue and either pain/soreness as if he's carrying a lot of weight, or light-headedness, dizziness and worse balance, as if he's suddenly very light.

A secondary ability that Eliezer has less control over, is when WMD decides to get agro. Despite just being clouds, they're semi-independent at times, and are extremely protective of their user. They can attack with lightning, thunder, all types of rain (ice, snow, rain shower...), and form wind currents by floating quickly in some certain fashion; the more clouds are summoned the stronger these attacks will be. In this mode WMD is summoned based on Eli's mood, plus the moods & intentions they sense from the ppl he's interacting with; the more upset/riled-up/etc Eli is, the more clouds will form. Eli usually let them do their thing (since by this point he's too upset to properly control them anymore), but back to the sensing intentions part, depending on if their user truly means harm, the clouds will limit or ramp up their destructive power.

Other info:

- WMD can form themselves into different shapes, like how normal clouds do; this is mostly just for entertainment

- They're also useful for misc purposes like, idk, watering plants, covering/concealing stuff, providing humidity etc.

- They most likely can't do the typical enter-person's- lungs-suffocate-them thing, since they're not dense/ watery enough.

- sth Eli actually uses them for fairly often is to reduce stress on his injuries. For example, if he has a knee or foot injury he'll just make himself lighter so there's not as much strain on the problem area; if his back feels stiff he'll lighten it for a while to relieve the pain etc. He would never use WMD to assist with training or performance tho; that to him is like cheating and devaluing his and other ppl's hard work.

- When Eli or sb else is sad, they can also form into shapes and do funny little skits, or make rainbows if there's light, to cheer said person up.
